Goats are ADORABLE, but Kirsty is correct! If you want to keep your plants, don't get them. PS: Nick's parents wearing paper bags made me BURST out laughing!!
I say stick with the sheep. Where are they anyway and why haven't there been lamb's from your flock?? My experience with goats us they go where they want and they can climb and jump almost any fence. Just my opinion.
If there’s a way to fence the goats inside the lake area that would be perfect. If you can’t do that then Kristy is correct, it’s either goats or the garden. The chandeliers are beautiful. Welcome back Marie, Hanni and Maria 😍😘
Yes, as a long time goat farmer- both diary and angora- DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so beautiful BUT you need a NEW sturdy fence at least 6.5 ft high and EVERYONE must, under threat of death, MUST SHUT GATES! Apart from that, they are lovely and we have them for weed control- they love blackberries and anything you want to grow.
We recently got baby goats. They are mini Nubian and Nigerian dwarf so they will stay really small. They have their permanent fenced in area and we also have a portable electric fence that is huge. We can move it from one place to another so they can clear different areas. We have lots of wooded areas that we want cleared under the trees.
Baby goats are adorable but I am also a landscape professional, so I vote with Kirstie. Unless you build an escape proof enclosure all of those little plants you so lovingly installed will be gone. Kirstie rocks, by the way.

Wow - Anders is a prince to bring such gorgeous chandeliers to the Chateau!! Happy Birthday Anders. ** The Larkin family DRIVING with paper bags on their heads had me howling with laughter. ** Incredibly impressed with Hanni's parkour skills and lightning fast reflexes! It would have been like the finish line at a Grand Prix if it had hit the floor! ** Amaury NEVER eating vegetables makes me laugh so much. ** Love to see all the favourite friends of Lalande back - Marie, Maria, Hanni, Nic...** Speaking of new lovely friends of LaLande, we want to keep Kirstie - so as cute as the goats are, I side with her on NO GOATS. Imagine if they ever got into the the walled garden, or the greenhouse?! Ask Davy if he is team goat. Nuff said! Another lovely vlog... Thank you Stephanie!
I agree Christine! those chandeliers are amazing..what an incredible gift to recieve!! I love anything with hanging crystals..I might have to share my candleholders with crystals in one of my channel videos! Who doesnt love a little twinkle and romance?
So wonderful to see so many of the “old crew” back at LaLande, Marie, Maria and Hanny are a welcome sight. Hanny always lightens the mood with her antics. Treeguy Nick is such a sweetheart. I love that he didn’t want to disturb the bird’s nest. The chandeliers are an amazing addition. It is a testament to you that people want to gift you such beautiful things to add to the chateau. I love that it’s such an amalgamation of so many people’s contributions. ❤️
Your chandelier man was so excellent. Really knows his business. I think the dark edges of the lampshade will look great when all is complete. Just lovely.
Goats! 🐐🐐Listen to the lady who has the experience to save your new gardens - let alone the kitchen garden. They eat anything at all just for the hell of it. Listen to Kirsty or live to regret it! 🥴
NO to goats! If they get out of their designated area, your garden will be their private buffet. Unless you have loads of underbrush to clear, I'm with Kirsty I also remembered why I lost my love of chandeliers lol. Cleaning fell to me
The two chandeliers brought by Anders are stunning, each breathtaking. What a perfect addition that adds another level of regal elegance to the rooms of Lalande.
I agree Michael, they are stunning! I make videos of treasure hunting at antique shops and estates and I just love sharing anything with dangling crystals!!!!💜
No, to the goats because Kirsty has enough to do maintaining the garden. Also, even if they are fenced off, invarably someone will leave the gate open and the goats will escape and decimate le jardin anglais.
The chandeliers are simply stunning. don’t know why but I personally think the chandeliers look better without the shade’s - maybe because they look more like candles that way and the light gets more reflected in the glass
I agree. I have to say I thought the second lot of lampshades were awful with that black leather or tape or whatever. Still amazing of the guy to bring them and set them up properly.
Yes. No offense to the kind guy who did all that hard work. The shades are lovely but when they first lit up the chandelier without the shades my heart fluttered from its beauty.
The skill, thought, care and generosity he put into these chandeliers is mind blowing! That he considered the masculine colour palate of the winter salon, along with the fabric designer and thoughtfully included aspects of the fabric he knew Stephanie would identify with. Superb!
The chandeliers were the most magnificent I’ve ever seen! What a wonderful gift from Anders. Great to see Marie back…what a cook! And adorable, nimble and quick reflexed Hanni! No to the goats if you want a garden!
