I love how Barry literally gives his guests 5 seconds to respond to his question before destroying them.
I think I have a theory about that because in a previous episode he has stated that no matter where he is 🎵In the city-ah I'm never more than 5 seconds away from a gun🎵

I don't think most people realize how impressive it is how quickly JT jumps into harmony with Jimmy when Jimmy just picks whatever key to start singing. JT is the real deal.
They have this thing called “rehearsals” the day before and the day of the show....
@@michaeln2745 I'm a musician, I understand how rehearsal works. I didn't hear Jimmy establish a key before singing "Governor Bill Richardson". Maybe he did and I missed it, but if not, they either both have perfect pitch so they didn't have to audibly establish key beforehand, which would already be impressive, or JT just jumped in really quick, which is also super impressive.

Truly, it is a great comedic relationship. His harmonies are consistently great across all the episodes where Jimmy breaks his character. You can see him cupping in several "episodes" because he wants to get the harmony right.
I can do the same thing very easily. It just becomes habit when youve harmonized with voices for a long time. ....or having perfect pitch helps a lot too.
I love how in every one of these sketches Barry is from a different part of Australia lol

No she's hiding behind her wig. Cameron Diaz was the host that week and Drew Barrymore was a surprise guest so the audience didn't know she was in the sketch. That's why we hear them react when he introduces Ann Coulter. Drew was facing away/down that whole time.

@Bleech606 For sure it's based on Clive Anderson and maybe also on his R&R HOF speech where he said they'd suffered by being disrespected by the industry and media. And in interviews he always reminded everyone of all the hits he'd written for other people. Heck Robin did that just as much as Barry did if not more! Robin actually talked a lot as the years went by. So no Barry isn't really like he is in this sketch but it's very funny.

Fallon only gets shit because of how talented he is. Idgaf if he breaks sometimes or plays goofy games on his show. He is wicked talented and born to do what he does.

You should look into English satire, it's miles funnier than American satire. Pretty dark though.
Not always. There is lots of bad british satire out there as well.
Of course there are exceptions, as with pretty much everything.

I noticed something yesterday. The white guitar that Jimmy Fallon/Barry Gibb uses is the same model I have (Epiphone Dot Studio). That's what mine looked like before I changed the tuners, added some decal art and upgraded the humbucker pickups.

I am personally grateful for this series of skits Bc I was introduced to the original song “Nights on Broadway” by the amazing Bee Gees and I am grateful to have witnessed such an amazing work of art that would have otherwise probably gone unwitnessed for my entire life.
