Remember when the same people who fight against this was the same people who just a few years prior wanted strong, tall, dominant, powerful women who were proud of their appearance in manga/anime? Where did they go?
Let's be real here, fan service is pretty much a big part of anime. If you're a veteran weeb, you know this. Doesn't matter if the plot is mundane as a slice of life in an office, there gonna sneak in a shot or two of that busty secretary, or a panty shot. Some people like it, some don't, others are indifferent. Since anime has become more mainstream the past couple of years, we have all the newcomers seething over the content that has been part of the medium since it's inception. And this is why we gatekeep, these same folks ruined video games, comic books, cartoons, and I'll be damned if they come after anime.
This is why Anime should have remained a niche hobby. The more something becomes popular and mainstream, the more it will attract newbies who instead of trying to understand and get into the industry or leave if they don't like it, they'd rather censor and change to their standards or attack, ruin and destroy if they can't truly get their hands on it.
@MultiGamer600 This! I have been seeing more and more essay youtubers making videos on things like how fanservice is "problematic" and get half a million views that agree with them. It's not really their opinion that bothers me, it's that their views on anime/manga might have an actual influence on the future of the industry, as well as Japanese culture as a whole. It's depressing.
Yes and gatekeep HARD, with walls a mile high, these people need to be kept out, they’ve ruined everything in the west, we can’t let them take the last place we have left. And if you’re a dude and you don’t like fan service then there’s flat out something wrong, I just don’t understand you.
@@Mina27325Yea I’ve seen a few RUclips videos that just made me bang my head at the wall, making these videos about fandoms they have no business entering. If you don’t like fan service then go read/watch something else, this wasn’t made for you, it was made for me, keep your hands off my stuff. And what’s scaring me is that they actually might influence what happens in manga, just like you said. But unlike you their views do bother me, because they’re having opinions on genre that’s not made for them, they’re basically saying this content shouldn’t exist for anyone. I do not read BL manga, I wouldn’t be able to look at it, but I’m delighted that it’s made because some people DO love it, it’s not made for me, and that’s fine, other manga is made for me, and these horrible people are trying to interfere with it.
Literally. Oh and don't forget "I was a BIG fan of this and that until THIS stuff happened, even though it's to be expected in this IP and has already happened numerous times before, I just didn't know any of this existed until yesterday!" Typical tourism on display.
@@eliaspanayi3465finally lol. One Piece women are all boobs and no butts. Boobs are nice and all but fanservice needs to have variety in it. Butts need to be appreciated more.
It’s kinda funny because the types who usually call out the “over-sexualisation” of female characters tend to do that themselves; with male characters. But the usual excuse is “it’s not the same thing” which is funny because if you look up comment sections or twitter replies regarding, let’s say, Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen. You’ll see that that just ain’t true.
People seemed to have forgotten that Sanji willingly destroyed the Raid Suit that gave him Invisibility and allowed him to sneak into the Girls' bath like the Clear Clear Fruit he originally wanted because he rather give that up than become like his brothers when his Germa powers started to awaken and he worried about losing his emotions.
I wish the hobby went back to the way it was in 2017, some people talked about it but most normies weren't interested but then BNH and kimetsu happened then COVID then everything went to shit
Anime/manga was so much better back when it was fairly obscure and somewhat had a "taboo" foreign feel that made it so appealing. Now, nothing about it feels special anymore. It's quite sad.
it never ceases to make me laugh that people are still complaining that there is fanservice in anime especially when it's aimed at teenagers and young adults.
ong 🤦♀️ like i get that there are way too many cases where fan service can be problematic for a multitude of reasons; but there are also times when it’s done right and actually enjoyable. (and im literally female)
And seriously have any of them watched One Piece before? Ever since the timeskip Nami and Robin have pretty much been getting naked any chance they got. Weird that for 20+ years fanservice was ok but NOW it's suddenly an issue.
@@killingkuraI checked through the internet there is no complaint of the sexualization of buff dumb anime characters or the fan service of those everyone is just hypocrites
Flashpoint Paradox: Has Barry getting graphically electrocuted, lots of people killed onscreen, Wonder Woman beheading Mera and throwing her severed head at Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman fucking onscreen. It's a PG13. But had you seen Wonder Woman's nipple for half a second, it'd have been an instant R rating.
