What a nice group of people -- shows that Roger and his wife were devoted, loving parents who did an outstanding job raising their children who went on to become fine adults of great character - and that to me is greater then any sports stat.

Maris family needs to be here to watch a special moment that their father created that stood for 61 years. From what I read and watch, Roger Maris has a rough treatment from some stupid Yankee fans who feel Babe Ruth record needs to be held firm. Most Yankee and MLB fans highly regarded Maris as the true single season HR record. The other 3 who suppressed Maris HR are tainted with illegal substance, thus it will be another Yankees player to have a shoot are setting and break the #61. It will be thrill to watch the ball game.

This is huge. This is a real legit opportunity for the record to be broken clean just like Maris did. And Ruth before him. No one cares about McGwire, Sosa, or Bonds. They are all bums and those numbers do not count for anything. Aaron Judge is doing it for REAL. A Yankee, wearing the number 99 because Maris retired the number 9 jersey. And he is doing 61 years later against the Red Sox of all teams. What an amazing story and I'm so excited for Judge. I just hope he chooses to remain a Yankee for life. He is going to also win a triple crown which is insane considering he's breaking the all time home run record while doing it.
