The random falsettos 😂😂😂😂
😂
“U.S. ECONOMAAAYYYY!” 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
I’m surprised Fallon doesn’t just continue this sketch on his show every now and then. It’s easily his best performance as it’s genuinely funny and one of the only times he isn’t breaking character.
I honestly thought he would do it again when he was hosting SNL and Harry Styles was the musical act in 2018. But he didn't.
I think it's because the youth don't know who Barry Gibb is. People born in the 1990s are probably the last to remember the BeeGees because of that huge 70s nostalgia boom in the late 90s- early 2000s. I swear I don't even remember what was on TV in 1999 because I had TV land. It was all MASH and Happy Days for this guy. What was on TV at the time Dharma and Greg?
@@forty_two42 and this is just sad to me. Barry Gibb and all those brothers are just huge players. Regardless of whether or not you know who they are per se, EVERYONE knows Stayin’ Alive. Everyone has heard it. These are the guys who made it.
Maybe because he died
@Take That not Jimmy..barry Gibb
Still watching this in 2023 and it cracks me up each and every time
2024 I still have to watch it. Also when Kenan does Victor Willis of Village People
Just watched this one and I haven't seen it before. Hilarious!
Looks like Fallon was intentionally trying to crack Justin up when he begged him to look at him and "say something." The best part!
I swear that was ad libbed haha
I would throw up from laughing lol
so this is what his song “Say something” was about
This is one of the most underrated SNL skits of all-time. This is the best of the Barry Gibbs Talk Show skits
To this day, this is still one of the funniest concepts ever. 70s Barry Gibb aggressively talks about current politics. Outfrigginstanding.
And Barry Gibb himself says he loved it and thinks it’s funny. But he said when Robin was in the US he told him about it but he never heard of it (Robin lived in the UK most of the times) and that Robin didn’t get it all. Too bad, because loved comedy. But Barry has lived here for many, many years and he gets it. In fact, Barry has duel UK and US citizenship and has for many years now. He said this is where he wanted to raise his kids, and he did.
Lmaoooo
Gold
As great as the singing and dancing is -- and Fallon and Timberlake have great chemistry together - the speaking voice is such an inspired concept and is executed perfectly.
Cannot stop watching this. The intromusic is so addicting
lindkvistan Nights on Broadway by The Bee Gees
+lindkvistan got the same, I watch a piece of this on a daily basis
+Abdullah Al-maiyah sure thing, but the new text is pretty addictive as well.
I can't watching it either.....it is one of my fave SNL skits....in this one the 'curr...eeent ee cc on omic craaasiss' had me in stitches in particular.
lindkvistan *addictive
It's funny that this is the only sketch Jimmy doesn't crack up on, yet no one else can keep a straight face.
not really THE ONLY sketch he doesn't crack up, but it is funny that he's the only one who can keep a straight face during these.
and yes he also cracked up in one of gibb shows
Yeah I agree.👍

Jimmy Fallon doesnt crack up as much as people say, but to be fair, he was probably in some of the most famous sketches in the show's history and most would break character in those situations. Bill Hader breaks character just as much as Fallon and doesn't get nearly as much shit.
Robin never has anything to add. LOL. These skits are hilarious. Love all of them. Fallon is a genius.
No. No he doesn’t.
😂😂😂😂
These sketches are about 20 times funnier than they have any right to be.
😅🤣😂🤣😅✋😅🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Right? Its like its not even that funny but its hilarious!
@@vm1ccc Might be an unpopular comment, but Jimmy Fallon doing skits and any singing, dancing, or changing characters is heads above his interviewing skills. He and Justin pair well anytime they r together.
@@vm1ccc hhhhhhhhh
Lolz. Timberlake as robin gibb is just.... right.
Plz talk to ya brother Barry. Im crying...
OMG, when they sang the "Double Dutch" song and did the Double Dutch simulation, I was just rollin' on the floor, laughing my culo off!!! And the way they sang the Double Dutch song, so harmonious!!! 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
'I got a degree from the streets of Melbourne, Australia' LOL
"i was born in the isle of man not the isle of boy".
I think the Gibb family moved to Brisbane Australia; I dont think it was Melbourne, although that might have been later on..... So therefore Barry has a 2nd degree from the streets.
They moved to Brisbane from England but their not australian
Don’t forget the blade in his shoe :)
He grew up in Redcliffe in Brisbane from my understanding. They even have a lane named after them now :)
Props to the makeup artist and costume designer for JT. This Robin wig is more realistic than in previous skits. They both do a great job impersonating the Gibb brothers.
It's beyond great but it's more exaggerating them than impersonating them.
Singing the intro to this all day to the wife in quarantine... Got me in trouble. Now I'm sleeping on the couch
🤦🏻♂️🤣😂🤣😂👍
Time to get a new wife.
You could be sleeping in jail if you had sung "wear your carcass like a rain coat" or "double dutch jump rope with your innards"!!!
Ah yes- good point. Maybe she needs a new husband!