Lmao saw one user on Twitter absolutely PISSED that Otama was poking at Nami's boobs hoping one day to be as stacked as her. Saying the same thing any anti does. It's not like anyone is forced to watch xD can't handle any fan service
Man, I sure do miss the days when anime, and manga weren't as mainstream because the more popular something is the more people will try to please everybody including ones who were never fans in the first place, and that scene with Yamato being in the men's bathhouse, and tourists getting outraged, yet somehow ignored ALL the other countless fanservice throughout One Piece's lifespan, followed by sending the franchise's creator death threats over an officially confirmed cisgender Yamato (probably the reason why they're upset since they're still not over HER being nontrans) is a prime example of that. These assholes have ruined so many Western entertainment industries such as video games, movies, TV shows, comics, etc. with their obnoxiously progressive narratives, they better stay the fuck away from anime, and manga, and Japanese entertainment in general! More reasons why we need to gatekeep as much of these tourists out as possible. Of course they get furious over a piece of plastic, yet they have tons of Leon Kennedy being heavily sexualized in their Likes... I hate double standards so much. Well, that's excellent news to hear that the Lollipop Chainsaw remaster--and not remake--will be 100% uncensored unlike Biohazard/Resident Evil 4 remake! 👏 So we'll still get to see Juliet's beloved undies as she slices zombies with her chainsaw! 😉 That is very weird to make a successful video game specifically for adults only to make a sequel for everybody which is just not possible. You cannot make EVERYBODY happy. It's always best to just stick to a primary audience.
They enjoyed the fanservice when they gaslit themselves into believing Yamato was trans. Now that she isn't, they hate it. My guess they'll start hating Kikunojo and call "him" a creep for being in the bath with _"LITERALLY A CHILDREN!"_ Since without double standards, they'd have none.
It's so strange Kiku went over their radar when she's a pretty good character who ACTUALLY embodies what they want so bad without it being her personality.
Yamato has become such a drama magnet for One Piece. I'll probably forget about the drama surrounding her when I eventually get to her introduction (I'm at the train bit in Water 7) so that's a plus I guess
Because there's no drama for them to find with Kiku. Kiku is what they claim to want (a strong trans character that doesn't offend them) so she's to be ignored. Meanwhile, Bon Clay was a fucking GOAT but he looks like Jim Carrey in drag so they endlessly ragged on him.
@@MurasakiTsukimaru And now they love to ignore him, as well as Inazuma and Ivankov. To these people, those three characters simply don't exist. And for all intents and purposes, neither does Okiku, because she's A. not as hugely popular as Yamato and B. not one of the "My entire personality is that I'm trans" characters they love and want so much.
@@ElFreakinCid I hate that you're right. I've seen people claim a character in a webcomic I used to read isn't gay because it only came up twice (the only times romance ever came up) and otherwise has no bearing on his personality
Hopefully we can get more of this in One Piece Will it negatively affect its popularity? Maybe a little, but we seriously need to gatekeep these morons away from this series Oda created one of the greatest works of fiction ever produced, he deserves better than these... "people"
Just look at MUSHOKU lol It's incredibly hated on Twitter and RUclips but fans still keep it popular, One Piece could continue to be a success if it had really good fans
These are not "fans". These are "tourists". People who want the medium to pander to their wishes (demands). They do not respect Oda's creative authority. Fans, on the other hand, are there to receive, appreciate and/or criticize (in a "I would have liked..." or "I would have have preferred if..." manner). These tourists are just here because Yamato supposedly caters to them and demand more of that, depicted exactly how they want. Not gonna happen, One Piece sails on.
