      @@derpderpin1568 You, like them, need a lesson in that. Cowboys, LeBron and Brady drive ratings but not the extent they talk about them. Baker is irrelevant and outside of LeBron, no one cares about the Lakers rn, despite the brand power. Look at the variety from First Take, Cowherd, First Things First etc. This show has two incredible personalities and talented guys with a terrible & redundant set of debates nearly every week.

      I am a huge MLB fan myself. However Shannon and Skip “specialty” is the NFL and NBA. During the MLB season at least have a segment 1-2x a week on baseball would be great.

      From 86’-96’ Bonds was the best all around player, with his base running. From 89’ onwards,Griffey Jr. was being hyped all the time, but they both still were under the radar, because of the PED home run era.
      Not being on championship teams, or even contenders some years, really hurt how they were judged, as well.

    What's not getting talked about enough is the degree of difficulty in all of his at bats. With most starters and relievers throwing breaking balls hitting mid 80's to even the 90's and throwing insane moving sinkers and high 90's fastballs, he's hitting for power AND average while getting strikes called on him at his damn shins. What he's doing this year is going to be talked about for decades to come. Unbelievably impressive.

      I genuinely love when current sporting greatness is recognised. Sports fans are constantly blinded by nostalgia and everything "was better back in ______" which coincidentally happens to be while they were young and full of life.       Shannon has literally cited his own personal experiences with baseball. He is absolutely a fan of the game. He's talked off his head many times on this show over the years about players he watched in his younger years.

    Skip usually has such bad takes especially in basketball but he's so right on the money about Barry Bonds. Steroids or not Bonds was not only the greatest hitter but probably arguably the greatest baseball player I've ever seen.
