The place seemed ideal for fishing, despite the uncertain weather; it turned out to be perfect for a fruitful fishing experience with some delightful catches.

Thanks for sharing this. I know exactly where the loch is, my late father took me there a lot of years ago and I always went back once a year. I've taken (and released) some superb fish from the water over the years but in the last 5-6 years the stock has dwindled and we are now seeing more and more litter and even discarded disposable BBQ's in the water. Was there last July for the last time (had a knee replaced) and only had two offers but no fish but still loved being there. Thank you for not disclosing its location !!!

It’s such an amazing place, it’s a shame some people have no respect for nature. I was with my dad the first couple of times I went up there too. We used to camp and fish the area every year when I was young.

Cracking loch. I grew up In Ullapool and have fished a lot of the hill lochs in the surrounding areas. I was up at this loch a couple of days ago and had about 12 trout 3 of which were about a pound in weight. Was perfect conditions for fishing. Caught most of them on a king fisher butcher aswell.

Been out twice with the fly rod this year so far, had some success but it’s been tough. Going to check out my local river this evening, but it might be a bit high. Good luck for the season mate.

Excellent atmospheric video. Loved your perseverance in typical Highland weather!
Perhaps slightly slower panning. Sod’s Law the take of the big one wasn’t recorded.
Best Wishes Jim Davies Tight Lines!

Thanks for the comment, I thought it was a bit too fast when I watched the footage too. I’ve tried to slow it down a bit for the next one, it should be up tomorrow.

Great video! Can I suggest you lower the music background sound level, particularly when you speak, as can be a tad overbearing? Otherwise great first production! Keep me coming 👍

Thanks for suggestion, I’ll try to balance the audio better in the next one. I’m going fishing later today so should hopefully have a new video up soon, if I catch anything.