yeah... 99.999% of the time people with these kinda opinions are casual anime watchers or fake being hardcore fans. EDIT: Fun and weird example: I got an argument with an "one piece fan". We argued like 30 minutes about non imporant stuff about one piece. They had very strong opinions why MY opinions are wrong and their opinions are the best. They said was manga reader and has re-watched one piece at least 2 times. (Note: I have watched/read one piece since 2007). I tested them asking about basic questions. "who is Con D. Oriano", "who gave luffy his strawhat" etc... very basic questions. They got them right ofc. Then I asked them couple of trick questions: What is luffy's dream? - - - Yeah they got it wrong, but some actual one piece fans can answer that wrong easily. Who is Luffy's mom? - - - They got it right. Then I asked them a question that quick googling can give mixed answers: "Why Arlong killed Robin's mom?" (obvously he killed Nami's mom) - - - Their answer was... :D:D hear me out .... "Arlong killed Robin's mom, because Robin is an Demon Child, and Nami wanted to be a navigator in Arlong's crew" - I was like wtf.... :D:DD:D My curiosity peaked little bit and I started to scroll their twitter posts. Literally no posts/replies about one piece or ANY anime before 2023.... I know I was being super extra, but the whole interaction was so weird. So... I messaged them again later. Long story for short: I found out they was just getting into an anime earlier this year, has watched Demon slayer, absolutely hated AoT because "the story is dumb" :D and he only watched One piece from tik tok and youtube clips. So after that interaction... I aboslutely just started looking people's past twitter posts before interacting with them any way. What surprised me... EVERY OTHER PERSON I DO THIS IS AN FAKE FAN. :D:D:D Like wtf is wrong with people.
@JasperJHNS That was a good story lol. Gotta keep in mind for the fake fans and the causal watchers. Especially because of the appearance of gear 5 in the anime.
The fact I don't even read the manga and been seeing these panels for about a year now, just shows that these people that claim to like this series don't even know the actual content in it.
That's just how the twitter freaks are. They either claim to have been reading the series from the start which is most likely BS, or they say "I know nothing" and then try to act like they know everything about the series, the characters and how Oda thinks/writes his own creation. And then when they get called out for being wrong they lack the maturity and mental capacity to fully understand they were wrong either being too arrogant, too proud, or perhaps incredibly dense. I have seen many people comment "I don't care what the author says what I feel is more important" or "I never watched the series yet I know everything about this character from this one panel" showing just how full of themselves these kind really are. So yeah if people don't want to respect Oda, his work or anything he says in regards to his very own creation then those aren't fans, never will be fans, and want to control the entire series for whatever weird personal goal.
It's twitter we are talking about. These are the same people that call Tomboys trans and Femboys Trans. These are the same people that call Naoto from Persona 4 trans. Hell I'm surprised they didn't call Rev's Vtuber model trans yet.
Yeah, calling Tomboys and femboys trans is like discriminatory of both Gender non-conforming people and Trans people. They are the real bigots if the can't tell the difference between the two
what a strawman, nobody says that stuff why does it even matter if some guy on twitter has a head cannon? why does it bother you so much? also Rev's vtuber model is literally a toddler because he is a pedophile
The word "Femboy" always reminds me of someone tweeting how they wanted to date a "Femboy who's also a tomboy", which resulted in people saying "Isn't that just a dude?"
I just realized, these people are more concerned with a fictional adult character wearing a cheerleader outfit, than actual teenagers in actual cheerleader outfits, often very short and revealing, happening right their front door. Ah, who am I kidding, as if they open their front door...
They might deny and never speak for themselves so they would have an ounce of self awareness as edp445 along with him bragging "i can live without the internet" despite using the internet and reporting on jideon, especially youtube meatriding his expired crisp muffin self
Mmhm those r the ones u gotta watch out for cus they try to paint themselves as "heroes" but funny enough they actually had some shady shit going on their side
@@onepieceking1770 true, and i wish we didnt just act like were controlled opposition and put in our places, but we gotta "not fight fire with fire" instead lets be ghandi, we should ensue wrath with these moral busybodies who will only gaslight, play victim, ignore even the good points, will do the things we would be considered "no better than the subhuman scumbags" for like getting aggressive, violent, making it impossible for them to get rid of us slowly one by one, but they (moral busybody fraudsters) need to cost themselves along with attempting to get rid of people like us, we need to actually do things, we shall not demotivate ourselves by convincing eachother "we already won before the battle / war / debate / fight started", we need to motivate ourselves, we need to not back down to absurd gynocentric garbage, we need to push against the individuals that will PDF smear us, and be shown to be pdf files by their own logic, by reasonable, rational, logical standards in life even possibly.
Kiminozo is just another example of companies wanting to "kidify" all content. They want it to be rated "E" so they can have the maximum possible audience, when in reality... E-rated stuff is probably one of the LEAST sold stuff in most cases. It's usually marked by poor writing, shallow as heck and extremely simple themes, and no deeper meanings. It's written to be accessible to EVERYBODY, which means it's literally written for the lowest common denominator.
