Well, first off "Einsamkeit" is a noun and "allein sein" is an adjective. So im gonna explain you that with the adjective form of "Einsamkeit" which is "einsam". If someone is "einsam" that means this person is (almost) constantly alone and thus have a bad feeling resulting out of this loneliness. If someone is "alleine" that means he is physically alone at a certain moment. I come from Germany so you can believe me that im right.

Looks like I found a left-handed study buddy! Thank you Elysse.
4:18 I actually do not know anyone who says they love grammar...
I've grown to love grammar, studying by myself at least, because I have enough time to make a pretty spread and go slow and have fun... I love it :D But doing grammar at school still is really stressful :/
I love grammar but only the latin and german
@@jannik2869 School just knows the exact methods to make everything feel like a chore and it doesnt matter how good ur school is as well
Gotta admit that I have learned the word verschwinden only due to the hand - visualization you did while saying it
Thanks u, learning German is one of the things I ever wanted to learn, but I didn't do because y didn't how to start, now I can start this new project uwu
Currently working through "German Grammar Drills" based on your recommendation.

YOUR GERMAN IS SO GOOD LITERALLY YOU LIKE SPEAK BETTER THAN ME AND ITS MY MOUTHER TOUNGE HELP
I love your videos, because I can listen both English and German:) It’s pretty useful, thanks👍🏻
I also have one good tip, it’s listening children podcasts and fairy tales:) It works for me very well, the texts are easy to understand and when you hear different voices/accents/tones, it’s more interesting.
Watching this almost three and a half years after it's uploaded and I have still found some solid advice and resources for learning German! Thank you so much Elysse for the great job that you are doing! All the best
After learning English I decided to study Geman. But it's pretty hard to repeat both of them. So, sometimes I just give up on German, because I don't know it as well as English. Anyway, thank you for a good video!
The whiteboard idea is genious honestly!
Vielen Dank. This video really helps me to learn German well
Fanny Theodora fantastisch!
I started learning German a week or 2 ago because I fell in love with German band AnnenMayKantereit. Listening to their songs and reading the lyrics (over and over and over and over again lmfao) is helping me so much I feel. I never would have thought to use music otherwise!
I recommend Ayliva her voice is heaven. And her songs are so good
Could u please do one of this for French? 😭😍
I wanna thank you for this tips , coffee break German helps me a lot in this journey and you are so beautiful btw , love from Egypt ❤️
i’m glad it works for you!! i’ve since moved on to a different, higher-level podcast but it’s so nice to see my tips in this video still help people ^__^
You need to try malay....its super easy i bet u can learn it in 1 week
Hahahah maybe as a fun challenge someday!
Yess word reference is amazing!! It also has conjugation along with translations
This was an amazing video, thank you for sharing!! I’ve been studying Deutsch on my own for about a year now, Duolingo only and it’s definitely not the best. I’m only A2/B1ish and have been looking for Deutsch active workbooks so thank you!
You helped me a lot! thanksss, i didn't know how to put everything together but now i do
"Everybody loves grammar"
Whaat? 😅 I think it's the other way around. Probably you are one of the few lucky people who gets to enjoy the most tedious part about language learning.
Btw, thanks for your tips 😋
Idk man it's pretty nifty to sit down and study
@@Matheus_Braz Of course, but not grammar 🙂
I'm rather sure she was being ironic, mate
Grammar is a lot like cardio…you either love it or you hate it but you can never get away from it😂
coffee break german its really great, I really recommend it
Lol so I watched this video when I first began learning German and understood nothing in that intro now I understand it all
Saaame
These videos are really helpful, I watch them with my friends on Voicely whenever we practice German. We all agree that we learned more from RUclips videos than from the German "lessons" we have at school
awww, what the heck 🥺 i’m glad that my videos can be a little group bonding activity for y’all. if you ever have any questions you can reach out on Insta or by my email elyssespeaks@gmail!

Ich finde dein Deutsch klingt super, weiter so!
I normally lose attention by the first minute of videos, very few things keep my attention but you were so simple and genuine that i just found myself listening and absorbing everything you said. amazing video :)
5:30
It did. In 2006 Hoch German had a spelling reform. So all the spellings in the book now are outdated and incorrect.
Hi, something funny , the english translation in your video says "Maybe you idiot" @8:50 when you talk about the podcast in German 🤣🤣
= drugs
Hi Elyse! Ich bin für sechs Monaten deutsch lernen and I found your channel right at the beginning of my journey! Du bist so hilfreich und Sinn ich habe keine Deutschschulklassen es war im beginnen sehr schwierig für mich. I need to check out your new videos but I’d love to see how you study language in your daily life today.
Thanks again for all your tips! German Grammar Drills, Anki and italki have been incredible additions to my study routine. Keep up the great work :)
"What's the difference between "Einsamkeit" and "Alleinsein". Simple things like that." (7:48) Also, als simple Frage würde ich das nicht bezeichnen :D It could get quite philosophical or psychological there. But I really liked the video! Viel Erfolg! :)
hey I just wanted to thank you for recommending coffee break german I like it a lot
I'm so glad! And hey, they have an advanced version on Spotify too once you reach that level ;)
danke schön!!! ich bin Französisch und ich habe Deutsch gelernt für etwa 8 Jahren aber ist mein Deutsch nur sehr schlecht! I’ve been trying to work on it for 1 year now and I’ve kinda got better but I still need to learn a lot. I love this language so much unlike many people!

Wow, i just found your channel and you give me so much hope! I love how down to earth you are too :) Wish we could just hang and learn together haha! Thank you so so much for all of your tips! The internet is overwhelming as i learn German! This seems much more helpful! xoxo
Eu não sei como mas eu consigo entender o seu inglês perfeitamente mesmo sendo rápido
your german is better than my english and i had lived in the usa for 5 years!😂🥰💕
Thanks Elysse ...this helps me alot I was really waiting for this .
True, my friend
"How to actually study a language video" Elysse: Don't use Duolingo
This video Elysse: I do Duolingo
Honestly, She's right. Duolingo doesn't help you learn the language effeciently, but it's good for practice. Especially now that they've introduced Duolingo Stories. That's interesting to keep you motivated and assessing the basic knowledge of german language.
i stopped using german properly like 15 years back, when i was 15. and now trying to get back into it is... challenging 🙏
Hi! Do you have any tips on developing the correct accent? I find this helps me in learning languages (vocab especially). I've had a hard time in how I should pronounce my words, and since I've studied French/Danish I'm finding it even harder to make a distinction between my Danish/German speaking inflections, accents, pronunciation, etc
Grammar is the only exciting thing about learning German! Seriously.. I go to german courses, I’m finishing A1 soon but I already went through the whole grammar on my own (I aced the irregular Partizip II test we had recently in class). I do struggle with vocab and speaking.
Hey Elysse! This is the first video that I've come across of yours and I loved it.
Just a suggestion but could you write down the resources /suggestions you gave for singers, german translators, grammar books etc
I found Shirin & Namika but couldn't find basal is it? And closed captions is a pain in the ass lol
Great video btw and thank you coz I've got new resources to study from. Definitely will be helpful for my B1 & B2 exams
