It's funny that Fallon is known for breaking character often but he NEVER breaks doing this skit, which is also the most absurd and hilarious character he has done on the show.
He also rarely broke during his Celebrity Jeopardy appearances which are also quite absurdist
That is because he actually does very well when he is motivated by friends in the sketch, and or trying to break them lol all jimmy is thinking about im sure is making justin laugh
It's because he doesn't feel the need to steal focus in skits that are mostly focused on him.
I was expecting JT to say something in Jimmy's ear to force him to break...
I wanted another street mascot rap battle...
The most hilarious? Its him being loud. It wasn't even funny

@@ramirezproductions0826 I watched it for the first time yesterday at my job. I work at a daycare and the two years love Bluey. I had only heard of the show last year. I am 31 with no kids yet. And my 8 nieces and nephews are all too old for Bluey.
I really wish they would stop putting Kenan Thompson in every skit. He's just not funny! He has no comedic range. Always the same thing over and over.

It's so funny seeing Dakota trying not to break throughout the whole sketch only to break almost immediately when she gets addressed.

She didn't break, she's just a terrible actress. It's like they grabbed someone's mom out of the audience 30 minutes before the show.
@avatar3071 💯 this sketch is ALWAYS funny and it was the BEST part of the show. she was horrible during every live skit. the recorded ones were bareable. she was being the same character she always portrays on film. Like the nepotism baby sketch. she's just being her with lil to no changes- just saying the lines as herself. I know every one's isn't a comedian but even in the monologs it wasn't great.

This is the type of skit that I feel Justin and Jimmy would do even if their weren't cameras present. I think that's why it works so well. They're just goofing around and we are lucky enough to enjoy it.

I was kind of sad watching this knowing Robin is gone and Barry is the only Gibb brother left.
They did a sketch about a year after Robin died. That was the one Barry Gibb himself appeared in.

The technical term is "rehearsal."
Sometimes there are multiple recordings with different audiences and oftentimes they'll choose the best outcome for each skit.
I can watch these sketches over and over again, but I think this one might have made me laugh the most. 🤣🤣🤣

Wait, you're aware this is a recurring sketch right? It started back when Jimmy was a cast member and Justin was a frequent host. They last did it 10 years ago with the real Barry Gibb appearing at the end

I literally woke up singing this and was thinking how cool if Jimmy and Justin just did some 70's songs to bring them back. JT can do anything and Jimmy is quite talented in music. Together amazing. I can't believe it's been 10 years either! I'm 100% down for this also!

@@kencooper3481 Hey Ken, wasn't looking for laughs, I genuinely think it would be a fun collection of covers to have of the two of them do. Jimmy totally overdoes it in my opinion but we can't all be perfect. I never laughed the first time but was thoroughly entertained. A lot of people are not nuanced enough to see that SNL is a variety show that happens to be funny sometimes, other times, its just entertainment and criticize it too harshly because they are expecting side splitting humor. Bandwagoning and bashing SNL for personal expectations of first class comedy is a dead road. It is what it is and if it happens to make someone chuckle, hey it's a win for everyone.

Respectfully disagree. This combination has been among my favorite SNL skits in the 40-plus years I've watched SNL. Jimmy is a chameleon with impersonations. I remember the time on his Tonight Show when he sang Neil Young's Old Man, then Neil came on stage to sing it with Jimmy. Fantastic . . . . And Justin pulls off Robin to perfection. I'm certain that Barry enjoys the skits, too.

Jimmy's not my cup of tea, but this skit never fails to make me laugh. It's the same couple bits over and over, but they're always funny. The anticipation of waiting to see when his voice is gonna go up during his question gets me every time.
