These scams and attitudes are worldwide. What strikes me is that you’ve explained the behaviour of young players coming back from a failed trial and not being honest about their experience. So many times I’ve noticed that here in Ivory Coast.
It’s tough for anyone to be honest with themselves and others especially at younger ages, ego’s get in the way and blinds them, all we can do is spread awareness!
This is such a great video I am surprised how you still don’t have much subs you deserve way more.

Great video! Very true about scams. I would push back a little on the Academy remarks. I see nothing wrong with hundreds existing. Parental choice is key. Decentralization is healthy, not a hindrance. Let's have many options and let gossip decide who wins out. In Sydney there may be a lot, but there are only a few major set ups that have risen to the top.
It should also be made clear: The rapid rise of the Australian Academy is the 'free market' response to the abject failures of Federation football i.e. NPL and Association coaching, development, and pathways. As a consequence, coaches have moved away from that space into their own.
I think becoming an 'agent' type from this Academy platform is very risky, as you point out the extensive knowledge and experience that is required. Hence, a 'no go' from me in agreement with you.
In summary, if one starts an Academy with the intention of up-skilling the driven players in their local area, and it stops there i.e. no tours, no setting up trials overseas,etc. Then more power to them. The overall standard in Australia is pretty shocking and needs all the help it can get.

Look, I have to strike everyone with the same brush and stick to the rule and avoid the exceptions when making these videos (otherwise I'd yap for an hour) and the reality is that just because anyone can start their own business in this case "academy" it doesn't mean they're the best option for "x" player + 47% of consumers do 0 research before buying a service meaning most of the time the first thing presented to someone is what they buy even if it is garbage.
My opinions are strong I know. But I think we can both agree that the majority of "academies" ARE garbage however, I agree with what you mentioned if a player wants extra training and focuses on the academies that aren't trying to upsell them a "Tour" or overseas "Experience" and stay in the lane of development. They have my total respect! 🫡
