Wonderful analysis! It’s hard to find these stats online as an American. I was considering flying down across the border for a cheap EV, but this video shows that BYD’s prices in NA are still about the same as others.
The EVs vehicles is the answer to prevent pollution both sound , air global warming, for me it doesn't matters who made the vehicle,we need to shift in to a none combustion engine to save the mother Earth.
BYD has more models than what you reviewed and the models reviewed all have different battery size and range options. The new Qin L range extender model has over 1200 miles range. Price is never the only reason for choosing a car, it’s not buying a trash can. A high level of emotion is involved not always a rational decision. BYD or any other Chinese EV will face uphill battle if they’re allowed in US market. We should let consumers to decide what to buy not politician or RUclips influencer.
It would be wise to install the latest in solar power for your home and electric vehicle. China has also improved on that technology also. After you have done that you will likely never need to spend much more money for charging.
If US and Canada continue to ban Chinese EVs, it is the loss of their consumers and the loss of the whole car industry. A closed market will eventually lose the competitive advantage (even for Tesla which is already losing its edge now) for their car industry.
Mexico has an energy matrix basically made of fossil fuels, making it difficult for BYD to invest in a country with low infrastructure for renewable energy
I dont see why is impossible The mexican market is really tractive because many citys are looking to reduce air polution and jump all restriction of use of a gasoline car.
much love for BYD... from cuba!
Chinese EVs made in Mexico can be sold in Mexico and other countries in central and south america.
we love chinese cars, please come to cuba... with much love for china - its people, culture & history. your good friends from cuba!
BYD has been increasing sales in Central America, South America… so Cuba and Caribbean - seems possible

Can byd pass nhtsa? Mexico doesn’t require the safety rating America’s does. They sold a 1980s Nisan Sentra as new until fairly recently
These models are sold in Europe and Australia with five star safety rating. Since they’re not sold in U.S., hence no U.S. safety test.
BYD # 1
Taiwan numba wun Japan numba too chynaaa numba ten
❤❤❤
No incentive discount allowance for cars manufactured outside of USA. USA needs jobs here in USA

I want the affordable Toyota truck IMV0, the Chinese EV is not cheap enough.
No way can that thing pass safety regulations
The prices arnt cheap enough to justify IMHO

Gasoline is actually on average more expensive in Mexico than in both the USA and Canada (data from 2023)
Byd needs to come up with better names..seal, dolphin..whats next whale or walrus...🤪🤪
It has dynasty series
People in the United States want gas car no ev is junk junk
Who bought Tesla in US? All owners are foreigners?
...America is much older than the USA.
How can Mexica Citizens afford to pay $50k for an electric vehicle.
America is a continent
USA is going to have USA as a market. China will have Asia, Latin America, Africa, etc.
