The mod is built on a difficulty curve so while the earlier kingdoms do seem easier, that was intentional as further in the moons get very hard.

Technically Kaizo just means “rearranged”, so if anything those are the most kaizo moons of all
i want a mod that makes the moons severely inconvenient. Not that much harder, just inconvenient and annoying.
Jump rope but it takes 10,000 jumps.

I think cj forgot that kaizo just means modification or reconfigured. Some of the moons aren’t meant to be super hard, just a bit different
kaizo specifically means its a difficultly hack/rom/mod.
@@sandviper5339 that’s just not true. kaizo is an actual Japanese word and what I said is the actual definition. It had gained the connotation culturally to be very difficult, but it’s not required
Cool japanese trivia but the word has taken on a different meaning in this community to specifically mean difficult, especially unfairly so. It's not really fair to say he forgot a meaning that isn't the one that's generally understood

Fun fact: Kaizo is actually Japanese for “rearranged,” but due to the nature of how the word relates to the game, people refer to it as “harder” instead.
Cj 41:17 you are meant to vault triple throw, throw cappy left or right of you before u wall jump so you do another triple throw and get to the lower building and yes ik that cj can’t down throw

In the beginning you skip to the part when you're already at the top. Idk how others feel but the whole reason I clicked this vid was to see satisfying technical mario odyssey movement, that part was skipped.
It’s always weird how moderately difficult hacks get the Kaizo name while actual Kaizo hacks get names like “Super Doot Sunshine”

Speedrun Idea: Shuffle% All the kingdoms are shuffled. If Cascade is in Ruined's place, the bosses swap too. The dragon goes to Cascade, and Madame Broode goes to Ruined. Try to beat the game sub 2 hours.
this seems less like kaizo odyssey and more like "mildly annoying odyssey"
besides a couple of instances of needing to use a trickjump or speedrun route it seems like most of it is like barely any harder
Superstar mode took a lot of the good ideas to be fair

I still get PTSD from the Mario Sunshine Kaizo, the war crime of 3d Mario mods. Some of those levels are straight up inhuman, I used save states and it was *still* borderline impossible.
The mechawiggler bug is why the outside of metro kingdom isn't changes in superstar mode.
mod idea: mario odyssey but nothing is unnecessary, inspired off of the mario maker 2 level "1-1 but nothing is unnecessary" where the game has the minimal amount of objects, ground and moons required to beat the game

Challenge every time someone donates 10 bucks you have to pet tanooki 10 times but if someone donates more than 10 you have to pet him how many $ they put you must also shown IT being pet we need proof (and we wanna see the cat :3) (if someone sends 500$ it plays with you for the whole run)
To be completely honest, a lot of these moons seem more needlessly annoying than genuine skill challenges.
I'mma be that guy: Kaizo doesn't mean really hard, It means the level or game has been remixed.
It just so happens that the best level creators are also very good at the game, and people usually like making things that can match their skill level.
This means that the people making kaizo more often than not add difficulty.
fundamentally, it does equate to Kaizo = hard, but it's a little different.
Hopefully, someone who didn't know learned somefin from reading this.
