Of all the guitar reviews on andertons tv.. this is the most satisfying one.. this should be the blue print of all guitar reviews from now on on youtube.. jesus.. inspirational..
Very well done! This was great. Jamie nailed every riff and the right hand was right on. This was a very Ride the lightning tone which was one of their best, or best. More of this!
That was fun, way better tone than what was actually recorded on 'Kill'Em All' despite more or less the same gear. The guitar's price seems par for the course for Gibson's special models.
@@JamieSlays It does, I play with a PRS SE 24-08 and with these pictures shown online it does help newbies get closer to that tone. I can play (well to a degree) but as guitar nerds we are forever chasing that HOLY GRAIL of TONE. Especially for someone like me who does this on the cheap with Bias FX 2 and a Spark thats my lot.
I bought my first V in 1994 and played it for 23 years. Then I went insane and sold it. Instant regret!!! Luckily I managed to score a white 1995-model a few years later 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome video. Great playing bro. I loved learning all of their music back in the 80's. Kirk Hammett, and Scott Ian, are the reasons why I wanted play guitar. My bother and I are self taught from 1983. At first it was ACDC, Iron Maiden, then came Metallica, then Slayer. I would play, rewind, play, rewind, their cassettes over and over just the learn all this by ear. And Slayer, Sepultura, SOD/Anthrax, ect.... And we did ok in our local music scene for years because of it. You brought back some good memories for me, Thank you. How about a video, and medley, of Slayer with Jeff Hanneman's signature ESP, and amp setup? Your almost already there in this video.
Freaking incredible playing! That thing sounds killer. My local guitar shop got 1 of these in. It was behind glass but I got to see it. Was very cool. Wish I could have a whole instrumental version of And Justice For All... by Jamie. That was so good I'm going to listen again!
Holy sheet 😳 that was fucking amazing 👏 never wanted the jam to end. This is what we all did or still do. Just jam to our favorite riff in one long jam. Brought me back to watching RUclips as a teen and watching others jam out. Just like this. 👍
I've been on a flying V kick lately, constantly looking at V's and then this pops up in my feed?! Now I'm really gonna have to get one. Either a built one with parts or an Epiphone with EMG's. Great demo btw, that JCM800 tone is awesome!
It’s funny that the music we all love and rock out to is often recorded by kids with copy import guitars (Jame’s old imitation V) and then they get super famous and some middle aged guy is going to spend 12k to hang it up on his wall after playing Seek and Destroy for 3 hours.
Now that's a demo done right. Epic effort, thank-you. The equipment chain is a nice touch. Kudos. Such an amazing medley, it would be nice to have the time stamps detailed as well as I predict a significant number of people will be returning to this video to see specific riffs. Nevertheless...keep 'em coming! BTW I particulary miss the 'sound like - by BREAKING the bank.' Love the boutique stuff.
It’s pretty obvious why. They’re meant for the collectors. I mean come on, obviously this guitar wasn’t some metal masterpiece instrument when it was made in the 70’s. But it WAS used to write/play metal masterpieces and some people want a piece of that history. I LOVE Metallica and even if I had enough money I wouldn’t buy one. But someone will and that’s the answer to your question. To your point I think it’d be way cooler to buy an old one like you mentioned, and spec it to the Kirk version oneself. I mean wouldn’t that be cool to say you did that? Anyway, you make a great point but this day in age there are options for everyone, so why not let the person who earned a fortune spend one on a guitar that makes them feel closer to their favorite band? Gibson has lost all respect from me as a current brand but I can appreciate this on its own.
For the same reason people pay 3x for an Adam Jones Custom Shop instead of buying a 79 LP custom and swapping the pickup and doing small changes to the wiring. I also can’t understand why you would actually buy something that is not actually what they play instead of buying the real deal and playing the exact same guitar these blokes play for 1/3 or less the price.
This is the best demo Anderton's has ever had , well done Jamie 🤘🤘
Thank you! 👊 🙇♂️
Ever?
@@JamieSlays Hopefully they sent you home with one of these!
NOT
@@JamieSlays🫡🤟🤟

Big fan of Jamie!
This channel needs more metal and more Jamie!

Absolutely !Greetings from France,Y’all !✌🏻
Killer tone and playing, you just can't beat a humbucker into a drive into a Marshall, guaranteed great sound every time!
It helps that the man’s hands are absolute weapons 🤘🤘
Holy crap, that medley was awesome! The sound was spot on! One of the best Metallica covers on youtube, great work!

Goddamn… this is INCREDIBLE!! And people wonder why Metallica are as huge as they are… those riffs, by god!!
JamieSlays sure did justice to his name . More of this please @Andertons
Thank you! 🎉
Hell of an arrangement! Really well done! Then again, didn’t we all do some version of this in our bedrooms as kids? 😆
20+ years of doing it, still a blast to pull out these oldies 😅
@@derekwoods8199 agreed. They are epic and still get my full attention.
not this well

Thank you :) I loved the tone also
@@JamieSlaysdo you remember the settings on the SC20H?
Didn't expect to see such a rocking review video from Andertons. I thought Pete and the Captain were gonna play some blues on the V. Good job Jamie
Thank you :) 🎉🎉🎉

Love Jamie doing the demo!
@JamieSlays with Andertons is theeee best!!! AMAZING WORK YOU GUYS!!! HOLY WOWOWOWWWWZAAAA
So tight Jamie! What an experience. More Jamie and Andertons please!
The only V I’ve ever wanted to own because of of Kirk.
$14k….. that’ll get some young kids playing guitar….
😂😂😂
Nobody ever thinks of the poor middle aged dentists who grew up as Metallica fans. Finally an instrument for them to hang on the wall!!
@@michaelj63won't somebody think to the Dentist!
@@blankfrank985 and here I thought I was cool and down with the kids.
Ach, those kids should start a paper round (selling crack)
Andertons, you did good here showing the signal chain for a someone isn't great at tone showing this is great.

Medley selection and playing was 🔥. I‘ll add this guitar to the list of guitars that I want but I‘ll never afford😢
very expected from jamie to slay however guys who did this arrangement deserve alot of credit
i did the arrangement also :D with my good friend @unluckyxvii
Beast-mode right hand. Nice work, Jamie!
Dude fuck the guitar, that tone kicks ass man. That 20W JCM800 sounds awesome.
It’s a 100w head reissue
@@MuddySumpNo, this is the SC20H, a 20 watt version of the JCM800 intended for studio recording purposes.
I just saw what it said in the video and the link in the description. Can see it’s different now
Anderton's keeps innovating! Well done. Nice to see a different style of music played on Anderton's!
So glad Justice stuff was played. 🤘
Nice to see a guitar wielding thrash metal slow motion walking badass in his summer plumage 🤘☀️🤘
Would be so good to see Jamie do this for more bands!!
Good god that opening sounds amazing.. if I needed reminding what turned me on to metal back around the black album era
13k...
What an authentic bargain!
I tried to guess the price before I clicked the link and was off by the small amount of 5k. They must have used really high quality gaffer tape ;)
@@okmusic6143 'tone tape'
the tone and the playing was on point!
Nice vid.... Me being a 52 yr old retired proctologist this vid inspired me to pick up guitar as a hobby i now have 3 of these hanging on my wall

Really great value for a guitar given the awesome sounding tone wood and pickups. :D :D
Actual 70s and 80s Flying Vs cost half this amount. Why would you buy a reproduction instead of the real thing?
Because this has a poker chip around the output jack, obviously
Just watch those go up in price now 🤪
