    • @tev1114

      yep, as an average Vietnamese, I accepted that not every ingredient is normally used in our dish, but most of the ingredients he (Nam Nguyen) has is correct and can use as the alternative
      But still, it's nice to see Vietnamese traditional dishes appear on a big channel like munchies

    • @hoanpham4545
      @hoanpham4545 Месяц назад

      Cool beans. I think most Vietnamese people understand that. However, they took what they learned and made it their own -- which makes it Vietnamese cuisine.
      I don't really understand your point? Pretty much every culture took something from another culture.

    • @herschoolcolors
      @herschoolcolors Месяц назад +1

      Uh the Portuguese could barely feed themselves until the Columbian Exchange happened and they appropriated the indigenous food of South America to produce what became “Portuguese cuisine.” Durian, pomelo, coconut, basil, fish etc etc all native to SE Asia. But yes, the *one* herb you mention, culantro, comes from the Mediterranean lol. Vietnam was exploited for centuries by murderous European colonial empires and you’re here to claim that *vietnam* stole something from Portugal. Insane lol.
