At first, we have the NUX MG-400. If you've been following NUX's development, you know that they take great delight in democratising access to anything from amplifiers to electronic drum kits, and that includes multi-effects units. They just released the MG-400, which, in all honesty, might be their best pedal to date. This feature-rich modeller is driven by NUX's renowned White-Box Amp Modeling algorithm and builds on the foundation set by the MG-300. Even better, the MG-400's scene feature enables you to create "snapshots" within a preset for quick recall of numerous effects, which is ideal for guitarists who perform live. Overall, the NUX MG-400 is a ridiculously potent multi-effects device that much exceeds its price range.
Next is Line 6 Helix LT. Line 6 has now made it simpler for you if the cost of this high-end unit had previously deterred you. In this iteration, certain amenities have undoubtedly had to be sacrificed in order to achieve the necessary cost savings, but the designers seem to have done a great job of concentrating on and keeping the necessities. The LT is undoubtedly slightly lighter than its older sibling by little over a kilogramme, most likely due to a bent steel chassis as opposed to the original's extruded aluminium chassis. Additionally, it is significantly narrower than the original. The biggest visual distinction is that each footswitch's current functions are now shown in a "Performance View" on the main display screen instead of the little LCD scribbling strips that were previously below the footswitches. Also, the LT opts for a single huge knob as opposed to the Helix's dual-volume headphone and overall output knobs. Likewise, you could recall settings or turn on and off effects with the footswitches' quick toggling between Preset and Stomp modes.
Next up, we have the Boss GX-100. User experience is crucial for successful design in the twenty-first century, and the cutting-edge GX-100 is intended to give Boss an edge in this area. To begin with, it borrows a feature from our smartphone and has a touchscreen. More than 150 different effects types are there in addition to the 23 amp models, you can also use up to 15 assignable blocks to construct your own sounds and save them to any of the 200 available preset spaces. A looper is also available, delivering 19 seconds in stereo and 38 seconds in mono. More choices are available on the unit's back, including the ability to operate it in mono or stereo, attach headphones, use MIDI and Bluetooth, integrate a pedalboard via a pair of send/return ports, and connect an external expression pedal or two external footswitches. The latter will require an adaptor, but it will let you stream audio and manipulate noises. Not to mention, there is a USB connection for editing with the Boss Tone Studio software or home recording to your computer.

I have the Boss GX100. Very satisfied with this unit. Amazing what $600 gets you these days.
Nothing beats Boss multi effects..
Good review! (Idle thought) I wonder if it would make sense to add a “colourless” amp that would just emulate the peddle board. If so what would that amp be?
Hope it's better than the 300 hudge time delay changing stomp. And distortion crap
I was thinking.. if some liquid drops on that touch screen, playing in bars or similar events. I world apreciate any experience shared. Cheers people
lol wont do much ive spilled beer all over mine
It is important to have multi with FXloop when you want to use it with amp ;)
How come
@@johnhennessey5 Because certain effects sound terrible in the front of an amplifier. As a rule of thumb, guitar effects that are time-dependent (modulation) go in an effect loop. Typically: chorus, tremolo, delay and reverb pedal. And you can't run a boost or overdrive in the loop section as you risk damaging your precious valve amplifier. Hence, when buying a multi-effects pedal, it MUST support a split of effects AND the 4 cables method of plugging it to an amplifier. In this promotional video, there's ZERO information on this. hence it's a shitty video made by someone who probably never played guitar or played too much with his own flute. aka a wanker.
Nice vid.
If you want top notch, go with fractal
1980s rackmount Rockman Schultz
It is SCHOLZ not "Schultz"
Shoulz have known that 😂
NUX Trident beats em all in functionality and practicality
Is the Nux mg400 newer than the Mg30
No, the mg 30 is the latest modell. I had both, I prefer the mg 400, and cost only 208 Euros from Thomann.
It's NU-X (New X) not Knucks..
Where is Kemper ,quad cortex, boss gt 1000 and axe fm 9, axe fx 3 in the list??
And ToneX
@@Robert_Fordintonex isn’t a multi-effects pedal
@@iurigrang
Indeed. I mean Hotone Ampero.
Quad Cortex is way out of the budget.
It is pronounced NEW -X not "NUCKS" and they have since released the Trident model that is excellent!
headrush wins
also I think U should add some more like hotone ampero mp-100 and flamma fx200.
and for nux in my opinion the mg-30 is their best product
You mean 300?
@@Fadlijak40 NUX MG-30 is way better than MG 300.
@@Fadlijak40 Nah, NU-X's sales and marketing department don't know what they are doing... The MG-30 is NU-X flagship processor...and a really good one at that
@@PrettyLittleDitty2089 Also twice the price, so it should be
You don’t have fractal listed which tells me they didn’t want to pay you for mentioning them … lame on your part.
