    1. If your partner is struggling to hit a good, strong return, start back at the baseline to take pressure off of them
    2. If they hit a strong return cross court, quickly move forward and attack

EXCELLENT tip coach Ryan! How about if my partner has a weak serve, and they are blasting returns. Is it good for both of us to start back, and then move in? Keep up the great content coach Ryan!!

Yes absolutely. Starting both back as the serving and returning team helps when you’re opponents are dominating the beginning of the point. Thanks!!

Question for Friday: When you run around your backhand to hit a forehand moving backwards, do you use your outside leg or for example: your right leg if you’re a righty or your left leg? I’ve also been told to do this when I was moving backwards but don’t know which leg to use and ended up being jammed on a fast, deep ball.

Hey Ryan, always watch and enjoy your videos! Question, weak server and parter returns deep so we both move up to poach or put away next shot. But, weak server has a good lob and tends to drop it on the baseline behind me. Should I stay on the service line instead of moving forward?

Yes. Keep your toes on the service line (think of it that way so you don’t move in too far) so that you can hit an overhead at the server’s partner. They’ll have less time to react so you always aim overheads to the person closer to you.
