I just bought one used.but actually new . The quality is top notch.sounds great.I noticed the tuning pegs are solid and effortlessly movable. Just noticeably well crafted.
Great playing as always 👍
i got the RS502 a while back. the neck is fairly chunky and has an asymmetric profile, but it's pretty comfy. the pickups (P90's) sound great. build quality is very good, although mine did have a slight problem with the bridge, in that it couldn't be screwed down quite low enough on the treble side, but then i like my action super-low. just double-check if you're testing one out. the frets are great and the whole guitar has a supercool retro vibe to it. great value for money if you're looking for a mahogany/maple P90 loaded guitar and don't want to pay Gibson prices.
Agreed, i have an RS502 and it's a great axe for blues rock and even jazz. P90s ara a quite noisy for higher gains though
Beautiful guitars
Nice demo!
Waiting patiently for the day I get my Revstar! Awesome guitars!
Did you?
@@jeeeeev not yet, back orders and no delivery dates yet. Ugggh
@@dragan4658 2 years? Wow
@@jeeeeev it started with this covid crap propaganda. It's still a plan of mine to get the Revstar! Gotta be black!
I just got one! It’s such a flawless guitar!
which one?
The review so good now i want one 😭
Great demo!
Pretty good demos ! 30% the weapon, 70% the warrior... :)
I bought a RS620 with the Brick Burst finish in late 2016. It's a steal for the price I paid, and it's one of those guitars that inspire you to play, similar to the Melody Maker line from Gibson. Simple controls and very easy to make adjustments on. A well thought out tool for someone like me. Holds tune very well also, which is a HUGE plus. If you are a player you really should check out the Revstars. I like mine so much that I even bought a Yamaha bass, model TRBX604FMDRB.
I've bought the exact same guitar, in the same color as well. I agree with you 100% !
how is it 2 years after?
Sounds good 👍
Nice demonstration
Wow the tone is completly different ... and we like it
And YOUR favorite was which one....GREAT Playing
what a clean design
I had one, it was awesome. I sold it once I bought a Yamaha SSC500 though.
got a ssc500, very cool guitar, sure different from rev....cool
Do they ever add the TAB for these demos?
Congratulations. You have already played with the RS502, how can you define the sound of these P90, pickups is fat ?. Is the sound of the P90 similar to the humbuker pickups of the RS420 or the RS820 ? I am interested in your opinion, it is very important to me.
If John Lennon was still with us, I could picture him having a signature model in black or natural with 3 P-90s and a Bigsby like his old Rickenbacker 325. He would have been such a huge get as a brand ambassador for Yamaha as he was quite fond of their guitars near the end of his life.
I own a 620. Awesome guitar. But with a major issue of weight inbalance imo. The neck and head are too heavy in comparaison with the body. When playing sitting its perfect. When playing standing up im constantly struggling with the plunging head. Desappointed with my purchase in conclusion. Anyone to share my feeling ?
RS820 for me, it has suit my sound taste, gotta ask my wife to put in on our buy list😂
can i replace the p90 with a humbucker set or is different size?
Different slots.
Hi sir gitar ki buy linke send plz
In case your conidering a Revstar, my 502T Revstar came from the factory with sharp frets. Yamaha Australia authorised a repair through their luthier network. The luthier turned my meticulously maintained 502T into a RELIC - File marks all across the fretboard, discolored my ivory binding (blackened it) and also left cracks along the binding. Yamaha's national service manager (AU) , Drew Morrow, was indifferent and basically told me to suck it up. Will never recommend or buy Yamaha instruments again. Their warranty counts for nothing, and management staff treat you with contempt, forever using rhetoric to evade their obligations.
MIC? MII?
MII
What is the name of the song..
.
It’s like a jazzed up “I Love Rock And Roll”
@@Hexspa yeah u r right but the solo is legit
Killer tones and killer playing, sounded like Mr. Richard but could not quite tell since he decided not to show his face...i think his day job should be writing rock riff hooks for washed out rock mega bands and just become filthy rich...
It WAS Richard Barret, no doubt!
BRO WHAT ARE THESE NAMES 😭😭😭😭😭
Are guitars becoming irrelevant?
Just get a guitar you like the look of and with enough electronic trickery, modelling amps, pedals etc., you can get any sound you want, regardless of what the guitar brand or model is.
Not really. The mantra in the recording world is, “Get it right at the source.” The better your original capture, generally the better end result.
Remember, recording is also a creative process done by creative people. Nobody wants to spend time fixing problems.
Really, the best sounds are usually not heavily processed. High quality, simple sounds playing musical things almost always wins.
@@Hexspa
I don't understand what your saying here, you don't seem to have a clue about modern recording techniques.
What the hell is creative about using strats for strat sounds and gibsons for gibson sounds etc?
Only specialist recording companies like Chesky and a few others try to obtain a minimilist, non processed sound by recording everything live on a single take wherever practicable, all the rest process the crap out it.
@@SaintKimbo All I'm saying is that certain guitars will give you certain sounds. You're going to be hard pressed to get a 4th position Strat sound out of EMG 81 humbuckers. You can't just process your way to a good sound all the time.
@@Hexspa
Well, modelling amps were the stuff of ridicule when they first arrived on the scene, now most people cannot tell the difference between a modern modelling amp and the original amp being copied, so it is reasonable to think that in the foreseeable future, this tech will simply make pick ups totally flexible soundwise, maybe even redundant in regard to sound signature.
@@SaintKimbo Ya, maybe. I agree with the amps. I've done the listening tests and can't distinguish between real and modelled. For this reason, I tend to use amp modelling exclusively and have done so for a number of years.
We'll see as far as pickups go. You might be on to something. Really, what you might need, is some kind of neutral pickup. That way the software knows what it's receiving and can change it. Line 6 tried with their variax but it didn't seem to take off. Slate also has their VMS mic as do a few others.
Sounds like Gibson
Not really. I have à traditionnal lp and à 620 rs. The yamaha has à bit less fatness in the sound but more brillance. I love both.
820 Likes, when I clicked on this video and watched it for the first time, should I click on Like and make it...........821?
I don't hear why everybody is going about these guitars. Sounds dull and compressed to me. (Rhythm guitarists dream)
Had the 620, it is warm and a bit compressed but not much. 720b has the trons, super nice paf voice and transparent. The p90s i didn't try.
That's because he's using a tube screamer which in my opinion is the most over rated pedal on the planet.
Because it looks cool ;-)
No like sound fat like Gibson Music mann better.
I have both à yamaha revstar 620 and à lp. I would not say that. Yamaha has à sound between à lp and à strat. Bright and punchy with à tiny less fatness than the lp. Love both
I find this to be a most unimpressive demo of a guitar. Seems to be a medium out put at pest.
At best not pest
