You no what, I never really liked the smooth bezel and oyster bracelet, but that is a nice watch and I might be able to afford one when I’m 85 years old. Of course by then that watch will be $25,000.
I love the new date just. It’s the only model for men my local AD would let me order vs waiting for ever on a waiting list. I chose the palm dial with jubilee bracelet. It will be a keeper for me. I hate all these people who love money more than horlogerie…Personally if I want to make more money, I work a little harder.
I have the previous 116200 DJ36. I do like the railroad tracks, bigger lugs, and it comes with roulette date wheel. Can't go wrong with either. The 70hr power reserve for the new DJ is an upgrade from 48hr. TBH I really like the new 126234 black diamond w/ jubilee, but prices has gone up for all models. The new jubilee has the easy link as opposed to the super jubilee.
i’m considering buying one of them too and now you can get a really decent one for a good price. i also love the rail, thicker lugs and roulette definitely looks amazing…the only advantage i see with the new model (personally) is the power reserve capacity.
Thanks for asking this. It seems so matte black in this video but in some pictures online it seems VERY sunbursted, almost grey/light brown rather than black.
Bought my 36mm blue dial Rolex Datejust back in 1998 and still wear it till this day, beautiful watch and glad I purchased it brand new at the time, don’t think I’m willing to pay for the current market price.

They do, but that’s not a bad thing-it’s part of the journey. I forced myself of wearing it non stop for two weeks and then it’s yours 😉

I sourced the black from my brother-in-law and I own the blue. Even got myself the OEM jubilee which I mostly wear it on. Can't go wrong with these.
