Michael Dennis Browne über dieses Video:
„I am very moved to see and listen to this video; the piece is beautifully sung, beautifully filmed.
It is extraordinary to me that, through music, words of mine are part of the lives of young people such as young singers. It feels like a privilege , and it greatly enhances my sense of the mystery and the power of being alive.
Thank you so much.“

Tell me, where is the road
I can call my own,
That I left, that I lost
so long ago?
All these years I have wandered,
Oh when will I know
There‘s a way, there‘s a road
That will lead me home?
After wind, after rain,
When the dark is done,
As I wake from a dream
In the gold of day,
Through the air there‘s a calling
From far away,
There‘s a voice I can hear
That will lead me home.
Rise up, follow me,
Come away, is the call,
With the love in your heart
As the only song;
There is no such beauty
As where you belong;
Rise up, follow me,
I will lead you home
Okay okay, this is what I've been looking for, The Road Home by a good choir, but more importantly VERY SLOW, I love it, thanks for taking such a nice elegant tempo. Hooray, and Bravo, kids...!!!
Note the singers are not arranged by section. They are capable and confident in holding their own. Bravo
Oh yes, very impressive.
Hauntingly beautiful ❤ the way Christien trails off when she says “heart”, just a beautiful interpretation.
Absolutely stunning. Their voices are heaven itself.
So incomparably beautiful. Stephen, stolen from us so young…he knew the voices of angels.
An amazing version! The degree of grace and technical precision of the group can be proven by how each syllable is approached: soft, crescendoing easy-onsets! I know choral work fairly well, and I've never seen such a focus on softly and thus beautifully building each syllable. Wonderful, just wonderful!
And now that I'm listeninh more: each phrase has a lovely peak and decrescendo!
I've performed many pieces of a capella music over the years in various groups wherever I've lived. I have to say this song by Stephen Paulus is perhaps one of the finest modern examples of madrigal music and so well done by this group. This song is so haunting but at the same time, so hopeful that the road will lead me home. Simply well done.
Sehr, sehr schön. ❤
This song left tears in my eyes❤❤

The perfect piece for young voices. One does discern that English is not their first language however. Lovely sound.
At which part do you recognize it?
