There's a clip on RUclips where Kobe talked about the time he guarded Jordan during their first matchup. Kobe was guarding Jordan out on the baseline. Kobe said Jordan spun and drove the ball to the rim for a layup or dunk (can't remember which). Kobe said MJ moved so fast that he didn't even have time to react. Kobe said he knew the move was coming, as he had seen it so many times on TV. But to Shannon's point. It's one thing to see it on tv, but it's another to witness it up close and personal. I don't think many of these guys today truly understand just how different MJ was.

I remember the first time I ever saw Indy cars in person for the first time. At the time Danica Patrick was on the circuit. I thought before this day she was nothing more than a gimmick. After watching this sport live, I realized one can't be a gimmick and survive. Even if one finishes dead last every week, they're bad mofos for having the guts to even compete. Their speed and closeness to each took balls so big I was convinced afterwood that Patrick had to be a drag queen. Seriously though, that woman had more guts than most men when it came to driving. You’re right but your reasoning is wrong. When ja got to play against the warriors he dropped at least 34 points a game while shooting 45% from the field at the very least. So it has nothing to do with steph. Cause clearly steph ain’t guarding any elite offense player, and I doubt steph ever actually spent a significant amount of time on ball guarding ja
