    Melissa
    Great relaxing video! That was a very nice and quiet lake you were on. It looked like you were alone on the water. You caught some really nice sized fish towards the end. Winning isn't everything as long as you enjoyed the day! Thanks for the video Lady!
    Fish on! 👍🐟🐟🐟🐟

      Thanks! I was lucky enough to have found a beautiful less-crowded lake for this one!

      I probably need to upgrade my wiring to something nicer.

      I really need to see some improvement in the results, this grind gets really frustrating after years with no success! But that will make it all the much better when I do manage to break through!

    Regardless of the size of the fish (not your fault!) you are catching a lot of them! So your approach is working for you. Thanks for the videos, always interesting to see the sport from your perspective.

    Check your inline fuse to your fish finder. Make sure it’s making good contact. Or even change the fuse. Had an issues with my Lowrance unit. Took the unit and tested it and thought the plug was bad only to find out it was the fuse making a poor connection.

      I’m sorry, but you meant “crankbait”, right? 🤣

    Did you drop anything down to the bases of those standing trees? Glad you were able to enjoy yourself and catch fish on a bunch of baits! Also, those looked like warmouth.

    • @GirlGoneFishing
      @GirlGoneFishing  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I lost so many jigs, ned rigs, wacky worms, crankbaits, and drop shots, without ever getting a bite so I gave up on it after a while. They were probably down there hitting my lures with a fin to wrap them around a branch and then laughing and laughing.

    Throw a swinging football head 3/8 with an adrenaline craw jig. Work the bottom weedless more and some deeper crank baits this time of year as the water gets warmer as an option if the bite is small.

      Can't I just negotiate for a better topwater bite🤣

    I've just gone thru the same thing with my fish finder. Go and get yourself the yak power battery connectors. That fixed all my power issues. Congrats on a good of fishing

    • @GirlGoneFishing
      @GirlGoneFishing  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks! I actually am using YakPower connectors and wiring currently, I don't really blame the products as much as user error because I have no idea how to maintain or repair electrical stuff yet, but I am working on learning so I can handle all this stuff on the road myself.

    If I did my math right, you finished about at the 64th percentile: meaning you did as good or better than 64 percent of your competitors. That's not too bad-considering ALL of them were vying for honors. The important thing (I think) is that you had fun.
    If I were you, I'd carry an additional length of 10 gauge red and black (+ and -) wire (with an appropriate (4 amp?) fuse/holder attached) so you can simply "hard wire" the fish finder power directly to the battery for those times when you experience electrical shorts. It won't be pretty but you won't be without a fish finder that way. And it won't take up much space at all when it's not needed.

      The competitor in me is not happy with those stats! My goal for the season was top 20 consistently and maybe even my first top 3 trophy and I haven't gotten close yet! And good idea on the wire repair, I am accumulating a repair kit to carry in my kayak for all kinds of emergencies and will keep your idea in mind! Thanks!

    I go through 5 or 6 bottles of spike it a season. Absolutely swear by the stuff for finesse rigs.

      I've given up on the bottles since dying my kitchen floor chartreuse, but I LOVE the Spike It Pens!