"Are you out of your motherloving, dope-smoking, hippy mind?!" 🤣
I never get tired of watching these. Justin and Jimmy are simply phenomenal.
This is probably my favorite sketch of all time, and I’ve been watching SNL since 1975.
It really is.
It's up there with several others involving: Eddie, Farley, Akroyd, Ferrell/Oteri, Ferrell, Keenan, Hartman,...
💯
Still the BEST skit that SNL has ever done...I can watch this a thousand times and still crack up laughing!😂
@Take That You're saying he gets out a lot? So you agree :)
I love that he's from a different city in each sketch
Fallon's motivation is to make Timberlake crack.
"Please talk to your brother, and say what you want to say...."
He succeeded beautifully.
😅😂🤣

thats the best part. i love it.
He sounded a lot like Barry when he sang it, too!
So here's the story for those of you too young, or not in the know. Back in 1997, The Bee Gee's were being interviewed by Clive Anderson on his show, All Talk. Americans may not be able to follow the fast banter, but Clive was being a real heat merchant. I think Barry found it funny for the first ten minutes, but he just kept hurling insults at the brothers. Clive thought he was being funny, but I guess Barry had had enough. In reality, Barry did not yell or say anything rude. He just said "In fact, I might just leave".... The audience and Clive laughed, but within a second or two they realized he was serious, as he and Robin got up, took off their microphones and walked off, leaving a confused, but typical Maurice behind. But Maurice, too, then got up to leave. This whole sketch, which was done several times on SNL, was just a way to lampoon this classic event. Barry is a very nice sweet guy-- as they each are/were. But here, I agree with his wanting to walk off. They were beyond legends by 1997 and did not need to sit there and be roasted as if they were some weird fly-by-nights or newcomers. As far as why they make Justin's Robin character so quiet is more of a lampoon on the fact that in nearly every interview over the years, Barry talks the most. Robin and Maurice always deferred to him as the older brother. But Robin was actually a true intellectual. He loved good conversation-- especially if it was about history; which was his favorite subject. I would have loved to have seen Maurice in this skit, but sadly, he was already deceased by then. No matter what, I think these skits are absolutely hilarious! First time I saw them, I split my sides. The way Fallon imitates Barry's singing voice as his speaking voice is just total comedy gold!
I saw the interview. I’m an American. I got it. Wasn’t difficult to hear/see what was happening there. Cheers, mate!
Thank you
Thank you so much for the information, knowing this makes this skit even funnier!
Good breakdown. Just want to add. The interview was really awful. He kept jabbing at how they fell out back in the 70's. Using the songs they created when they were split and all. It was so far out of good taste to hit them with that as jokes.
Thank you sir
I lost it when he jumped up into his chair 🤣🤣
Never gets old...never.
Timberlake KILLS IT as Robin Gibb!!😂😂😂😂
Who's here after watching Bee Gee's documentary on HBO? They had Justine Timberlake in the doc it was great. When they did Nights on Broadway I died .... could only think of this sketch.
Especially when Robin puts his finger on his ear to sing.
The best part is when he tries to reach out to his brother. It's so touching and funny.
Because Barry and Robin fought the most.
Barry said they fought all the way until Robin died.
In fact,he was fighting with Maurice and Andy too at the time of their deaths.
@@jaysinger9941 - Barry had too much ego I think.
@@susieq7401 what is that supposed to mean?
@@jaysinger9941 why did Barry and Robin fought the most, and why did Barry and Maurice and Andy fought before they died ,was it a physical fight or what, tell me I'm interested to know
@@afreakaboucher1316
Barry fought with Andy by a phone call.
He was telling Andy to get his act together,
and take charge of his career,
and to man up because he couldn’t carry him anymore, etc.
After that,Andy died on March 10th,1988.
----------------------
The situation with Maurice,
Barry just said that they weren’t talking.
Then Maurice as you know got sick,
and died after his surgery from a
twisted
intestine on January 12th,2003.
Barry and Robin were at his bedside with
Maurice’s wife and children when he died.
-----------------------
Now with Robin,
Barry said that they fought for years.
Robin even left the group from 1969 until
late 1970 because the label chose Barry’s song
to be a single, and not his.
Barry said that they both wanted to be the attention in the group.
That’s why Maurice was the peacemaker,
and broke up all of their fights.
After they lost Maurice,
their fighting increased to the point that they rarely performed with each other.
They only performed together about two or three times after Maurice died.
Then Robin got sick with cancer,
but didn’t tell Barry,
and died on May 20th,2012.
Barry went to Robin’s bedside and sang to him shortly before his death,
but Robin was in a coma.
Every time I hear this Bee Gees intro song it's stuck in my head for 3 days!
Barry is talkin' it up on the Barry Gibb talk show and Robin is listenin' it up

