The shot of Stephanie running down the red pidgin tower with her yellow and red dress billowing out is beautifully iconic!
Needs to be in every chateau compilation video from now on.
I agree. Time for another screen grab for my The Chateau Diaries folder.
Absolutely! It struck me as extraordinary too.
I was thinking same thing!! She looked beautiful! 💃🏰
And the black knickers showing
Stephanie and Phillip and the Waterford crystal glass conversation--- bwahahaha. You two are like an old married couple. I LOVE it! I absolutely love that you guys are a couple. I adore the both of you.
Michael Potts brings special vibes to La Lande
I m in love with Michael such a nice person.
Such kind people. Such lovely people. Stephanie you have such lovely people occupying and working the chateau. It is inspiring.
The stone wall at the end of the pergola needs a wall fountain. I think that would be beautiful and a great focal point when you are walking under the pergola. Great work!
I love that idea
That was brought up in the video when Stephanie was at the Garden Show. I've been team fountain ever since ⛲ 😆
I've always thought a central fountain would pull everything together in the walled garden. Perhaps a water feature on the end wall, and a central fountain too?
@@karinbergman1646 YES ! More for Team Fountain ⛲ 😄
Fountain ! Fountain! Fountain! Lots more fountains and oversized bird baths required!
this is the most amazing and magical vase I have ever seen!😍💕💕thank you so much for sharing this with us🙌
So moving to see those two fabulous women from Ukraine and Russia interacting with no nonsense. If the world were run by people like these.....
I thought the same thing.
Who is the Russian? If it had been two men I doubt it would have been quite so cordial.
Amen!
It’s how things could be, if those who chose to follow despots would only wake up and realize what the end result of that decision means to those around them, and the world.
@@neilchisholm8376 maria is russian but grew up in cypress
The vase might be a good vessel for birds of paradise.
Philip´s brilliant "guilding the lily" ! Lol
Congrats on getting your South African vase!
21:30 - Philip, with those legs, you look as if you are a member of the ballet! Either that or you’re part grasshopper!!!!
That flower you did not plant looks like the wildflowers here that hummingbirds love in their migrations. Had a field of them in the mountains of southern Colorado with a flock of maybe 75 hummingbirds 💜💜💜
Wow, beautiful pottery vase. Fantastic material. So exciting to see the garden coming along so well.xxx
What a man Dan is. He does great work
Something i learned from my mother in law. when the roses start to lose their pedals, you need to take off the rose head. This helps your rosebush to grow more as they don't spend all their energy on trying to revive the dead/ pass its prime rose.
Stephanie and Philip, and all the glorious Lalanders you inspire me to live a beautiful and productive life 🍃
The tablecloth would look amazing on a wall
It's so nice you open up LaLonde to so many friends/family...the home is so alive now. You saved it.
Michael POTT is the joy ! Very please too see him 🇨🇦
Maria, how beautifully you play the piano, and how effortlessly! All that musical talent wandering around the chateau, I hope to hear more of you all!
Having an office in Michael's loft area would be perfect I think. Offices can get cluttered, and having it in the loft keeps it out of sight.
That is so lovely. What a lovely sound of the fountain!!!
😉 Enjoyed several repeated viewings throughout the day〰️and a leisurely perusal of the comments. Wanted to soak all the various details in 💜 .
🎉 It is positively thrilling 🎉 that your
🦒beautiful baby🐘 safari extravaganza arrived safely from South Africa🇿🇦. Ardmore Pottery is absolutely glorious as are the two artists that made this sculptural marvel. Gilding the lillies indeed...such a hoot 🌸.
🤍🖤Enameled Pantry Storage 🖤🤍
🔍The vintage breadbox & flour containers were a great find👍. Philip's own 🔎discovery on that "chipped" attic cache pot was 🆒️〰️can't wait to see the original blue & white pattern fully exposed. The floral painted surface was certainly 🏵 pretty, but I don't mind that it wasn't permanent😄.
🤔Know there are heaps of cheap mass marketed ceramics that can do well with creative & clever🖌artistic embellishment. 💯% here for enlivening discarded things, esp. when they were poorly done or look beat up after years of use & abuse. 🌎 Do support reinvention & reuse♻️ vs landfilling 🗑 goods that can go on & serve a repurposed life.