@@Saltedroastedcaramel It's not necessarily that E-rated content is worse, but it usually ends up that way. Let's use a simple analogy - Case 1: You offer a quality product to an audience of 1.000 people. 10% end up liking it. Now you have 100 fans - Case 2: You target an audience of 1.000.000 people. Your product only needs to be liked by 0,01% of the audience in order to have as many fans as case 1. Also, it's way simpler to cut production value and develop a less quality product, because you break even way faster
Don't know what specific visual novel but it's completely possible it didn't need H content to begin with. A lot of old VNs like F/SN or Kanon just had H scenes because it was the norm and expected. I don't think something like the UBW anime was made any worse by not having sex scenes in it. Maybe the creator of this VN didn't even want it there and now that he's remaking the game or whatever he's removing it. It's not necessarily a woke move.
I've only seen the anime for kiminozo, but i'm gonna go out on a limb and say removing the sex scenes won't make it any more appealing to a younger audience. The themes of the show are very dark and honestly made me uncomfortable in a very real way. I'm assuming they're trying to do a Little Busters thing where the version they want to see ported to consoles like the nintendo switch is the one without sex scenes.
I was watching that episode while travelling from work to home, and when I watched that scene, I knew immediately Twitter freaks and anime tourists would go ballistic about it. Edit to add that the scene when Sanji took off out of his own nosebleed was freaking hilarious.
Oda doesn't even look at any fan theories or anything. He feels he may want to change the story if he finds people have actually got it right. Which I think actually caused an indie horror game to have a rework of their own lore, because someone figured it out. Oda has a story he wants to write, and doesn't want to be influenced by others.
This proves once more that these tourist or some of these recent people who just got into Anime NEED to either accept the fan service or leave! This is so annoying on how many people complain over fan service regardless which Anime has it whether that’s from Shonen Anime or straight up Ecchi Anime which both of those are more catered towards the male audience. Why? Cus boys/men love boobs!
I hate the white-knight crusaders in general. It started about 15yrs ago on some websites with them being treated like idiots. Flash forward those 15yrs, they're regarded as "righteous crusaders of justice" that protect people. You say anything that doesn't align with their believes, they will literally troll through all your comments, find one that's a gray area within a website's ToS, and report each instance of it to get you banned.
No no no no. where will that people go if twitter goes away? We need twitter so all the shitty people go to 1 place so we can avoid it.@@AmbasingKam-dr6yu
People seem to forget why it's called fanservice. Because fans enjoy it. The majority of people that watch this stuff also tend to like big tiddy anime girls. What's better than eye candy waifu characters? Eye candy waifu characters with good stories and personalities to them. If only Granblue didn't hate their players...
Ah, yes. "Weird" is one of those favorite words of people who hate fanservice. The cognitive dissonance of Tourists and Antis is so mind-boggling. This is what happens when you're repressed all the time and/or are a moral busybody who can't and won't leave people alone to enjoy their hobbies. These people are so childish, it's disturbing.
To say that the fan service is weird in one piece is the most stupidest thing One piece as a whole is based on weirdness that's what makes it original and interesting.
@@alecrutz956 I agree that the p word is the one they use the most, but I see them use weird sometimes (that's why I wrote "one of those favorite words").
I don't wanna play the "they aren't a real fan" card but I can't find any other explanation, these people must've watched like 2 episodes of One Piece at most and with their eyes closed most likely lol. I mean, c'mon, would it really take 1079 for anyone to realize One Piece has fanservice?
This bath scene is very wholesome to me, we have the men and we have the women who enjoy bathing together after an intense battle. Japanese people bathe in groups in real life don't they? it's japanese culture to bathe with friends and family? This is also anime, what did they expect? Honestly a bath scene like this one haven't been done since Alabasta I believe. I don't undestand why people are so sensitive about it, it's harmless. It's normal One Piece fan service, not the first time either. Why so much drama around One Piece? There are many animes with fan service. They should just enjoy the scene or watch something else if it's not their cup of tea, I just don't like the disrespect to Oda. This is his story and he can do whatever he want with it. It's not written to please the sensitive west it's for the fans!
Fanservice?! In a Shounen anime/manga how shocking how could they??? Seriously how are these "fans" that surprised by any of this by most anime/manga fans in general this is incredibly tame.