Justin Timberlake makes a surprisingly good Robin Gibb.

My fav SNL skit of all time. Wish they did more.
The fact that they made a legitimately Bee Gees style song just for the intro is ridiculous and hilarious
The Barry Gibb Talk Shows are my my favorite SNL skits.
HILARIOUS 😂 Jimmy Fallon is off the hook accurate.
It is funny for the entire sketch......I think it is my favorite skit that SNL has ever done.
I'm making playlist with just Barry Gibb sketches
These are the most hilarious skits, they do such a good job imitating Robin & Barry with crazy, funny exaggeration.
This may be the most hilarious skit of all time. I'm a musician, singer, song writer and this skit has cracked me up all of my life since it's inception.
the intro song is so infectious lol , these two are great in this sketch
It’s a real Bee Gees song they just changed the lyrics
3:59 He's literally just doing that to make him crack hahaha
I heard 'Nights on Broadway' while I was in Walmart last week. I turned to my mom and said 'All I can imagine is the Barry Gibb Talk Show theme'
But first you said to her "Well I'm gonna TAAAALK to you..." right? ;-)
That's funny cause I was at the grocery store a few nights ago and the same thing happened.
Especially love the one where Barry shows up at the end.❤
How they do this skit with a straight face is a miracle.
Whoever is sing falsetto in the background is the funniest character in the skit...
If you mean during the intro song I believe it is Barry. I don’t know anyone else that could do it.
Sounds like it’s Barry, yes! He could go a step forward 😂

Still laughing at this. After all these years. Fallon is a classic comic
JT and Fallon perform yet another classic Bee Gees skit. And kudos to Kristen Wig- one of the few actors to use an authentic sounding Baltimore accent! Most actors can’t nail it like that 🤙
So I know there is Beantown, Jersey, NYC mafiosi accent, all from movies. Actually i used to know guy from Buffalo who had a local accent. So I’m in Cincinnati and I don’t hear a accent, just boring national tv American English. I could be wrong though. So what is Baltimore or Milwaukee or Chicago….accent? In old movies I do hear eastern US aristocratic accent that to my ears is close to British accent. I resent simpletons making fun of foreign accents- those people are at the very least bilingual.
Wha? Nancy Pelosi's from San Francisco.
Kristen Wiig* ...
@@carmensandiego7749 Her political homebase is SF, but NP was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. You do not get rid of that accents easily when you move away.

"Googoo...gaga...googoo...wahwah" hahahaha

The intro is addictive, yes, but when he loses it is the best part by far.
I'd watch those two in anything forever. Bet Jimmy achieved his goal making Justin break character. Can feel the love. Maybe he will bring it back as a treat on his show. I agree
This is one of my favourite SNL skits, they should do it again!
Their “crazy gold medallions” are split BFF necklaces. 😂

I think Justin should seriously think about growing/straightening his hair like this and getting Robin Gibb veneers permanently on his teeth. He is so much more appealing as Robin Gibb.
This is so beyond hilarious
