I bought a 22 degree hybrid for $39 in 2004, cheap Taylormade Rescue knockoff by Dunlap……..and I can’t let go of it still. Still hit it great, still love the feel. Lost a few yards since then, but hitting it better than ever off the fairway and off the tee. Still get 200 yards out of it sometimes.
Good for you! Hybrids are great clubs for so many golfers. Have you seen this video we did on hybrids ruclips.net/video/PiCkTb862Ps/видео.htmlsi=KnNCUproWRPo_-lJ
Great. I agree that it is a magical club. When I connect, it fulfills all expectations. But most of the time I top it (and my fairway woods). I just can’t figure it out. Keep up the great work though.
I have the same issue. It helps to place the ball a little further back. I find, because it looks like a wood, that I tend to place the ball too far forward. When I remember to move the ball back a little, it helps.
As always Todd great video information and instructions I’ve seen this video before and yet I come back to it occasionally even though I’m crushing my 3 hybrid the last 3 rounds I’ve played I’m at the green in two shots thanks to your video and my 3 hybrid Thanks Coach
Today I’m thinking of purchasing the bundle set for the hybrid clubs. I have two question for you 1. What type of grip do you on the club ( the reason why I ask this is because I need jumbo grips) 2. I notice when I went to check out they asked for a promo code how do I get this code. And last I love your channel cheers from Canada
You bet, happy to help! Send an email to nick@usgolftv.com and we will get these taken care of for you. Thanks for the support and following the channel!
Good day Sir, thank you very much for your great video's and fantastic advices. Can I use these tips (raise the shaft) also for the fairway woods. I am from Switzerland. Thank you. Martin
Martin, you sure can. Works best with the longer clubs. You would benefit from ready my book where the entire Vertical Line Swing is covered www.badliegolfbook.com/
@@USGOLFTVshow Thank you Todd for your prompt reply. Deeply appreciated, your are doing a great job. I would like to buy your book, unfortunately is it not possible to buy your book here. Maybe you can help me to buy your book. Thank you for your support.
Great video Todd as usual. I play with a Cleveland hybor set of clubs that they no longer make. I have been told from different golf club dealers when I wanted to swap one for a hybrid club that they are the same. Can you tell me if they are, and if I should swing them more like what you demonstrated in your video. Thanks for any information you can give me.
Great video mate . I replaced my 4 iron with a 7 wood . Best thing I did as I was struggling with my long irons , I’m over 50 and a scratch golfer ⛳️🏌️♀️
Yes, make sure you completing your backswing turn with the hips. Also suggest you read this for the full Vertical Line Swing System www.badliegolfbook.com/
Todd, decided to re-gap my bag this winter. Went with 16 degree 3 hybrid, 20 degree 4 hybrid, 23 degree 5 hybrid. But still like my 21 degree 5 iron. Probably a little overlap. What do you and Nick think?
Todd, for senior golfers there is only one thing that works, loft, loft and again loft. Why playing with 18° loft hybrid while in the market you find a 5 hybrid with 25° loft which is tons easier to hit ? The same applies to the driver, nowadays you find drivers with 13° loft so why playing with an 8°/ 9° loft driver which is much more difficult to control it ?
Great points. The less loft on a club the more speed required to get the ball in the air. It also is more difficult to control side to side. More loft is good. 👊
None of your Videos show how to lineup an offset driver all. Your videos have normal straight drivers. Could you please show me how to lineup an offset driver thank you?
Have a 7 wood, 9 wood, and a complete set of hybrids. Love how your videos are for us experienced golfers. Thank You Todd.

Randy, make sure the ball is not too far forward and you are getting your weight forward on the finish 👊

Barry, thanks for asking. I am not very familiar with the Cleveland hybor, but if my memory is correct they are very similar to traditional hybrids.

Yes, but a 5 iron will produce a different shot shape than the hybrids. Be thinking of not just over all distance, but shot flight and landing.
@@USGOLFTVshow Good advice, can't work the hybrid like my iron...
I have been off single figures for 50 years. The longest iron in my bag is a 7! I use hybrids instead of all my medium and long irons.
You are a smart player. 💪👊

Welcome, are you following the Vertical Line Swing system?
only 1 hybrid in the bag? 😊 Okay, I love my 6 hybrid, bt I am torn between my 4 hybrid and 7 wood. The 7 wood launches even higher than my 4 hybrid.
Tough love Mark. LOL
