Dude, I’ve had mine for 12 years... none of those issues have appeared. This is typical neglect issues.
Good to hear. I’ve had mine for a little over a year now.
How many miles have you put on yours sir
Cody Jackson about 6k
It's not neglect issues it's true issues. My g8 gt sits in a garage. I haven't had the ram air inlets fall out or the interior problems. But the rest yes and the rest brake harness.
I have none of the issues that are mentioned. You can just tell that that car is garbage and not maintained. That is the most random video with him doing stuff. Plus I can't take someone seriously that says mines instead of mine. Seriously.
Well, all I know that every G8 in Cali is gonna have all of these lmao
I saw this car a few weeks ago here in San Antonio! Looked great nice to see another g8 with custom touches around here!
Thanks 🦾💯!
Thanks for bringing us yet another vibe 🥂 enjoyed
Yes sirr
Glad you been blessed have you been keeping up with the channel big news fam
Hell Yeahh. I watch every video.
Liner sag, spoiler popping off, base of front seats breaking open, and sewn areas of door handles unraveling are common problems with yours. Front end/suspension problems are common as well. Spent $1800 last spring getting new struts and ball joints along with new brakes. Still love this car after 12 years though. Engine still runs great!
That’s an awesome looking splitter!
good content dude. Considering a G8 for my next car. Hope the daughter and puppy are good!
I would hold out a lil longer on getting a G8 right now. Prices are ridiculous lol
Look out for door moulds and front window moulds. They crack and your interior will start getting fogged up. As per my picture I have a VE SS Commodore.
I had mine since 2010 I now have 195k. I have redone my headliner in suede and I had my seats done with suede inserts but I didn’t experience those other issues
I wanna do suede eventually! Sounds pretty cool.
My seat controls are like that too 😂
What up bro, just subscribed!! You mind telling me where you bought your hood vents?
Thanks for subbing. I got them from eBay.
Bro you are on point with all these issues I’ve had all these lol great job 👏🏼
🦾 thought i was alone
I can one up you I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am 3.4 V6 with a 169,000 on it for 17 years old been holding up pretty well got some things wrong with it for its age mostly cosmetic issues but still runs and shifts through every gear no problem
Bought my G8 new in 08. Now has 109k on it now.
Mine had the hood scoop and front seat trim issue have replaced seat trim part three times. Sagged headliner. Cloth seats though still look like new. Glad I didn’t get leather.
Slight bumper sag but it’s not hard to fix.
So, yeah, a few things
Still love my car, though, it’s still great
I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am with the 3.4 V6 and has 169,000 on it cars been holding up pretty well for its age I recently had to get the fuel pressure regulator replaced cause I was having stalling issues and the car will have to be repainted soon but that can wait
Im currently really wanting to purchase a G8 GT as of now i drive a 2008 Impala SS and i love it! especially how rare they are here in San antonio TX .
Been having my G8 got 5+ years now. Great car. Has it issues just like any other car.
@@Moe_Nation absolutely! I’m gonna keep my eyes peeled so I can join the club.
Mine also came split super bad so I had get the front bumper replaced
This car is my dream car I’m in Australia where there made, I’m going to try my hardest to get a Pontiac front body kit for my ve omega consider you’re self lucky you guys get hood cut outs and the better looking body kit. We gotta put up with extreme weather and occasional kangaroo (picture a 200kg 8 ft football player that jumps and kicks) love this car
Haha 🦘 🦾
Before I got my gto I was abt to buy a g8 but it wasn't a gt so now when I do find my g8 i know the extras to look for 💪
Yes sirrr 🦾🦾
I have a base g8 and you made the good decision going with the gto. The g8 is a fantastic car but a V8 is a necessity
Im really interested in getting one soon, what else could i look at while looking for one? also how many miles is to many which is probably hard because i’m also not trying to spend more than 20k on one even tho i’m stupid broke
Thinking bout getting one day, but one that's been stocked of course. 🤔
Just subbed great work
🦾🦾
To fix your belts from falling off change your pulley
My 2008 V6 G8 has check engine light. Was an O2 sensor and coolant temp sensor. Had both replaced ($280!) Chk engine light came on again and engine isn't warming up like it should. Shop said most likely will need thermostat replacement! 9 hours of labor!! Ugh!!$$$$
I’ve had the door handle leather issue but I’m able to tuck mine back in still, spoiler issue, headliner issue and my hood vents are cracked. 😭
Wellllllll glad to know I’m not alone lol
Any one have insight regarding power steering problems of steering just stops working while turning?
I have none of those issues. The ones I have is the paint fade on the rear spoiler and hood scoops. 2009 with 168,000 on it.
Based off your experience would you buy one with 140k miles?
