Jig Streamer: Feather Flingers "Cousin It" Variation

- In this video we're tying my most favorite jig streamer pattern. I fish it both on a euro and suspension rig. Brandon Mena AKA Feather Flinger is the mastermind behind this bug. It's a flat out fish catcher.

Hook: FullingMill Jig #8
Bead: FullingMill Slotted Tungsten 3.8 Fl. Orange
Lead: .020 Lead (Crazy right)
Thread: UTC 70 Denier Fl Fire Orange
Tail: Pine Squirrel Zonker, Tan, Micro
Dubbing: Arizona Semi Seal, Canadian Brown in a dubbing loop
Legs: Micro Barred Grizzly Legs, root beer
Collar: Arizona Semi Seal, Canadian Brown in a dubbing loop. You could change it up for that sweet two tone effect.

Jig streamers on a tight-line set up have become my go to here in WI. Way more productive than throwing and stripping meat. You ever fish this in a tandem rig?
Couldn’t agree more . I do fish these on tandem rigs a lot. I’ll run my jig streamer on point if I’m doing it that way . In my experience it seems like it fishes better and tangles less.

It’s a dubbing spinner . That one specifically is made by OPST and I love it . I’m not sure if they make it anymore but the Loon spinner is similar in weight and has a loop so it’s easier to palmer.

She thiqqq but I would say a 1/2” should be okay if you’re other nymph is light .
So why the OPST dubbing spinner?
It’s heavy and spins really tight cables . Best dubbing spinner I’ve ever used . The Loon one is basically the same thing