Kristy is correct. I vote nay for the goats. Very destructive. Also, between chickens and peacocks in the kitchen and birds in bedrooms, I think the chateau needs window screens and screen doors. ❤👍😁
I had two goats. Endearing and beautiful creatures. But way too much work and Kirsty is right about eating all the plants. I think Philip needs a dog 😁😁😁
Omg the poor bird, I have a parrot and birds don’t fly in the dark (unless it’s an owl), I’d have left the window open, gone to bed and cleaned up any poops in the morning rather than frighten it so, that could have killed it. The chandeliers are absolutely beautiful, thank you and Happy Birthday Anders 🎂 you should have worn your little tiara all night, it suited you 😇. Good to see Kirsty’s partner was available to help with the carrying of the chandelier oh and well caught Hanni 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 . ❤❤
From chipping trees to pulling weeds, From assembling Chandeliers and wearing Tiaras. I loved every minute down to the birthday cake with a candelabra. How apropos!! Well done Stephanie and cast!
Absolutely yes for goats as they are great weed eaters; thus choose your confined areas with care. In my next neighbourhood goats are rented as weed eaters for clearance. You could also rent them for clearance, as another income stream. It’s an idea for community discussion within your household as all members will gain both benefits and annoyances.
I absolutely love seeing all the faces of lalande past that have returned in the past couple of vlogs. This is extended family has reached so many and we can’t thank you enough for sharing it with all of us.
Goats eat everything we had a goat and it ate our clothes on the line and all our vegetables in the garden. They can climb too so think long and hard about having goats. Love, love, love the Chandeliers by the way
Hanni dropping and catching the Champers, LOL!! Girl are we related?!? I can so relate to having that ability to totally slip up but also the quick reflexes to just keep ultimate disaster from happening!! 😂❤🎉
Awesome 👌 chandeliers!!! Anders is a wonderful person bringing in those 2 amazing chandeliers! Amaury, he's "The Man!" Amazing how almost everyone that comes volunteering in Lalande keeps coming back! Magical Lalande, indeed!!! You are of course, the main key for its continuing sparkle, Stephanie! Glad to see Hanny back!!! Whoa!!!
My no-fail method for catching and releasing birds that have gotten into the house (our cats used to bring them in through the kitty door so we have a lot of practice!) is to use a butterfly net and a feather duster made of real feathers. Cover the bird with the feather duster and it will calm down because it will think it is it’s mother. Really! Then gently slide the butterfly net under the bird and duster using the duster to cover the bird and net and take the whole thing outside. We have done this many times.
My dear Lady: I’m at a loss for words. Every time I watch I rejoice in your success and good fortune. It is no surprise that such lovely people gather around you like planets revolve around the sun. I’m so happy for you. What makes your show so special is the cast of glorious people that are pulled into your orbit. I’m elevated by your content and your lovely programming. ❤️John
If I’d known you were gonna play the Champaign drop clip 3 times I wouldn’t have replayed it 4 times before you! Lol! I would expect no less of a catch from a girl who can scale a window like her from the outside so effortlessly! ❤️☺️💕🤣
Just wow! Hani back🥰🎉, two beyond words gorgeous chandeliers-just too marvelous a gift to believe. (When saying to replace the light above the pool table I had a slight heart attack as we have a pool table and the “shots” that have hit it by inexperienced players gave me a heart attack. Thinking the destruction one ball could do.) Today was pure joy! Vote “NO” for goats-they eat EVERYTHING-everything!
Awww!!! such progress!!! yes interesting! Oh my god Stephanie, the chandeliers from the young, yes I said young man is so precious!!! So wonderful!!! Have a wonderful and blessed week. Happy Birthday to all in May.
Nick's parents must have a great sense of humour to agree on wearing brown paper bags. Anders: how many hours (months) did you spend on restoring those beautiful chandeliers? Chapeau!
since I'm retired, it's more of a hobby and something that I can put away and go to. As well as looking for the right places for loose parts and the time-relevant prisms. So time I call quality time.
@@AndersBu And quality it is! With a capital Q. You also must have a very patient character, to keep looking for lost or broken parts. The result is breathtaking and thank you for sharing this. Kind regards from The Netherlands :-)
No to goats!!! They are wonderfully full of character, but they know exactly which are your most prized plants and will destroy them in a flash. You may think you will have them well fenced or controlled, but they always find a way.
Please, no goats! I have never seen such beautiful chandeliers before. They have happily found a wonderful chateau to shine in. Nice to see some familiar faces and the bag heads-LOL. Delicious looking meal and a stellar save by Hani. Thanks Stephanie🙏🏻❤️
That is exactly what I was thinking too. The Wedgwood room is so light and elegant and beautiful when compared to Marie's bedroom which looked too busy and overwhelming. Its the wall paper.
