Nice looking fly Alec. Vey close to the fly i use at sharpley i normally fish it on the top and when it sinks i fish it on a jerky figure of eight. Keep the video's coming mate i really enjoy watching.
@@alecharveyfishingandflytying Thanks but do my own zonkers........any zonker is really, ' deadly '. I'm sick of people doing slight variants of already successfully flies and making out that they are a wonder fly.....also have you ever fished one without the eyes and found any difference? Personally, I think eyes could scare some fish. Also the zonker might also be taken as a leech ( if it's black or brown ) which don't have eyes. I think flyfishing is too over complicated......I think the fish are attracted to a zonker just because of the very mobile 'wing' . .I'm not even convinced that hotspots make a difference, although a bit of flash likely attacks fish.
I love the simplicity of your flies! Easy, Fun And fish catching machines
Well Done!
Thank you , that lovely comment is very much appreciated 👍🎣🐟
Excellent choice! Olive zonker is definitely my go-to for winter rainbows. I tie a hot spot into the tail, too. Fished slow on a long leader for me.
Cheers , its a great big fish catching fly .👍🎣🐟
Really nice looking fly
Thanks, much appreciated 🎣🐟