My g8 gt was a great car. Buy one if you can find a good one. Unfortunately I wrecked it doing g8 shit lol. Went out like it would have wanted to
Lol
Bro every issue you have I have the same on my g8 😂😂
Most of these are the same problems that the GTOs have. Fantastic motor and drivetrain, terrible suspension and interior problems. But I still love my goat and haven't experienced any of these issues yet.... Yet.
I built them so any issues I know heaps about them
It’s sad how that’s like that I have one and have none of those Issues
Driven harder then most G8’s
No offense but that just seems like stuff that happens when you neglect or beat the crap out a car. You said you drive it down dirt roads....not a car you should be driving down that kind of road. I got mine brand new, it 12 years old and I have none of these problems....I doubt these problems are "common"
My g8 didn’t have any of those issues😂 my shi clean
Damn it’s the dollar generals Danny brown whats crackin baby !!!!
Things that necessarily don't break break in that car sounds like it's very cheaply made
how much did you pay for yours? do you feel like the market for them is high rn or at least had gone up?
I paid around 15k. Been having mine for i think 3-4 years now. I forget. It’s stayed about the same. Since then. 15k with 70k miles.
My main issue is the radio and the ac controls. That pisses me off
If that’s the only thing, then all you need is an aftermarket one.
it's all cheap materials used from factory sadly, still a great car
I see the same problems with the leather luckily with only in my driver seat and not passenger seat yet but headliner has fallen down fully we’ve used thumbtacks for now getting it fixed soon but leather is definitely a problem I had a motor rebuild too as well because of radiation blowing up but love the car just a lot of very common problems sucks
I want one so bad, they're hella rare now.
got a turbo one for sale in san antonio
@@Moe_Nation how much ?
I love our G8s
Metoooo
I have a 2009 g8 gt with 93000 I don’t have none of these problems
U forgot about the common dreaded steering wheel shake
That’s a new one....that’s one i don’t have lol
Yep
Literally everything you have wrong I got wrong with mine 😂😂
Lol common issues.
i fixed the bumper sag with styrofoam it works great..
Seen a lot of people do the pool noodle mod. But i got use to the sagging bumper already lol
I own a 95 Lexus LS 400, with 220,000 miles and live in South Florida. It has zero of these issues. Yes it is a premium old luxury vehicle but the problem here has been a problem for years with American made cars...cheaply made, and cheap materials on the cars. I do want a g8 or Chevy SS but decent ones are getting harder to find and comes with a premium price. All my dummy friends drive the overrated, overpriced Dodges. When was the last time you seen a Hemi with over 200,000 miles? That question always shut them up when they brag about the Mopars 😄
Bro my g8 has none of those issues. The inside looks brand new.... I just bought the cotton engel eyes halos with the bar.....
Like I said mines has none of those problems.....
Post a video. I'd like to see yours
@@792bnz - that was 2 years ago. Now that car probably doesn’t drive no more !
@@mar1video it was about a year when I asked the question. And let them respond unless it's you with a different account
@@792bnz - no bro.
The one I’m dealing with right now it’s 2009 G8 with a busted transmission. Got quote to fix it $3,200-$3,400 . With 165k miles - not worth fixing.
😔
Dude that g8 is roached lol
Have you had any issues with the door drains clogging? I've seen a few people mention that their drain gets clogged and water gets trapped in the door.
Haha that’s funny cause that has happen. Last month i had a bunch of water came out.
AND YOURE IN TEXAS!!!
Yes sirrrrr San Antonio to be exact.
So build quality basically lol. gm goes together with build quality like oil and water lol.
It’s a Holden
hey moe how much did you pay for your whole wrap on the g8?
I honestly didn’t pay much. Normal person will charge 2-3k. I paid way less then that.
Who did the wrap job I need someone thatll do it fo a good deal
Guy in new braunfels. Doesn’t have a shop
Bro hows the maintenance and gas on them, you put only premium?
Looking at getting a SS, G8 or a Q50
For the G8, it’s not bad. I only put 93 in my G8. Driving around the city, the gas mileage is alright but on the highway it’s wayyyy better. Parts can be a little pricey for the G8 for it being an older car. It depends on the part. Maintenance isn’t bad, an oil change will normally cost around 80-100. Depending on if you do it yourself.
And much of the suspension and undercarriage is 5th Gen Camaro.
The LS motor also has commonalities.
Body parts are hard to come by especially the hood scoops.
Is it easy to find parts for these cars?
Not really. Depends on what your looking for. Parts tend to be pricey tho.
@Moe_Nation, I'll be in your town tomorrow and can fix that seat side piece easily.
The broke piece ?
@@Moe_Nation yeah. Just takes a few mins and some patience.
