I just learned a few things on here. Have been using these for a week and am really blown away how good these are. The noise cancelling is unreal.
I can’t seem to make noise canceling to work.. I can still hear everything although it’s technically on. What am I doing wrong please?
@@Elenau2 Mine automatically starts the noise cancelation when I turn it on! That is strange!

@@serenavanderwoodsen3904 same i just got mine as well, have you tried pressing the custom button or also in the app go to ambient sound control and set it to 0 which turns into noise cancelling

There is a new function that I found today. Swipe forward or back and HOLD your finger when music is playing. So that music will forward and go back 5 second like this. This is very effective function but I didn’t see in anywhere.

I can't seem to make this work. I only hear a beep. Is this possible with Bluetooth 4.2 on your phone?
@@Janzimp it is not about the bluetooth version. When the music is playing, touch and slide forward and wait how much you want. Touch and slide two way to skip the music time.

My boyfriend got these for me when we had a newborn who went through the infamous 5/6 week growth spurt! Saved our nerves. It's great to be able to comfort your child and rock them to sleep while not being exposed to the full shabang of their screams..

@@sharktoof1 Of course, I am not an animal. I am human enough to realize that with the current overpopulation in the world, if I have a child it would be to suffer. I prefer to be a good person, have a vasectomy, and not have children, so I don't make anyone suffer. And even animals stop reproducing when there is an overpopulation.

Am blown away by how good these sound they're are a big step up from my old Beats solo 3s.
There is nothing in the written directions explaining all the functions… I’m glad I saw this… Sony should have a QR code on boxer in directions with a link to all their videos explaining how to use these headphones. 😢😂❤

I love the main beat they used for this
Pros:
Noise cancellation is so good on these.
They are comfortable.
Nice sound, wireless (pro for me)
Cons:
I don't enjoy these touch features...
They are clunky: Sometimes don't respond or I activate wrong feature (next instead of volume on or something)
Mechanism to do something repeatedly which I usually want for example enhance volume fast is clunky too, same goes for volume down
Lack of tactile feeling (you get sound, but applying of feature is slow),
What is wrong with having same buttons on the right side as you have on the left side...

got it as free for my samsung s21, omg this head phones is out of this world. hate myself buying beats headphones. must buy, top 3 best headphones along with senhhieser momentum series and bose 700. but most of reviews xm4 excels pretty much in its over all sound quality, BASS, battery life and and multi app features. the best freebie i got in 2021. can't pair it with my old samsung S7 though,

2022 February: I set my EQ to clear bass to Zero, 400 -1, 1k +6, 2.5k +3, 6.3k +10 and 16k +6 and now they sound way better.

@@SonyEuro they’re great. My only complaint is not Being able to use them for the PS4 via Wirelessly. And how bulky they are. Noise Canceling is almost perfect. Touch technology is borderline brilliant.

I really love the audio in mu XM3:s but the touch panel is such a bad design. Physical buttons is a much better HCI.

Not me any more. Yes They work when I turn off Adaptive Noise Control and Speak to Chat. I just hate how there’s so many gimmick’s to ruin a nice product. They could have just had the incredible sound, the swipe controls or physical controls, and a Noise Control On/Off toggle. That’s all that would have been needed.

I have a pair and they are by far the best I have ever had however I have a chime that goes off often and has no icon to troubleshoot any ideas
mate u most likeley have ambient sound control on, it detects ur location and changes sound settings accordingly, i advise you to switch it off

I've been a big fan of Sony headphones and earbuds. Ive onwed and gifted the WH1000XM3, WH1000XM4, WF1000XM4, Link Buds, Link Buds S, and have encouraged several people to purchase the WH1000XM4 and WF1000XM4. But i was very disappointed when my WH1000XM4 started to screech after 1 year of use, is therr any fix for the screeching noise (that others have noticed as well)? Is this issue all across your WH sets or has this been addressed?

@@dextermcdade I thought it was dedicated between devices. So if I walk away from my laptop to the kitchen with my headphones on, will the range of the bluetooth in the headphones make a difference, or in the device that I'm connected to? I'm gonna assume it won't change much.
@@incarnateTheGreat the only constant is the Sony headphones, the variables are the connection of WiFi section of those devices. They aren't using with the same chips
I just got the headset but I can't get the volume to work with my finder on the side.

Don't know if it's just mine but putting my hand over it for quick attention registers the same as the two finger function which turns speak-to-chat on/off. A little bit annoying as I would like to be able to use the quick attention function. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

The double tap to play pause suddenly stopped working on my step day old xm4's. The touchpad registers but doesn't play or pause the music. Every other touchpad function works.

Gonna continue rocking my XM3. I don't see the point in the speak to chat feature, AI can become confused and pause music when it wants to which isn't good.

I don't think you can do that on the HP...U'll have to do this manually on the device
I own a set of the XM4s. They sound amazing, are phenomenally comfortable and the noice cancellation is great. But my god are they not user friendly to use. I had an old pair of Bose AE2 before I bought these and I had hoped that switching between my tv to my phone would be just as easy on the XM4, flick up a switch until you find the device on your list (I had 4 on my old AE2 but I’d most likely switch between my tv to my phone) and just like that, playback would start on the newly selected device. Queue my new XM4. They allow you to connect between two devices, however there is no easy button to press that allows you to switch between devices. Instead they have this pause playback on one device and the pause/play on the device you wish to switch to which has yet to work for me once. It’s and absolute farce trying to switch devices, resulting in have to switch the other device off or close the browser you were on. Switch from phone to tv is there worst of all. This brings me (the long way round) to the app. The app, which I find myself using far too often for a set of headphones, doesn’t let you just switch between the devices by selecting the one you want in app. It pushes a prompt to do the play/pause method which doesn’t work on tvs or computers. So I provide a simple solution. The “custom” button, which only allows you to change between having it as your device’s voice assistant or your noise cancelling/ambient sound control should have a third option. At a push of the button it allows you to switch between your device list, saving from all the unnecessary and over engineered methods of flicking between devices.
TL:DR
Have the “custom button” setting be able to change between Bluetooth devices, so I am not having to muck about with the play/pause method, turn off the other device, or open the app every time I use the headphones.
Are there any other ways to pause, cus sometimes when I adjust the right headphone it just pauses, but I don’t double tap
can you listen to u tube on your phone with the volume turned down on the phone, so others can't hear the music. thx
the apps needs some work, i always put it on the setting where wind doesn't make a sound but it always turns itself off and often the headset and app don't communicate even tho bluetooth is connected

I have problem in enabling LDAC option in sony wh-1000xm4... I've tried enabling it but it is saying that my headphones should be compatible with LDAC option but LDAC option worked with my old phone I.e. Galaxy m20... But after shifting to galaxy A series, that option is not appearing anymore... What to do??😢😢
I can't believe you can't connect these to the PS5. What is the reason for that? Very annoying and I may return them as they were recently bought. I was going to buy the X95L TV but I'm having second thoughts if you can't even connect the headphones to the PS5. They don't even connect to my A6K HiSense TV.