That segway into the ad made me mad haha. Anyways, props to Oda for ignoring these "fans" and sticking to the manga. I'm personally not into One Piece but I can fully appreciate it when a prolific anime and its creator does not bow down to twitter mobs. And I do hope people who are looking at these "threat" tweets are also reporting them. Obviously they're empty threats but these terminally online children need to know just because they're anonymous doesn't mean they can say terrible things like this, especially over a freakin' anime.
i feel like all of the 90s moms suddenly invaded twitter with their "games/cartoons are only for children" mentality and want to force their own opinions over the already stablished system, really feels like they prefer to make a scene to try and censor something instead of actually paying attention and teaching their kids to not buy something that is not on their age range
It's situations like this that shows anime becoming more mainstream and accessible with western audiences, especially with gen Z, was a mistake and should've stayed more of a niche hobby
sadly those american mindset are pretty braindead when I remember when people just looking to watch something they enjoy without need to complain or hate things. If you dont a certain thing you just move on. Now we have those whiny westerners that grow up to preach hate and complain on the internet like its there life on the steak. Specialy those mental illness people that grow up with weird mindset rainbow colour.
To think people would be upset about Sanji being able to see a female character bathing in the bath house who’s completely fine with it since he calls herself Oden. Nah after the entirety of the Raid on Onigashima, I think he deserved some boob
Oh no, not a BATH HOUSE, the amount of FANSERVICE, i can´t... WAIT TO WATCH THAT EPISODE! Jokes aside though, seriously, "too much fanservice", what a first world problem to have.
See what I don’t understand is why are they so up in arms about it because if you think about it, even if they haven’t read the manga if they’ve watch the anime from start to now literally, that is not the only time that fan service like this has been put out for people to see. Because from my memory and correct me if I’m wrong the very first animated bit of fan-service we got, was all the way back in thriller bark with that shower scene with Nami. You tell me you just gone glide on past that and it’s fine but oh Yamato in the bathhouse. Oh now everybody’s up in arms about it. I’m just confused bro.😂😂
Easy. That's because none of these clowns have actually ever liked One Piece, they just say they're "fans" in an attempt to make their braindead screeching and whining sound slightly more credible. Typical tourist behavior.
This scene had it all. Big bazongas for the caveman-readers, and actually really progressive messaging as Yamato and Kiku went into the bathhouse they most closely identified with. With the exception of Sanji because booba activates neuron, nobody made any notice to it either. It was accepted implicitly.
This really tells you that alot of this people started One Piece in Wano for the trend, I mean this kind of fanservice is in all the previous arcs so they should be used to the fanservice by now if they started One Piece from ep 1.
@@LuznoLindoIf I had the patience and the self-loathing to create a twitter account, it'd be interesting to see how few of them even know who chopper is.
i feel like we will meet Yamato again but she will not identify as Oden anymore instead she will accept who she is and that shes the daughter of kaido....
@@xdragoonzero0 People on twitter and does that are gender obsess woudnt care, look how many send oda death threats just cause he did a color page with yamato and other one piece girls, they went nuts.
gonna go out on a limb and assume the lions share of people offended by these scenes are the ones who just joined the fandom either in anticipation of the live action or once they watched it.
I'm gonna go further and say that a good amount of them haven't watched a single episode or read a single chapter. They just saw a "trans" character on a screenshot on their Twitter feed and went full SJW mode.
Should change the title to Enraged Fake "Fans" because even I mistook the title and i usually pick up on "sarcasm" but my tired butt thought this was a bash on Oda with that thumbnail.
With ReZero season 3 coming I am TERRIFIED about how twitter is going to react to the Subaru Beako relationship now and especially the "recharging" If you know you know if you don't just wait it'll be fun
If I'm not mistaken the trailer for season 3 was getting s*** on a lot and try to get canceled because some of the stuff that was featured in it, plus there's a debate on if that season will get a lot of censorship. To me if it's okay to put stuff like that in the light novels and the manga I don't know why the anime version of it would have to be censored but that's just me.
Honestly, an eroge for all audiences is an oxymoron. They could do the same as with the Nekopara series, which have 18+ content that is sold separately. That way, they can bring a SFW experience for general audiences and the NSFW experience for those who want it. But they won't do it, because Twitter freaks will seethe at the mere existence of a 18+ patch, when thet could just ignore it.
