I keep seeing people saying Battle League preserves the "edgy" style of the older games, but honestly I don't really see it? Maybe like conceptually with it being brutal and flashy and having promo art in the same art style but watching just these alone the edginess is way more intense. Battle League looks a lot cleaner and safe. Still more personality than the new mario golf and tennis games but like just barely enough to be recognizable as Mario Strikers instead of just some random Mario soccer game. We haven't seen enough of it yet though to tell so I'll stay optimistic until then!