The chandeliers are fabulous, what an amazing gift from Anders. Great to have Maria and Hanni back, my guess is she will be reminded of that very nimble champagne catch many, many times! Marie and Philip with the trapped little bird brought back memories of the time, many years ago, when we had a small bush rat in the house... exhausted by 2am, with the all the French doors open, house ablaze with lights and armed with the garbage tin lid as a shield... plus brooms in hand, we were caught by the garbage collectors - with front row seats, they must have thought we were crazy! 😂🦘
OMG Hany's face when she miraculously caught the Champagne! Go girl! The chandeliers are absolutely stunning, what an amazing gift and addition to the chateau. Would love to say yes to the goat but scared that it might ruin the plants, unless it would be well away from them.
Stephanie you have so many funny guests this time, Pavlina and her “reading from the palm of her hand” to “ they are starving us” … ( so funny) to Hanny dropping then catching the bottle of champagne, to your cousin the handsome handyman of all times, and the “bagged” parents, very very funny. Never mind the fabulous chandeliers.
Maybe you can borrow goats to eat all of the stuff in the lake bed but they will destroy all of your beautiful plants if they can get to them. So happy to see Hanni and Marie! And to have Maria back is wonderful too. Anders is such a lovely gentleman and the chandeliers are amazing! I can certainly see the family resemblance between the elusive Nic and his elusive parents.
Absolutely, no goats. They eat everything, they eat everything. Including convertible tops, lawn chair cushions, flowers, plants, umbrellas, etc. If it is chewable, they will eat it.
(Moira Ashton) Another great vlog, please DON'T have goats- they are adorable BUT WILL EAT EVERYTHING !! The chandeliers are gorgeous, And WELL CAUGHT Hanny- that was Clever, I've watched it over and over, 😁😆😅😄xxxxx
No to Goats from personal experience. You can not care for them like sheep! They are smart and will constantly get into trouble there because no one will have time to monitor them every day.
Oh my heart! My love for chandeliers just grew exponentially! Those 2 are beyond stunning!! I'd like to hereby insert every fantastic descriptive word there is to describe those beautiful things! Just...WOW. Anders, you are a special man! Welcome back to all the lovely ladies, too!
I completely love the new chandelier in the dining room, and definitely the dining room is the first room to deserve a Chandelier Upgrade👍🏻, but I have to say I was quite disappointed to see it leave the Wedgewood Nook😥, because it turned it into a spectacular Jewel Box of a room; it literally looked like it was made just to top off that room.
So good to see Hanni back I was wondering how she was doing. Anders WOW, chandeliers are amazballs. So happy to see many old friends returning for visits too. Thanks everyone for smiles from 🇦🇺🐨🦘
Hanni and Marie, welcome back!!! You have been missed because you make life so enjoyable. Hanni almost dropping the champagne, and Marie trying to get the bird out of her room, made me laugh. Indianapolis May have the race, but La Lande has
I had a bird in my house this week! I ordered a cheap butterfly/bird net from Amazon and two days later I got the bird. I kissed him on the head twice and released him or her and he/she comes and sits near me when I sit outside. We are friends now. And I had a goat and he came into my house and chewed the edges off my record albums. Beautiful chandeliers.
I love how treasures from across the Earth are being given to Lalande. Its so joyful watching Lalande become a nexus of love and positivity. Your vlogs certainly bring me joy, happiness, love, and healing. I’m very grateful for every moment I spend watching Lalande videos. 🥂🍷💋🖖🏼😎
Yes, well said, I found this beautiful group of people before covid19 shut down my life. I care for my parents full time both in their 90s ,my father is blind and my mom has dementia. I have escaped from my sad life and traveled to france 🇫🇷 twice each week to see Stephanie and her lovely family and friends do fun crazy things. Without this vlog I don't think I would have made it ..I know that's a dramatic statement but this group of people are so talented and witty. And I pray for the very best things for them! Yes, Lalande brings me joy, laughter, and healing...and me too, I have a Tiffany glass lamp in design of peacock feathers with the iron bird sculpture as the base. When I die, it will be sent to the chateau De LA Lande.to stay its next home in france. Trebien
Wow, so many returning faces lovely to see everyone. The chandeliers are exquisite how kind of Anders. The grounds are looking fabulous. The peonies were gorgeous. Kirsty and partner’s garden must be wonderful. Our neighbours at one stage had goats and they are fun but they eat everything and I mean everything if they escaped, your garden would be no more. No no no.
