An excellent video Todd on hitting the hybrid! It took me a while to give up my 3 and 4 irons and replace them with the hybrid. However, since the replacement and watching videos like this one, I have learned to rely on the the hybrid more for the challenging shot. The recommendations you made here for the divot shot and from the rough shot have been noted and will be used. Well Done As Always Todd!
Thank you from NE Central Ohio. Have had both maxvert hybrids for a few weeks now but haven’t used them much yet (no driving range near me & only play 9 holes a week in my league). I have played the MG Golf 4H and 5H for several years and love them. Much easier to hit than the 4 & 5 irons they replaced. Longest iron in my bag is now a 6. Keep the videos coming!
Dropped my long irons and the best move I ever did. Driver, 5w, 4h, 5h, 6h, 7i-pw 50°, 58° putter. Keep it simple. Most par4 s are driver and an iron. My 5h 6h off a tee on par 3s. Par 5 driver 5w if I can get there or driver and 4h/5h if I'm laying up and a 50° wedge on. Playing off 23 home course par 72/6300m. Doesn't always go to plan but that's the strategy.
Hi Todd, I am learning a lot from your videos. Thank you. I am from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Could you do a video about how to swing club and rotate hips if you have severe arthritis in hips?
I'm not sure what it is about my 4 hybrid Callaway club, but I almost have to purposely try to not hit it straight down the fairways. By far my favorite club and most reliable club I have. I hook my irons like crazy, but the hybrid is money!
I know at times you like people to put forward another argument.... personally i don't like using the hybrid around the green mostly just because 99% of amateurs don't have the time to work on all aspects of their game. I tried this but i found i had trouble judging the distance as the ball would really pop off the face of the hybrid. My preferred method is to just putt with my PW. You can hit it a little firmer as it will pop up but it won't have that shooting forward motion that i find my hybrids can. Plus us older guys have usually developed alot of touch around the greens as we fight the good fight to keep our handicaps as we steadily lose a bit more distance each year.
Nice and really informing. I am from Nigeria. However, permit me to inform you too that it's a bit ignorant to refer to Africa as if it's one country. Africa is a continent with 54 countries. Most of them are golf loving with different experiences. Please be more sensitive about this. Anyway, I liked and learned from your video. Thank you
That's awesome to hear! I'm glad you're enjoying the Maxvert driver and finding the tips helpful. If you're interested in the hybrids as well, send a note to nick@usgolftv.com and we'll set you up with a discount!
Good question, Neil, one we get often. Here's a great video that talks about ball position for hybrids in the beginning - ruclips.net/video/bFEzSS-R_Io/видео.html Let us know if it helps, and thanks for watching and subscribing!
@@USGOLFTVshow Thank you for this quick reply AND the video was excellent! Hitting the range today to work on hybrids and 3 wood based on his videos. Small adjustments in stance, swing and ball position make a huge difference in the results.

@@stryder1962 yes we can look into this. You could start by reading our book The Bad Lie which can be found on Amazon.
Thanks Todd, and I will get the book. Sean Dunlop.
