    I have to say, from all the rigs I tried, spinner/ronnie rig is The One for casting. I set-up mine using a pike wire for 9kg, 15cm. Loop to loop to the swivel and done, this lasts until the wire is hell bent from all the fish you land. I buy alliexpress gear as the quality is basically the same as all the renowned brands for a fraction of the cost. I use 1m of lead-core, helicopter setup and I use a simple loop on the lead-core to secure the rubber bead on it, if there is a big fish or snag, the rubber bead will be sliced and loop will straighten up.

    • @zvoltejinylogin
      @zvoltejinylogin 3 года назад

      only if you use a boat, for casting with a standard lead-clip spinner/ronnie is not as efficient. Depends on the bottom, if there is weed, the lead lands first and the rig lands behind it... there was a video that showed it dunno if fox or korda. I also tried it and helicopter set-up is the one that does not tangle anywhere as long as you move the stop-bead and the rig is properly balanced. I would advise to use small PVA bags that helps with presentation and tangles, but use a very stiff boom section - like a pike wire there is nothing stiffer than a wire.

    Not impressed with the Korda crimps crimped me 25lb Korda boom with the small 6mm crimps got me pulling tools either end and snapped under hardly any pressure. Made sure I did a really hard squeeze with the crimp tool on the 6mm small crimp slot 3 failed on the bounce won’t be using on my rig set up will stick to tried and tested fishing knots

    • @johnlee2230
      @johnlee2230 2 года назад

      Your obviously not doing it quite right otherwise it wouldn't break, be extra careful the barrels on the crimp are lined up with the groove & slowly squeeze, it should compress the crimp, if it flattens it then its not correct. If you get it right then it will be stronger than any knot.

    If you lose the lead on a helicopter rig, there is no way of the hooklink getting off the leader if Mainline broke without the weight of the lead to pull against.