Although a part of me does cringe 😬 at the notion of someone spray painting an actual antique simply bcos they find it hideous & got it for pennies from some yard sale🤣. Inherited a bunch of beautiful chinoiserie porcelain from parents, some of which has cloisonne art that's not exactly to my taste😖. My solution is to group them in clusters or against a wall🏺, so the part I don't like is concealed from view🤗.
🍽 Your Mummy's dishes and Pavlina's fresh floral 💐 arrangements were a lovely backdrop to Marie's culinary feast as were the boys serving it.
🧐Curious. #1 If there is no dedicated chef👩🍳, do your ppl rotate into cook according to their skill level? #2 Do you provide 3 official meals per day or is it only dinner? #3 Also, do the worker🐝 bees & other residents get fed before, during, or after guests?
Welcome to lovely🥕Ombeline🍄!

Just the mention of Cat and her labeling and I start laughing.
Bravo again !!! 👏👏👏✨✨✨✨✨💘
I love volunteer plants :)
I love that 192,000 subscribers are with the Chateau crew.
Laland feels like an alternative universe to me. Everyone is so kind, joyful, stylish ❤️ I love watching the series
The Pergola is going to a beautiful vision. I always find they give a garden such an enchanting feel. My eyes are glued on this one.... xxx
Amaury, Happy birthday. Hope you received many presents
GLAD TO HEAR THAT "ARDMORE" IS STILL RUNNING IN SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦 ! ! !
Love piano ! She plays beautifully 💛💐
Love this video! Lots of love to all LaLander's! xx
Hermoso castillo, siempre fue mi sueño vivir en uno
Beautiful art & I love gardening 💚💚💚
Can you PLEASE put out a Chateau cookbook!!! Pays tribute to volunteers and guests and can raise money for your charitable donations! I claim first book!
I'd be happy with a separate youtu.be channel dedicated to all the wonderful foods made in the kitchen.
I would buy that in a heartbeat!
Love this idea
YEAAAASSSS!!!! I’ve been wishing there was a recipe book for all the lovely dishes for the last three years I’ve been watching!!! Mouth watering and gorgeous have been so many of the meals and nibbles served!
Please! I'm playing my order now
Oh I’m so excited to see video of the gardens later this summer! Yay!
deadhead, deadhead, deadhead! Keep those beautiful roses blooming for a long time. Take care from country NSW, Australia!
Thank you for making content that is so uplifting. I’ve been getting over that illness we’ve all tried so hard to avoid the last two years, and watching Laland videos has been so cheering. Thank you!
Every wonderful upload is just so joyous- so many happy people and gorgeous developments at Lalande ❤️ Deeply satisfying. The picture of Amoury and Nati cheek to cheek is a keeper 🥰🕊 Hiya Michael Potts 🌟
Ahahahaha I like Michael Pott's description of you terrorizing other Lalande owner! And, after hearing his enthusiastic lauds for the courtyard garden, well he's won me over to the design.
USA 🇺🇸 FLORIDA saying hello 👋 to everyone
This is one I missed til now...great vlog
Stephanie you took off down the tower stairs like a kiddie on Christmas Morning lol, it was so cute. But what a beautiful vase it is. It really does fit in with the eclectic fairy tale style of La Lande, beautiful addition. That was a fabulous trip as well that I enjoyed a lot.
So nice to see Michael looking through his apartment. The courtyard is looking really green, it is looking rather beautiful and will be stately. The gardens are really taking off now. And another gardener, wonderful. Thank you..
As a retired sustainable Architect and General Contractor I have to say that Earthship Structures are about the best thing ever devised by man to allow sustainable living in every way. Having that kind of experience is a powerful resource that the Chateau has never ever had and needs so badly with lake coming back! What a great addition! So exciting.
Peacock feathers would be stunning in the vase.
Now you know everyone loves Mr. Micheal Potts, Stephanie, something is going to make everyone smile when he comes in, and leopards yes, I am going to have to put that into my color scheme some how. Let me think.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful art pieces.