Try looking at the wiki for Yamato sometime, "she's referred to as a woman out of series including in a databook that mentioned a legit trans character in a different way to Yamato, but we'll ignore that and anything in the story that conflicts because the series official translation said she was a man a couple of times.
I watched this episode and couldn't find the "fan service" that would make people mald. It was just like all other anime. I loved Sanji's reaction too like always
I'm still in pre-timeskip so I dunno yet but I'm still finding Sanji's antics funny. Maybe I have a high pervert character tolerance or he just gets worse later. XD
If anything just to upset the twitter mob, we need more anime like Mahoromatic and Pastel Ink with loli fanservice, just to set twitter into a raging fit. I wish we could return to those days. All so I can see the collective meltdown of people over a drawing of an animated character.
Oh god Pastel Ink would send these people over the edge. Ironically they would probably be watching Cuties in the background while writing their twitter rant.
On the subject of Yamato, she was recently added to Pirate Warriors 4 through some DLC and the Steam page incorrectly refers to her by male pronouns. Because of course it does. Honestly, that might have been an interesting rabbit hole to go down for a video if there was some good Twitter brainrot to come from it. Like, straight up, the Steam page when mentioning Yamato wrongly refers to her as being male and like... these people really do not care about accurately translating these things.
So the anime is translated wrong? In my opinion Yamato is probably female HOWEVER, in the manga, correct me if I am wrong but Yamato stated that he does not mind being called She but he would He but I could be wrong so I think we should call Yamato he/him because of respect She is HIM
@@Bonfire18 Tldr, in Japan, Yamato uses gender neutral pronouns, which translators changed to he/him, and so heavily identifies as Oden as to declare herself to be Momonosuke's father to the boy's face (fun fact: She's a month younger than Momonosuke).
@@Bonfire18 hers the thing, Yamato in Japanese doesn’t use male pronouns, she uses gender neutral pronouns, the thing is she isn’t doing because she views herself as non-binary she does it (and copies her mannerism) around another character named Oden. Why does she do this? Because her father HATES oden. And Yamato HATES her father (father is a real bastard who consistently beat and tormented her) The thing is when English localizers got the hands on translating the material they injected their own politics around LGBT community and made Yamato identify as male. Some would argue her use of the pronoun Boku she uses is masculine but it’s about being rough and impolite, something that would be considered socially improper for a women to use, thing is their have been offical artwork released and it’s a collection of the women of one piece and Yamato is part of it
Not to mention the character in question is pathetic in certain ways: A gender-confused woman who wants to be like Oden so badly that she's essentially dedicated her life to living in his shadow.
Even the eroge versions of the Venus Blood International/remake games had certain sprites and CGs locked into all ages mode because the devs don't want to work on what would be de facto 2 games, rather than just adding a toggle (apparently, that toggle can't control everything).
Loses collective crap over fan service in manga and anime....tell me you're a tourist/anti that needs to be gatekept out of the fandom without telling me you're a tourist/anti that needs to be gatekept out of the out of the fandom.
(10:04) Anyone else remember that thing that happens, in Lolipop Chainsaw, if you move the camera a little too often under Juliet's skirt? I dunno why anyone would remove that...
When did bathing became weird...don't they like hot baths... they should try it, it makes you more relaxed, it would do them good I mean the only weird thing would be Yamato entering men's bath, though her dedication to playing role of Oden and probably environment where she grew up kind of explains it
That people are not fans of the show, they are tourists who draw graffiti on monuments, throw trash on the beaches and go straight to the nearest McDonald's. They just don't know what happens if the author disappear(pass away), maybe that what they want, for a Anime/Manga series wither and be forgotten, like a lot of Marvel and DC series. That is sad
This was the year I finally committed myself to watching the whole anime. All I can say is, I'm baffled that idiots wanna act like they watch the whole thing, especially with the episode where Sanji lands on All-Transvestite Island. Gave me a sensible chuckle.
All the male crew members at the time peeped on Nami and Vivi in the bath back in Alabasta, -including Vivi's own father-, and Thriller Bark had Nami basically nude and being attacked by an invisible perv while in the shower, and they're only talking about THIS bath scene? Yeah, seems sus
i would argue whatever that happened in thriller bark are more wild than wano, nami legit covered with hope and dreams. if fans service pushed them away from One Piece it should happen way before 1k episodes
every time someone claims to hate something they are "supposedly their favorite of all time" generally have 0 idea what they are talking about. They just find something they have 0 connection with and start hating it while claiming they love it.