What a perfect episode: stunning, stunning chandeliers, Hanni, Marie and Maria, an epic escape from a shattered champagne bottle, a freed bird, everyone in paper bags and Amaury's shave. There you go, awesome.
The chandeliers are absolutely stunning! You are very lucky to have a friend like Anders. I have to agree with the majority here and say no to the goats. You have worked so hard to get your garden and the rest of the Chateau grounds looking amazing. It wouldn’t take long for the goats to ruin it all.😢
Goats are ADORABLE, but Kirsty is correct! If you want to keep your plants, don't get them. PS: Nick's parents wearing paper bags made me BURST out laughing!!

There is a saying : Making the ram the gardener...which means no good for the garden!
Goat Island! In the middle of the lake!
I’m team Kirstie! Unless you want/can contain them in the field with the sheep, nope!
A brand new garden and goats is a bit like electricity and water.... I'm with Kirsty. 🧡
I agree . Keep goats in pen if not you can say goodbye to a garden.🌹
My neighbours had goats, the cutest things you have ever seen UNTIL they get near ANYTHING, plants, shrubs, dish towels, t-shirts, shoes !
Exactly!! Which is why I think Isabel is also not keen on having them
Lol. Can’t agree more. It’s true.
Goats are so cute when they are little but after a short time do things that make you want to eat them!!!
NO GOATS!!! Unless you fence them into their own area or you won't have any gardens left. 😢

Hannie's expression when she dropped and CAUGHT that huge bottle of champers was priceless.
So glad Nick considered the living arrangements of the baby birds and didn't cut down the pine tree just yet. Thank you, Nick!
He is a remarkable Renaissance man! I adore him! He is all about saving nature, restoring it, protecting it! Amazing man!
So nice to see Hanni! I have missed her. No goats otherwise the garden will be gone. They can go over any fences or gates
Unless you give them a fenced area in the field, you need to choose between goats or garden! Also who is going to look after them?
NO GOATS😱
Everyone has worked too hard on reviving LaLande gardens.
Yes, they would need good sheds to survive the long winters.
No fence will hold a goat, no goats
Not only the garden but around fountain and around church disastrous
My husband was raised on a farm. He said goats will eat anything.

Never mind the fabulous chandeliers.
How lovely Anders is 💓
Maybe you can borrow goats to eat all of the stuff in the lake bed but they will destroy all of your beautiful plants if they can get to them. So happy to see Hanni and Marie! And to have Maria back is wonderful too. Anders is such a lovely gentleman and the chandeliers are amazing! I can certainly see the family resemblance between the elusive Nic and his elusive parents.
WHAT A SHOW - so so glam - of course. Loved seeing Marie, Maria and Hanie back too. What a team❤️❤️❤️
So glad they are back
The chandeliers are fabulous. What a grand gift! Happy Birthday, Anders!
Absolutely, no goats. They eat everything, they eat everything. Including convertible tops, lawn chair cushions, flowers, plants, umbrellas, etc. If it is chewable, they will eat it.
the 2nd chandelier looked much better without the lampshades.
Tree guy Nick is the human form of Animal the Muppet! He's hilarious 😂
Chandeliers are gorgeous! Nicks parents with bags on their heads, too funny! And driving!! That was so good!
Goats love to eat gardens...The chandelier man is AMAZING!!!
YES
Genial la fiesta y geniales todos los invitados...
Lo de las cartas históricas es maravilloso..tu mamá estará feliz.
At the rate Lalande is going, we are running out of expression 😅😅...Fab!!...Fab!!. ...just simply FABULOUS!!😘❤
Yesss get goats, I love them!!
So good to see Hanni back I was wondering how she was doing. Anders WOW, chandeliers are amazballs. So happy to see many old friends returning for visits too. Thanks everyone for smiles from 🇦🇺🐨🦘
i literally fell off my chair when i saw Nick's parents!!! This is one hilarious family!
Hanni and Marie, welcome back!!! You have been missed because you make life so enjoyable. Hanni almost dropping the champagne, and Marie trying to get the bird out of her room, made me laugh. Indianapolis May have the race, but La Lande has
Wow those chandeliers that Anders brought is absolutely stunning. Soo beautiful.
My first flash when you said possibly getting goats was them eating the newly planted garden area by the chapel slope
Those lights are the most beautiful that I have ever saw WOW!!! Enjoyed the vlog Thank you
What a wonderful man Anders is and many good wishes for his birthday....also a no regarding the goats ❤
Trebien
What a generous, generous man Anders is WOW the mind boggles
So glad Marie is back. She is such a good cook and fits in so well.
Hanni brings the fun..
Hani's facial expressions were everything :D laughed out loud, loud! :D
