- Ellen chatted with new mom Lavi Mounga, who didn’t know she was pregnant and went into labor during a flight! Luckily, Dr. Dale Glenn, nurses Lani Bamfield, Amanda Beeding, Mimi Ho, and physician assistant Lindsay Maughan were all on the plane and came to her rescue! Lavi talked about how she went into the bathroom thinking her contractions were just cramps, and the medical professionals chatted about having to be resourceful on a plane. Ellen then surprised Lavi with all of the gifts from her Mother’s Day show, and her friends at Shutterfly also had a special gift for the new mom and the medical workers!

Father of baby Raymond/Wade here (Wade was my contribution to the name 😂) I just want to thank EVERYONE in this comment section and everyone who has been there for Lavi and baby. It’s been so overwhelming for her but she’s been a superhero and stayed strong for baby. Thank you Ellen for giving her this amazing opportunity to be on there! Birth in the air is beginning to be more common. Airplanes should start having medical supplies for birth just in case

That medical team was "Macgyvering" the necessary equipment on the fly (insert pun) using whatever anyone had on hand. It must have been such an intense scene that those primed professionals stayed focused on the task at hand- getting mom and baby to the hospital. I wonder what they used as a suction to get baby's airway cleared out. I see a Hallmark movie in the future.