Lollipop Chainsaw is amazing hope they don't censor it, idc if it's a Remaster instead honestly less likely it gets messed up. Also a remake is made from scratch basically, the ground up, it's like if you tore a building down, kept the plans for it and made the same building adding improvements to the original plans where you feel necessary
It's crazy that some people's personalities will completely change when they see fanservice. Do they not take showers? Do they know people are naked when they take baths?
I don't watch one piece, and when my friend showed me this scene I was like wdh, and I cried laughing at sanji's nose bleed, also now I'm going to start watching one piece

And what’s scaring me is that they actually might influence what happens in manga, just like you said.

I do not read BL manga, I wouldn’t be able to look at it, but I’m delighted that it’s made because some people DO love it, it’s not made for me, and that’s fine, other manga is made for me, and these horrible people are trying to interfere with it.

@@Bonfire18 bro, that’s a common thing in anime.

Why are they surprised by this, did they not watch the first ~1k episodes? Could it be, they aren’t actually fans?
yeah... 99.999% of the time people with these kinda opinions are casual anime watchers or fake being hardcore fans.
EDIT:
Fun and weird example:
I got an argument with an "one piece fan".
:D:DD:D
My curiosity peaked little bit and I started to scroll their twitter posts.
:D:D:D Like wtf is wrong with people.

those people complaining probably never watched the anime, they just see stuff online and post about it
The fact I don't even read the manga and been seeing these panels for about a year now, just shows that these people that claim to like this series don't even know the actual content in it.
Fan service is quintessential anime/manga. Anyone who has that big of an adverse reaction to this really aren’t fans and don’t understand anime/manga.

That honestly makes me sad that E-rated content is seen as the lesser.
@@Saltedroastedcaramel It's not necessarily that E-rated content is worse, but it usually ends up that way. Let's use a simple analogy
- Case 1: You offer a quality product to an audience of 1.000 people. 10% end up liking it. Now you have 100 fans
- Case 2: You target an audience of 1.000.000 people.
All ages is just a blanket term to say no porn scenes. Kiminozo has had an all ages version on the PS2 already.

These people would've died from an aneurysm had they watched anime during the 90s and 2000s.
The whole Yamato controversy since her appearance is the exact reason why im glad she stayed in Wano.
Dang it I wish she joined the crew lol just for Sanji to get more nosebleeds
Easily best girl since the timeskip but you've got a point there
There's the possibility that had she joined that this shit would've be dispelled even harder. Like she could've even dropped the Oden thing.
i feel like we will meet Yamato again but she will not identify as Oden anymore instead she will accept who she is and that shes the daughter of kaido....
The Hasan/2020 tourists
I'm gonna go further and say that a good amount of them haven't watched a single episode or read a single chapter. They just saw a "trans" character on a screenshot on their Twitter feed and went full SJW mode.
"Some portions of the One Piece fandom"
translation: new people and non-fans from the west
That sponsor transition (the "eating good" thing I mean) was great. 😂🔥💯
Should change the title to Enraged Fake "Fans" because even I mistook the title and i usually pick up on "sarcasm" but my tired butt thought this was a bash on Oda with that thumbnail.
With ReZero season 3 coming I am TERRIFIED about how twitter is going to react to the Subaru Beako relationship now and especially the "recharging"
If you know you know if you don't just wait it'll be fun
I dropped that sh1t in season 1 when he turned down rem after that confession lmao
@@minuteworld7027Fair,some fans cope that she still has a chance in being the second wife but this has no real chance of happening
Y'all will get a bit of the mushoku treatment lol
Don't feel like waiting
Tell me
Or I turn off your entire nervous system
If I'm not mistaken the trailer for season 3 was getting s*** on a lot and try to get canceled because some of the stuff that was featured in it, plus there's a debate on if that season will get a lot of censorship. To me if it's okay to put stuff like that in the light novels and the manga I don't know why the anime version of it would have to be censored but that's just me.
I have never once seen anyone on Twitter who complains about mature content not have posts or likes that show off their degeneracy.
I always wondered if that was ever done!
Hopefully it is regular, CAREFULLY DONE Thing in Japan...
