Well as I discussed earlier about my no start issues I managed to get it running again and the plug I used was the exact plug you're showing in your video so it's nice to know I got the correct plug. I paused the video but I'm sure you'll get into gapping it in a second I gapped mine to 0.03 of an inch this plug seems to work fine as a replacement to the zc plugs and it fixed my issue of it not starting. But this is why I love how you make these videos this reassured me that I got the correct plug and that my quick research on that subject drove me to the exact plug I need. I was aware of the terminal removals and stuff like that and that with this stiff boot or solid boot you do require to remove the terminal or something like that I don't own one so I'm not 100% certain but I will soon however with the boot like what's on your bike in this video and like what's on my bike you're correct, it fits over the terminal of this brand spark plug and the factory one. So I find it to be a perfectly good replacement for the factory plug or the zc plugs or whatever they're called. Now I'm going to unpause the finish watching the video Even though I've already done this just today and it fixed my issue with it not starting.
Quick mention about the "spark plug tool that comes with the kit. You say that there's a newer style spark plug tool and it's garbage as a spark plug tool I 100% agree with that because it doesn't have the both ends that's shaped different hex size spark plugs. But what I did find that new quote unquote spark plug tool that came with the kit useful for was for spinning the crank to attach the chain. So that tool that does come with the kit nowadays I don't believe it's for spark plugs at all I believe it's 100% for installing the chain and that's it and that is what I used it for and it worked perfectly for that. Just figured I'd throw that in as a side note I'd like to know what other people think about that.
Hello Mr. Hughes. I just installed my zeda 80 motor and did my first startup this morning. The bike will not idol at a stop (yes the clutch lever is pressed in). I understand it takes several hundred miles to break in. But the damn thing runs so bad. It only goes about 15 miles per hour before 4 stroking. Its like its suffocating. The choke is pressed all the way down so its getting plenty of air. I did notice when putting the engine together the needle circle thingy is on number 3 from the bottom. Is that my issue??? Should the circle thingy be on 2 or 1 from the bottom??? Please help, im so so so so frustrated.
Anything I need to research on these kits I pick ur site because u explain just exactly how I would do it but I’m sick of these cheap kits can you recommend a 2 stroke bike kit that is a quality Product and thanks for all your help
I had starting issues with the factory plug which just started on my motor that's just being broken in (I probably got less than 500 km on it right now). Now back to the no start issue I was having and the factory plug. I believe you're 100% correct on that. Because I was having no start issues but I was still seeing spark coming from this Factory plug so I didn't suspect the plug and was going to move on to the carburetor. For s**** and giggles I decided to throw on the replacement spark plug which is the exact plug he's showing in this video, (NGK BR6HS), side note, I'm just watching this video now after doing this and it's nice to see I chose the correct plug. Anyway, I set the gap to 0.03 of an inch. Once again for s**** and giggles I decided to check the gap on the factory plug and it was 0.04 of an inch so a whole 0.01 of an inch larger Gap, not sure why they do that or maybe they just expect that you'll Gap it yourself but in their stupid directions they definitely don't mention that. Either way the whole point of what I'm saying here is you're correct my bike very quickly stop starting on the factory plug replaced it with an NGK plug even though I was getting spark on the old plug and Bam she fired right up probably runs better than it ever did. I will be sticking with these plugs for now on and it's nice that it came with the second one so I have a backup.
I have a phantom 85 and it has a wire running through the spark plug I can try to send a video of the whole thing because I’ve really tried to get this working and I can’t seem to get it going
Hey man , good video... What tooth gear do you use ? Mine is stock gear that came with the motor.. I feel like it would pull better with a different gear..
I recently went from a stock 44T down to 40T, I have a bit more top speed but a bit less low end hill climbing ability. If you wanna climb hills easier & have faster acceleration. Switch to a 48T or 50T sprocket but the trade off will be a lower top speed.
@@HughesMotorized I'm looking to hang a little pulling power, not really interested in top speed.. I just want it to pull a tiny bit better than it does now.. and I am thinking about getting me a better head of some kind now and starting port an polishing it and maybe couple other items to put on once this motor starts to get tired lol..
If I remember correctly, you need the BR6HS with the resister in it, if you wanna use a cheap digital tachometer. Otherwise the non resister B6HS plug will make the tach numbers fluctuate/go haywire. The non resister plugs also cause electrical noise (humming sound in car stereos) I remember years ago, a guy going nuts trying to figure out why his new expensive car stereo had that electrical humming noise in it. They say the non resistor plugs provide better spark & are mainly used in racing vehicles that don't have lots of electronics in them but I highly doubt you'd notice any difference on a motorize bike. The discussion of resistor VS non resistor plugs starts to bring up much debate & misinformation.Some say the resistor plugs will slightly retard timing,etc.. Since the motorized bike ignition system is small & cheap, I'm guessing a non resister plug would have a more powerful spark but you wouldn't notice any changes in power or top speed between the 2 plugs.

Advanced Auto sells the BR6HS and I will never go back to the BP. She fires up and runs smooth from the start. If you can, see if any of your local places sells BR.
@@MM-qc1tf Oh yes absolutely. Also, the spark plug tool that came in the kit only fits plugs that have the same measurements as that. I have a spark plug tool for larger spark plugs, you'll just need to get a crescent wrench. The spark plug gaps on the BR and BP are 0.028 which is perfect for these engines. Thread wise they fit the stock heads perfect. Use a crescent wrench as a deep socket I don't think would fit anyways, if it did it would have to be 3/4 or 19mm, maybe even 20mm. I'm unsure what my large spark plug tool size is, I just know it works. I used a crescent wrench until I got the spark plug tool for larger plugs Also, I don't know if you knew this but on the stock plug the silver tip that goes in the spark plug boot you actually have to unscrew it. Don't know why either. The BR and BP you will not do that, leave it as is.

they are all pretty much the same onless you get a built engine fron Ethan Smolik, Don Butler or Dada Olney. Those cost $400 and up
How do you feel about the BP6HS I got two of these from sick bike parts and I'm worried it's hitting my piston yet its running pretty well
Pull the head and see if hitting the head.
By the way the bp6hs is definitely hitting my piston just enough to squish the gap and make it run like crap stay away from them
I went from a B6HS to a BR6HS to a BPR6HS. All of them work just fine. The only time I have any starting issues is when I don't use NGK's.

Can I use a spark plug out of a weed eater it's a champion spark plug and the numbers on it are 861 ECO please help

My kt motor has my spark plug facing toward the back of the bike. right or wrong?
Not a big deal, The head can easily be swapped, front or back is fine

I run a 40 tooth. Never tested speed but w/ a ported jug and a mild expansion chamber w/ stock carb it moves me along

The B6HS was discontinued but everyone swears by the BP6HS. I bought the BR to see how it ran and I swear my bike ran better with it.
How is it running now? I just recently bought a 2 Stroke bike and the Z8C Spark plug broke . I searching for one now.
