We spent over a week with the new Nexon EV to bring you this review. It's almost perfect but there are some teething issues to sort. Are our concerns regarding Tata's quality control justified?
Real world range while in light foot driving with ac on i am getting around 320kms with old gen ev max version where as with out AC around 340 is real world range with 4 passengers and boot full of luggage . Even it depends on terrain of road I was getting 385 range with out AC from Bangalore to pondy in single charge. speed was between 70 to 85 km/hr no cruise control used
I have a tesla tata is way much far behind i wish to see tata and mahindra going forward here are some of point better in tesla 1. Standard range 400km without Ac , with Ac 370 2. Safety features like sentry mode( recording all the time) emergency braking 3. Autopilot ( smart lane assist) 4. Space in front as well as back boot is huge 5. Matrix light I know there is a price difference but safety features and battery pack are two key features that our indian car makers are not keen to learn
Why on Earth would someone spend 15-16 lakhs on this vehicle to only drive it in the city? Even considering current petrol rates of Rs 110 a liter, if you were to buy a regular Nexon of 10 lakhs, a car which you could also drive on the highways, you would have 5 lakh to spend on 4500 liters of fuel. Considering an average mileage of 15 kmpl, you could drive 67,000 kms before you get your money back. If you want an EV for the city, go for the MG Comet or the tiago. Those vehicles make much more sense.
@@ChaitanyaDoshi-pl1sg It takes 1.5 hours to cover 30 kms in most cities. Travelling 100 kms would take 20 hours. But I get your point about EVs practicality in cities which is why other options make more sense like the cheaper tiago or MG comet, or the Grand Vitara/Hyryder hybrid. People are falling for the EV hype train too quickly. TATA as usual promises the heaven, Earth and the sky when they market their EVs, but reality is very different.
@@ChaitanyaDoshi-pl1sg Yes but like I said, if you just buy a regular Nexon, you would save 5 lakh which gets you 68000 kms of petrol (considering fuel cost of 110 per liter and mileage of 15 kmpl). That is almost 2 years worth of fuel that you can use to travel 100 km each day.
@@alileevil i had a Tigor EV base model, costed me 10 lakh because i bought it during the subsidy period, the biggest issue i faced was even making small trips during weekends it would be stressful to figure out where the charging stations are
False information I ve been using nexon ev for almost 3 months. It’s good and there in no problem with the range. But it took almost 60 days for battery stabilise and gave the range of almost 400 km without Ac and with AC it’s around 3.62. The efficiency of the car battery depends on driving and also charging of battery. Always charge when it’s around 25% on and charge till 80 or 90% thereby u get maximum efficiency
I would stay away from Tata EVs as they are not proven vehicles and there have been numerous recalls that require you to bring you car in for repairs. I have serious concerns where their batteries are made as they have a trade embargo with China and China makes 85% of all batteries in the world.
You missed some points, which I didn't like No cup holder!! and I need it everyday Mostly I'll have the charger in the middle console removed and use the space as a cup holder. Regen or some sort of feedback comes at times while braking, pushing the car ahead by 2 ft, dangerous while braking at times. The ventilated seats cooling is erratic, not linear. Otherwise brilliant car!
Problem with ev is that it takes more then 10 hrs to charge.. And in hilly area where generally house is located at hilly side and people park their vehicle in parking area or max at the corner of road, charging the cae is next to impossible. Only solution for EV is replacable battery then only EV will pick up the market.

how much range pls help us in details
350
Welcome to the Future.. The more quickly you adapt, the longer you survive.
Living in a western country, I can say that EVs are already failing here. There are more challenges recycling the discarded batteries.
I'm using this car about 3 month and l didn't face any issue which u face
Don't worry. U will text after sometime pertaining to cons😂😂😂