I sometimes wonder if Shimoneta may have predicted the future.
oh no
Oh it definitely did
If Sanji has a reaction, you know it's a chick. The coping is monumental.
Sadly, that ship sailed a while ago, loli got phased out of anime outside of a few isekai and fantasy series before 2020.
Oh god Pastel Ink would send these people over the edge. Ironically they would probably be watching Cuties in the background while writing their twitter rant.
@@Umashido Pastel Ink? Is that the name of the anime?
EDIT: nvm, it's Moetan lol
On the subject of Yamato, she was recently added to Pirate Warriors 4 through some DLC and the Steam page incorrectly refers to her by male pronouns.
Because of course it does. Honestly, that might have been an interesting rabbit hole to go down for a video if there was some good Twitter brainrot to come from it.
Like, straight up, the Steam page when mentioning Yamato wrongly refers to her as being male and like... these people really do not care about accurately translating these things.
So the anime is translated wrong? In my opinion Yamato is probably female HOWEVER, in the manga, correct me if I am wrong but Yamato stated that he does not mind being called She but he would He but I could be wrong so I think we should call Yamato he/him because of respect She is HIM
Decided by the English translator. They can't even spell Jinbe correctly.
Clearly, they leaned too hard on the “boy” part of tomboy.
And Yamato HATES her father (father is a real bastard who consistently beat and tormented her)
The thing is when English localizers got the hands on translating the material they injected their own politics around LGBT community and made Yamato identify as male. Some would argue her use of the pronoun Boku she uses is masculine but it’s about being rough and impolite, something that would be considered socially improper for a women to use, thing is their have been offical artwork released and it’s a collection of the women of one piece and Yamato is part of it
Service for fans and they don’t like it? Hmmm seems like they aren’t fans
>Fans of a manga adaptation that's known for tons of fanservice
>Fans get mad and threaten the author for showing fanservice
Love how everyone freaks out about a character that barely has any development that was intoduced in the current arc 😂
Not to mention the character in question is pathetic in certain ways: A gender-confused woman who wants to be like Oden so badly that she's essentially dedicated her life to living in his shadow.
@@LuznoLindo big true
YOOOO!!! AN ASHLEY GRAHAM FIGURE?!!! This is why I love you, Rev. You bring so much stuff into my radar. 😁
Even the eroge versions of the Venus Blood International/remake games had certain sprites and CGs locked into all ages mode because the devs don't want to work on what would be de facto 2 games, rather than just adding a toggle (apparently, that toggle can't control everything).
Ngl Rev, that ad transition was smooth
It's like when Fate "fans" find out about Prisma Illya, I just grab the popcorn and cackle. The almighty gatekeeper: Chloe. Praise be her name.
Proof that Yamato is best girl to cause this much coping and seething.😂
Loses collective crap over fan service in manga and anime....tell me you're a tourist/anti that needs to be gatekept out of the fandom without telling me you're a tourist/anti that needs to be gatekept out of the out of the fandom.
(10:04) Anyone else remember that thing that happens, in Lolipop Chainsaw, if you move the camera a little too often under Juliet's skirt? I dunno why anyone would remove that...
The wicked flee when the righteous stand their ground...
When did bathing became weird...don't they like hot baths... they should try it, it makes you more relaxed, it would do them good
I mean the only weird thing would be Yamato entering men's bath, though her dedication to playing role of Oden and probably environment where she grew up kind of explains it
That sanji comment isn't even his fault, since yamato went into the men's bath
Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.
i would argue whatever that happened in thriller bark are more wild than wano, nami legit covered with hope and dreams. if fans service pushed them away from One Piece it should happen way before 1k episodes
Plus, there Nami was assaulted. Much worse than a bath.
Nico Robin was licked.
every time someone claims to hate something they are "supposedly their favorite of all time" generally have 0 idea what they are talking about. They just find something they have 0 connection with and start hating it while claiming they love it.
I knew the moment that scene would be adapted twitter would throw a tantrum like a child
No, they don't take showers, or leave the house, or log off twitter.
Could you imagine the outrage if alabasta bath scene was released today? LOL
I don't watch one piece, and when my friend showed me this scene I was like wdh, and I cried laughing at sanji's nose bleed, also now I'm going to start watching one piece
Dude, that transition into the sponsorship 😭
Sad and disheartening news! The Prime Minister of Japan wants to consume Blackrock... **sigh**
