    Thank you Laura. I am currently one of your students and doing a paid lesson, so this is timely and well presented.
    I think that Templates and set guides are something I need at this moment and at the stage I am at.
    Time constraints also mean that I like to jump in at every opportunity and also hungry for knowledge and something new to learn.
    This is all exciting stuff and as I live on an island in the middle of the South Pacific I do not think we have too many German speaking people on island so getting my work checked would be difficult so any links to suggested sites and anyone who wishes to assist would be grateful.
    See you in the class room and highly recommend that anyone learning jump in and look at the lessons.

    Nice video. As complex as the German language is, it would be interesting to know what percentage of native speakers have a through mastery of it.
    As a native English speaker of the United States, it's amazing how many grammatical mistakes I see when reading news articles.

    • @GermanwithLaura
      @GermanwithLaura  Год назад +4

      That would be an interesting statistic to know, I agree. There probably are a good percentage of Germans that also do not know their grammar well.

      That's true. I'm German and in 5th grade, people kept saying "ich fande es....so und so" when talking about someone's story or report we discussed. Our teacher was really annoyed and kept saying there's no such word as "fande". 😂 Yet, I think most people speak grammatically correctly, with very few exceptions, without thinking about it. As for newspapers articles, many journalist have studied Germanistik at university, but I'm sure it happens occasionally 😉. Nobody is perfectly...

    Thanks Laura this is quite an inspiring video for me. I have expanded a little on your idea and set it up in Excel. It is still work in progress, but working across in landscape mode, I have added the Te Ka Mo Lo columns and final verb slots. My grammar is reasonable good, but my vocabulary is relatively poor as I don't get the opportunity to communicate with German speakers. Using your suggested thematic approach, I feel this approach will help me greatly. I have linked my spreadsheet to my grammar notes and word lists, so I don't have far to look for a reference.