Good to see everyone and good to see Phillip!!! He keeps the happiness in the house!!!
What a charming gesture from Nati and Kirsty - love herbs myself. Two v nice women working for you there Steph 😊 Super vlog, loved it xx
I love the design and colors in Michael's apartment. It looks so serene yet inviting. Well done🤗
And wouldn’t the mezzanine be a great space for a day bed and reading nook!
The vase and the linens are spectacular! So much detail!
I love all of the flowers. The piano playing was beautiful. I can't believe someone painted over that vase Philip was stripping.
What a beautiful vlog STEPHANIE and Philip, Dan is doing a great job in your garden with the pergola it's going to look fabulous when all the greenery grows on it ,thank you for sharing. X💕🌼🌼🤗🥂
maybe take extra time to lay down something to block weeds and such first. They will grow through top soil and probably have deep roots.
I would put Thor's beautiful plumes in the South African vase. It would be an amazing display of color.
Perfect suggestion!
Great addition to the team! And fantastic vase! Dan should get a plaque on the pergola for posterity!!
You never should have let Michael get away. He’s amazing.
Splendid😍
Love the Ardmore. Seeing Isabelles rose slips growing beautifully is special & watching Stephanie falling in love with gardening must make Isabelles heart glow with joy.Love love my everyday time spent with all at La Lande 💕
Beautiful video full of excited energy. Loved the dress flowing behind you Stephanie as you practically flew down the stairs.
The artistry on the SA vase is gorgeous. Use museum putty under the base once you decide it’s permanent placement please. It would be a shame if it toppled over.
Michael you are a joy to see at your home away from home. You look so relaxed and I loved your enthusiasm about the courtyard and how the different light effects would play in your photography. The fountain bought by Stephanie’s dad has a place of honor and the plants enhance it perfectly.
The table looked amazing Philip. Loved hearing the piano being played so beautifully.
Welcome to Obeline to the garden crew. Such a beautiful young woman who has decided to come home and settle now. I bet her family is very happy too.
Have a beautiful weekend. 🤗😘❤️🙏
Love the magical artwork Stephanie! I'm just worried will you have enough money to fix the heating and the external render? It seems quite important to get those things done first.
Mr Potts always makes me smile 😊
Philips voice out of no where right by the camera made me jump at :40 🤣
The pergola is fabulous! Dan is the man for sure.
Do all of you who watch La Lande feel like parents to the Chateau as each episode something wonderful happens. All people living or visiting La Lande are amazing, so good to see Aussie Grant there, makes us Aussies feel like we are there too. xx
Suggestion: put white peacock feathers in the new vase. That way the vase stays clean and it looks rich. And a suggestion about the herbs in the window: never water them when the sun is burning on them. The difference in temperature can be too much of a shock and the leaves of the Basil are tender and can burn this way. Early in the morning or later in the evening is best. Great video again!
So absolutely delightful to see my fellow South Africans being represented 🇿🇦🌹
Stephanie, if I could only watch one u-tube Chanel , it definitely would be Chateau Diaries. Many times I almost feel as if I am there. Here is my suggestion for a book tittle. Love Blossoms. at La Lande, To think it all started with Momma. And of course gardening , parties, music and dancing all included. Maybe a little Imagined mystery as well.,
ive been watching some of the older videos to remember what it was like at curtain time periods, there was the dan period, and the dutch guy ( cant remember his name at the moment ) then christy, and now thumbelina and she is the sweetest flower of them all..............
My sister, a friend and I were three of the lucky guests. The chateau, the gardens and the people are all wonderful- even better than you see on these vlogs. Thank you Stephanie, Philip, Natalia and everyone for making it such a memorable experience.
Happy Birthday, Monsieur Amaury!
🙏🏻⚜️💗❣️💗⚜️🙏🏻
L
Ove Stephanie and Michael Potts humour especially together. Xoxoxo
He cleans up well. An understatement. 😉
Wonderfull to see something so beautifull from South Africa in the Chareaux. Greetings from Cape Town SA
Hello from Arizona
That Vase is Everything 🤗 She plays the piano 🎹 Beautifully 😍 ✨️ Thank you for sharing ❣️ ❣️
Hey Phillip, I really like that shirt you are wearing @14:29.. The vase is beautiful.. and I really like the Bread box and Flour box Stephanie bought. I keep an eye out for them at sales. Last time I saw a bread box at a sale, I was with my Aunt and she saw it first and snapped it up. d'oh!!..
