Lovely buggy Hares Ear. Took one look at yours and went and tied up a few new ones with a much buggier mix.

Different sizes Trevor from 2mm upwards depending on how deep the lake is and how fast you want them to go down.👍🎣🐟

Trouble with very slow or static is that fish van swallow flies...... between today and had 9 fish and most of them swallowed flie deep. Even with barbless or debarbered its difficult to get hook out. As catch and release i managed to get hooks out of all of them, but some their stomack was getting pulled into their throat in an effort for me to get the hook out. None went belly up. I hope all manage to survive. I do believe trout can survive sometimes even if trauma to stomach like that, ( ive seen fish with xornorant damage, with healing wound with guts visible ) but its not ideal

Small barbless nymphs normally drop out as the fish is landed in the net 🎣🐟.

@@alecharveyfishingandflytying What when they taken into stomach? Don't think so!! Maybe I should come and show you how to fish.......my average on my local is 10 fish, when most people blank and when someone catches 4 and it's a red letter day......I know what I'm taking about
