💌 about me: my name is Elysse, I'm 24 years old from the southern U.S. I've been learning languages for about 8 years, and I speak English (native), Spanish (C2), German (B2/C1), French (C1), Portuguese (B2), American Sign Language (advanced), and Turkish (A2). I'm interested in learning Hebrew, Chinese, Georgian, and maybe Náhuatl as well :)

Love your German videos! Thanks, Elysse! ❤✨️
thank u always for watching!!
Do some german vlogs. ✌
I've never been overly interested but after years of working with and hanging out with Germans and speaking some languages with enough cross over, I feel bad when someone speaks to me in German, I understand... but can't formulate a response and thus we fall into English.
I've had enough xd
This video was enough to tip the scales! Thanks for the tips and good studies to you
I really liked the Lingoda grammar lessons. They usually have a theme, so its not /just/ grammar, you get direkt corrections, and you don't have to do it alone. Don't get me wrong, I still cried during my lessons, but my teachers were very supportive :). I'm also dedicating myself to German paperwork right now lol
Omg why did you end up crying??
@@ashi4274 because grammar is difficult😭
Wie hast du eine Wohnung in Berlin gefunden? 🤯 und wie lange bleibst du hier? 🤗
Fr, it's a more difficult task than learning German 😂
Hallo. Ich bin glaube 😅
Mejor en español, porque no he memorizado frases en alemán. 😅
fırst

holy shit dein Deutsch ist krass gut, die ersten paar Sekunden dachte ich du bist eigentlich Muttersprachlerin, so gut ist deine Aussprache (-greetings from someone born and raised in Germany who can't even pronounce shit as good as you can😂)
for English speakers: her german is basically perfect, wouldn't have known she isn't a native if I only heard her talk a few sentences so as a German, I assume her tips are gold :)
Just get enough input and you’ll be fine. You don’t need to study grammar at all.
I'm currently reading The Power Of Habits in Spanish. C2 level difficulty.
The declension charts definitely have a role to play; I used to use them as a quick reference when I couldn’t remember something, but I was never sitting there trying to memorize it
You so effortlessly ❤
Thank you for the tips.
Viel glück!
These tips are so valuable for German learners! Well done! 🇩🇪🤩💪💪💪
I'm curious to know how many languages you speak 😅
I‘m German and wow you speak without an accent your awesome. ❤❤
Ich bin Deutscher und selbst ich kann Schweizerdeutsch nicht verstehen.
A good tip for learning German: don’t put so much value on the level system. What really matters is if you are affectively communicating with people and being understood 😊
Ja aber die Jobs suchen leute die das niveau bemerkt hat
@@lazargajicic9115 stimmt aber heutzutage man kann einfach deutsch bei dem Vorstellungsgespräch sprechen und dann, wenn es reicht gibt’s kein Bedürfnis dafür
@@Ollie-Sprache ja, aber du musst zuerst dein lebenslauf verschicken und eine Antwort bekommen

Have you been faithfully using the capital ẞ, spreading its joy among the fair people of this star cluster?
Gracias por el video!! Vengo aprendiendo alemán hace mas de un año y aún no me siento cómoda hablando. Felicidades por la mudanza!! Estaría genial si querés mostrar más de cómo será tu vida ahí! Yo tengo pensado mudarme allá el próximo año. Recomendas alguna parte de Alemania en específico?
in the week that i decided to start learning german, my favorite youtube creator posted a video about it! the universe is giving me a sign!
On the importance of learning gender/plural with nouns - if you start out doing it properly, you'll get better at guessing/intuiting it later on down the line! Same goes for cases and prepositions. There are no hard and fast "rules", but there sure are "vibes"
No persian update 😢
Oh to be able to just up and move countries 😭 I need to make this happen before I get old
can i just say i love your personality! you are so much fun to watch, i have to subscribe
Ich finde grammatik einfach, außerdem nebensätze. Ich bin mit meiner muttersprache so angenehm(ähnlich mit english) dass ich nich verstehen kann. Wie benutzt man die nebensätze? Wie baue ich sie in meinem kopf? Ugh...
deutsch mit benjamin, ehrenmann!
persian update

Halloo Elysse 😊
Hi
If you go to Switzerland you are .... ! You literally have to learn 2 languages! 1. high/standard german and 2. swiss german/schwyzerdüttsch . It's not really a different language but the sound is so far away... that you basically have to learn everything twice! LOL And as a bonus... swiss german sounds horrible and gross!
Wrong. Swiss German speakers will speak Standard German with you. (At least 99.9% of the time). You do not need to speak Swiss German, but understanding it will help to understand what is going on around you. I lived there and never had an issue using Standard German. Swiss people who speak one of the other languages (French, Italian, Romansh) as their first language learn Standard German in school. Some do understand one or more of the Swiss German dialects (there are several)., however. As to how Swiss German sounds, that’s personal taste. I actually like it.
Three languages, they all speak English too 😜
@@Ollie-Sprache Four languages. German, French, Italian and Romansh.
