    My personal preference would be for Anderson & Sheppard's signature unconstructed style of bespoke tailoring.

    Great interview with a charming tailor. Did I miss something or did we not see the linen PJs or the Corduroy suit?

    Why do they call this shop a haberdashery? I didn't hear about any buttons or zippers for sale there. It sounded like a men's clothing store to me. 😊

    I'm not sure about corduroy for suits and/or jacket alone? I always get a picture of Matt Damon playing the badly dressed Ripley in the movie by Patricia Highsmith vis-a-vis what's his name playing Dicky Greenleaf . IMHO it always seems to look a little too agricultural looking to be elegant !?

    It is a little inappropriate to refer to Anderson and Sheppard as a "brand".

      I must agree

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  3 года назад +5

      How would you refer to them? They are, first and foremost, a bespoke tailoring house. But they have also certainly developed a “brand,” especially with their RTW endeavors.

    • @karldelavigne8134
      @karldelavigne8134 3 года назад +2

      @@kirbyallison I would suggest "firm" in this instance, as this shop is the outfitting arm of the original bespoke tailoring business. It is one thing to develop a brand, but referring to a business as a brand prioritises the commercial image of the name over the business activity. That smacks of throwaway fashion, large chains, or ostentatiously named merchandise (such as Hollister or even Louis Vuitton).