Maria you are just incredible.. what a wonderful people around you Steph and its all because you are wonderful urself ❤️ missing mummy and Percy and Gerry
I agree with Michael- the different angles of light, filtering through the leaves and flowers… makes me want to get my cameras out! Inspiring❤️
I LOVE your videos. There is, literally, *never* a dull moment at Lalande!
Congratulations on the beautiful African vase! Welcome to the vegetable gardener!
And can’t wait again ! Also love from Vancouver ca
On my bucket list 🤗
When Micheal Potts sat down with his wine and Phillip, I did a big sigh, I thought, "how relaxing", then Stephanie said, its time to get up, and I felt a little like Michael looked. Oh no, please, let me just stay here a little longer!
My favorite flog so happy and appreciative, great projects that inspire.
The South African vase is beautiful, I was wondering what you bought 😉. Made me feel proud. Thank you for sharing your life with us, there’s an incredible amount of hard work “behind the scenes “ in every aspect of running the Château. I always look forward to your videos and watch with a smile on my face from beginning to end. Thank you. Kind regards from 🇿🇦
For the painted bowl, soak it in hot water and dish soap; use a softened, used steel wool pad. It will peel easily.
We celebrate the beautiful art with you and all the incredible changes to the gardens. Thank you for always sharing. My daughter Fiona and I have been watching for years and, while quiet, we send our love to you all.
Sweet mercy THAT TABLECLOTH.....Beautiful!!!🌸🦒🍃🐘🌿 (the vase isn't half bad either LOL😉)
Wow that is so beautiful. A great addition to the chateau
Oh and the little peak of Maria playing piano with such connection to the piece. Just magical
pergola looks great. Well done Dan 👏
I love the china with the birds. The gardens are looking more beautiful everyday, can't wait till the pergola is done. I want to sit under it.
Can't wait me too....lol🤭....love from Canada ❤🍁❤
"hold up isabel!" I'm dying 😂😆😘
A piano should always be playing at this romantic place.🌸💕🌸💕
Wonderful Vlog. With Kristie, Cyril, and Ombeline working so hard the walled garden will be a show place. Dan's hard work on the Pergola, and the new trees and plants will be epic. A perfect place for Isabelle to sit out and survey her Kingdom. My mother canned and pickled her own vegetables so I will be interested in what Ombeline brings into the kitchen. I love the new garden rooms and the tour of Michael room. His joy and smile is contagious. The SF vase was the best one to pick. The Giraffe 🦒 is my favorite wild animal, and the Elephant 🐘 was my sister's, so as they are endangered, I hope lovers of wild animals remember to support protection efforts. 😁❤
I rewatched the tour of Ardmore Ceramics Stephanie did and several documentaries on the foundation's history. The Artists and Artisans supported by this training and mentoring are highlighted in several SA insider shows. The Chateaux of the past have supported all the arts and collected the work of Artists and Artisans. Architecture, wood paneling, stone work, painting, textile arts including tapestries, literature and book binding, music and song, pottery, ceramics, gardens and cuisine, mechanical inventions starting with mills and fountains, to name just a few of the human endeavors supported by the Chateau life. Thank you for expanding and inspiring my life each week with all the varied experiences of yours.😁
Amazing beautiful colourful vase. Thanks for sharing 👍
The comments Michael made about the courtyard changes reminded me of all Dan's work prior to Davey's input.
Such a collaborative effort...you lucky duck..and now Aussie Grant with his borders...Something wonderful and exciting seeing a pergola developing too
I love your videos. I now dream of visiting the French countryside. Thank you for always being so positive and uplifting. That guest dinner looks delicious. Looking forward to your next episode at the Château
We call plants that seed themselves "volunteers ".
The first red rose is smiling! May it cheer up Michael Potts.
Sculpture tack will help it not ever fall if someone accidentally hits table. It’s gorgeous!!! Congrats perfect there with your wallpaper etc
