  • 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat with 90k miles on the odometer. The brakes were getting a little low and it had some shaking with it while braking. We could not find any rotors so we had them turned to smooth them out. I will put the parts list on the next part of the video for everyone. You have to put it in a brake service mode to remove the rear brakes.

I saw this other guy do it and he said you need a special decompression tool

The rear brakes are a special tool because they are screw in pistons not just the push in type. I think part 2 of the video shows the tool.

Also mine is a hybrid. Is it the same thing? Do I have to disconnect the battery?

It should be the same procedure as the non-hybrid models.

Can i wind it back manually if i disconnect the parking brake connector if it won't go into service mode?

I have never attempted that and I would actually contact your local Ford dealership and ask them if that would work. I am not 100 percent certain of that.

@@operationoverhaul you have to disconnect the electrical comnector to the motor anyway, i kinda figure that it should be safe to take the non-functioning motor and do the twist back?
