Thank you for so many interst. detales and strategy, in my view R could make a better shots after ball balance under net - instead of volley?

There are a lot of criticism on player who hit the last volley in the returning team. I want to give him a break. He was in good position but the other team just make a ridiculously good angle shot from a ball landed on the baseline. That was a super low percentage shot. Give the credit to that shot but don't blame too much about the volleyer.

Guy with white baseball cap backwards aka net player, is it just me or does he seem to spend too much time watching partner than the opponents? Seems like almost he is too relaxed playing college tennis.

I’ve included him in many of my videos and he’s a pretty laid back player. He’s high energy though. Thanks!!!

Returner made at least two bad mistakes. After the lob, he should have moved a couple of feet in front of the service line because the service team is retreating and if they put up another lob, it would have to be a high lob and there would be plenty of time to backup and cover. Had he been properly positioned, he could easily angle the put away volley. It was clearly wrong. His partner played smarter positioning being in front of the service line. Second mistake was after making a deep baseline shot, he is still too far back to again be in position for the put away and instead had to stretch and stab at the volley for a short sitter, which the service team covers for the easy put away. I think that Cal player is not the smartest tennis player or he is afraid of the net and you have to wonder why he is even playing doubles. If I were his partner, I would chew him out. That was just idiotic.