Got Instagram ?
@@Moe_Nation I emailed you
Nice video. I was looking for something else and stopped here to watch yours. I have a 2008 and I've only had 2 of the problems you've highlighted so far. The leather on the inside of the driver's door has come out of the plastic slightly. Fortunately it hasn't gotten worse and is not noticeable. I went through it with the belt coming off. Ended up replacing the pulley with the double pulley and haven't had the problem return. For the past 1+ year, ABS and stability control won't work. My local shop thinks the computer isn't putting out enough volts and needs to be replaced. He suggested I take it to the dealer, but I've just let it go for now.
Thanks for watching 🦾💯. Hopefully i figure out the abs issue of these days. I think it’s something electrical also.
Stability and ABS not working is most likely the speed sensor easy fix and cheap part
Mm we thought the same thing. Actually changed that and the harness. Still won’t turn off.
@@IanKen Replaced those... didn't fix it.
Got so many of these minor problems 🤣🤣
Aye i got all of them 🤷🏾♂️🦾😂
I have had a g8 since 2009, only had to replace radiator, front and back suspension, and the intake, I also put long tube headers, but pretty good so far
edit I also have been driving for a year without a headliner since it started to sag
Mines isn't a word........
Your G8 is fire tho
thanks!
crappy leather quality i have the cloth ones ....
Your g8 is kinda trash why not get those problems fixed?
bro im almost at 200k miles an i dont have most of the issues your saying God im thankful #blessed
Some of mine is neglect but i swear most of it just happen randomly.
G8 or 05-06 GTO?
That’s hard lol. I’ve had both. I’ll take the G8 because I really like sedans but I loved my Gto too when I had one. That’s one car I wish I wouldn’t have got rid of.
Was thinking about trading my Dodge Ram for one.
Their worth is. Best car I’ve ever had tbh.
Would you recommend buying a 09 gt 110k miles for 22k?
No, unless it’s fully modified. I bought mine for 15k with 70k miles. The bank won’t even finance that.
Gold plated - hell yeah ! Otherwise stay far from it . Money pit !
should i get a g8 or g6?
g8 all day. But get whatever you can and what will make you happy.
I got 214k miles on my G
Would you recommend buying the v6 with 127k miles, $9k?
No. At best it’s only worth maybe 5k
If it had lower miles then maybe
@@Moe_Nation alright thanks, I had wanted to upgrade a bit get something slightly newer and a little more power than what I got, plus it looks cool but wasn't too sure if it was a good deal or not, thanks
@@aaronmedina9090 if it was the Gt then yeah. That’s a steal right now but not the V6. Nothing against the V6 version tho.
@@aaronmedina9090 - money pit, stay out of Pontiac’s 😉
That g8 is clapped bruh
I’m having trouble finding my g8 parts
Which parts are you looking for ?
Moe_Nation a/c cooler hose
Join some of the group and check to see if they parting one out.
Also some Australian places have G8/Holden Commodore parts
I’ve been lookin for a g8 under 6k do you kno any?
V6 or GT?
You could get a v6. Still come with 255 hp.
Rew tru but if you get a g8 you gotta go all out
@@SheeLovesCam its gonna be real hard to find one for 6k. You could probably get a gto for that price but a g8 might be a lil bit of a search 😂
Will those 20” Wheels fit over a brembo break upgrade on front?
Yesss.
Moe_Nation good cuz I just ordered sum thanks buddy I just bought a
09 with 77k the Detroit loins defensive line coach had it in his shop thanks for all the video they are helpful
For my wheels ? $120
I was about to get one but no thanks.
Would you recommend buying the V6 version with 150k miles ?
Depends on how much and if it’s been taken care of.
Do u wanna sell it I have a bonnieville gxp
Lol never selling the G8. Maybe the Grandprix in the future.
@@Moe_Nation Damn It hard to find A g8 fire hawk man
So there beautiful cars but shitty it’s wat I’m understanding.
Ehhh not really. My car just been through more then normal. A lot of road trips and a lot of dirt roads to get to the oil rigs i was working on. Don’t know a lot of cars that’ll with stand the stuff i put mine through.
Yoo I’m looking forward to get a g8 n found a couple but they all have 100k+ mileage, need help!!
What you need help with ?
Sub'd
🦾🦾
Anyone infotainment doesn't work?
Mines act crazy a lil bit. Only when it’s hot outside tho.
This just makes it seem like a poorly made car. Man man man.
Well considering it’s a 12yr old car and i beat on mine everyday. It’s not that bad compared to other cars in its class.
Moe_Nation thats true. I want one. Myself. Or a gxp. Just can’t find a nice one
Really cheaply made, it seems. Sucks. Good looking car...
