Joaquin DESERVES the oscar for this if the movie can do him justice.
He has been nominated several times,but never gotten the Oscar.
I think it will mean a LOT to him as the Final piece in the puzzle of a long career on the silver screen.

This film not only looks incredible...but that trailer has to be one of the finest trailers ever put together. It takes us on a journey, it perfectly envokes everything about the character and tells us everything and nothing at the same time. Perfectly finished with the shots of him walking down that corridor and the music takes a darker twist.

Best trailer reaction yet. You sir deserve an oscar. I have never been a Joker fan until after I watched this trailer myself. What caught my interest was hearing that joaquin phoenix was playing the Joker and knowing how great of an actor he is. This movie can have my money. I'm sold and I know its going to be great!

My eyes became waterfalls when i saw how happy he was with his mother. Cuz you just know he loses her somehow and that seemed to be the one thing that kept him grounded. 😥

Sanity Is Radical there were rumors going around in preproduction that the grill was there because of years losing teeth the Batman’s fist or the more fringe rumor that this Joker was actually Jason Todd and the real joker had knocked all of his teeth out. Had they went with one of those narratives I would have been all for it, but as you said it was just out of place.

This trailer gave me goosebumps... The raw gritty feel, the gradual descent into madness... I'm honestly blown away! Joaquin definitely deserves an Oscar nod. Who knew anyone would create a Scorsese-esque Joker movie?! Bravo DC and WB! This will be a home run and I'm completely psyched for this to hit the big screen...

yeah.. I was like man gonna be a busy spring and summer.. Shazam, End Game, Spiderman, Godzilla, etc. then they drop this on us to wrap up the "season".. I'm am so stoked. I think the best was saved for last. Love the Joker, Love Joaquin.. Probably going to be the best halloween movie ever.. Not going to lie first time seeing this teaser, I actually had a tear in my eye.. Visually it looks incredible, Joaquin just shows excellence and just finally seeing where this version of Joker comes from, the psych side of it. Man... Oct. can't get here fast enough...

They should "shutter island" this movie, in the sense that this origin story is all him making it up. maybe the movie starts him natarating his origin story to his therapist/us, then at the end lets us know that it was all a lie, he kills the therapist escapes the hospital and kills bruce wayne parents.. BOOYA!

Being honest what most people don’t understand is that it’s demonstrating how they express the portrayal of the character mentally. It describes like, what drove him to just go insane. the film is more than him being bullied by people as he performs and he falls into a pit of chemicals and kills everyone. This is Taxi Driver for 2019. So jacked up to see this. Terrific reaction as well. Joaquin Phoenix almost has me forgetting how great Heath Ledger was as JOKER. Almost...rooting he wins the Oscar, G.GLOBE...ect..ect...

I was floored when I first saw the trailer. If the movie is as good as the trailer looks then it surely has to be in the running for the Oscars. I've seen a lot of people mention this, and I have to agree, that it really gives off a Taxi Driver and Falling Down sort of vibe. Can't wait to see this.

People keep saying you can't predict that the movie will be awesome just based on these few trailer scenes, but man, as long as the movie contains these parts of the trailer, I'm good! Couldn't agree more! I'm giddy with anticipation for this...the trailer is so beautifully tragic and creepy and dirty and weird. Phoenix IMHO is probably even more on point as an actor to play the Joker than Ledger. He might be even better. Not that it's a contest, but we'll see.

The child is definitely Bruce Wayne. His dad Thomas Wayne is on TV. Joker is about 12-15 years older than Bruce, so maybe makes Joker 30 years of age in this.
Martin Scorsese is one of the producers on this movie, and you can see nods to his films like Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy which stars Robert DeNiro who plays the Comedy Club host in this movie. It also plays on A Killing Joke graphic novel origin story of the Joker. His descent into madness and his transformation to the "agent of chaos". I think Beatz might be Harly Quinn, though. If she calls Phoenix "Mr. J" it's a done deal. Take my money now WB/DC!
I've all wasted loved DC more than marvel and with there recent line up of movies I hope that DC gets the love they deserve
