Alyx and Gordon were flying to the Borealis, their helicopter crashed, Alyx died and now Gordon lives with a fisherman
no its actually a deleted scene why this deleted scene because this map have really good graphics and valve make like another game or continue this game.
You Have Half Life 2 ? can you go halflife2 folder open maps and find d2_coast_02 and look is map empty and 0 KB - for this valve make half life 2 lost coast. normally d2_coast_02 is not in maps folder because is lost map.

This was the shortest Valve game I've ever played.
It's some sort of a tech demo or a cut level so I doubt it qualifies as a fully made game like Half Life 1-2 or even the episodes.

Is it just me, or that town getting bombarded looks like ravenholm? (Couldn't be possible, since gordon already has the shotgun, wich means he's already been trough ravenholm, wich means the town getting bombarded with headcrab shells is another refugee town that is sharing the same fate as ravenholm)
I think many thought of that, it's still pretty interesting.
And also i've realised ravenholm doesnt have an ocean near it..

Fríði Justesen It's both. This section started off as a section that was cut from the main game, but was revisited and redesigned to experiment with and showcase developing high end graphics such as HDR and the commentary nodes.
The "Half-Life: Uplink" demo was also a cut section of HL1 that was remade and rereleased as the game's demo.
