Hey Russ, don't apologize for the quality of the video. It's awesome and the whole NNN prep has been an incredible journey of inspiration (for me) and no doubt huge frustration for you. Go and enjoy the event, man have you earned it! Steve (New Zealand).
Thanks! Will do! Steve hope you have a great weekend
Glad to see you are going to N.N.N. most people would have given up after all that you've been through in the last month!! Your determination is unbelievable!! Have an awesome time with your buddies in Sikeston!!
That's the plan!
🔥😎🔊
Congrats for getting your plan F ready to go on time.
I tell what, your mechanical knowledge far exceeds mine, even with the older cars I used to work on. I never tore down engines or transmissions.
Glad Daisy approved your work! Have fun at the No Name Nats!

@@HotRodGuyGarage 🔥😎
Love your soul brother, especially how you love Daisy! Glad you’re finally headed to the No Name Nationals! Good luck!
Hopefully finally some good things going this way
Time is tight!
Very!
🤩Have a great trip
I'm sure gonna try
It's great to see your positive attitude after all the setbacks that have been set before you. I'm certain lesser men would have simply thrown up their hands in dispair with many more in agreement. You wanted to take your '70 Torino, pouring much TLC (Time, Labour and Cash) into it in preparation only to be disappointed BUT not defeated by valvetrain issues. Throughout the ordeal you kept the camera on, not shutting us out. Of course you appeared to be down during this process; who wouldn't be? You redirected your efforts to the SVO, knowing it too had issues. If anyone deserves to get to the National's it's you, Russ. (AND if some form of "Hard Luck" award is possible, YOU should get it!)
This is all meant to be positive and I know you will see it in that way as you have a "Positive Attitude" yourself.
Sorry to be so "wordy", sometimes it's necessary to get ones point across. Good luck and travel safe, to AND from the Nationals. From Canada.
Ha! I'm definitely robbing your "TLC" comment now. Good one!😂
Thanks Randy, I sure put everything into this year I refused to give up even though it would had been the easy way
Should have taken a Geo Metro!
I could had
Enjoy your time Russ you deserve it. Be safe and have fun
Thank you, I will
Daisy doing her catscan .Still running the stock 7.5 rear ?
It has aftermarket axles in it
Ms Daisy marked the hood, rubbing her face on it
@@HotRodGuyGarageI've grenaded two different 7.5s once in my 1983gt mustang and the second time in a bone stock 1983 Tcoupe. the spider gears/ carrier is the weak link. Not to jynx you lol... At least the axels are the same as the 8.8 for a future upgrade if you stick with 28 spline. I'll say a prayer for you!
Glad to see you got one going and Daisey approves. Have fun at NNN
Thanks! Will do!
I wish for you a safe trip and a great time had. Long Live the Pontiac Turbo Firefly!
Thanks! Will do!

Great Job sir.
Thank you
Dang, you're a beast dude, pretty impressive amount of work you got done. If you have a second, I was curious about that reverse gear comparison. What did you find out? Good luck man, you've earned a fair shake.
I ended up swapping a spare trans in till I have more time to dig in
Thanks!
Thank you 🙏
Good luck bro! Mash the Skinny pedal!
Through the floor 😀
Daisy stays very clean. Does she wear gloves when she’s working?
She keeps clean
Glad it went relitivly well. Surprised, you didn't just take the seventy one, seem to give you no grief on the way to summit and back the other day.
Brake records not parts.
@freyja4954 the green car has a recycled 351W AKA Chevy LSx; that's asking for trouble from the ____ guys
Won't pass tech
Check it out good Daisy, he's got a long way to go and a short time to get there!
Absolutely 😁
Hey everybody's said everything but I got a question. What about the trans was that part in right ? good luck
No it was the same as the other, I'll dig in it deeper later on
Well, despite all the hassles, you've still got some pretty sweet cars at the end of the day.
It sucks that, now, you've gotta pay $10,000 for bucket full of 1970 vintage rot
that's been sinking into a field for 20 years.
I hade a very, very solid 1970 Cutlass S that I bought in 1994 for $1600.
Florida car. It needed restoration, but it was just dents, some old filler,
and a failing shit repaint. Interior was fantastic, engine ran great, transmission
was trash. Long story longer, I moved 1000s of miles away, and had someone
sell it for me for $1200. I wish so much that I'd had a place to keep it.
I bet someone would ask $12,000- $15,000 for that beater today
Things have definitely gotten expensive
Any updates; HRGG has been almost 'too quiet' the last few days......
Yes on the way back, haven't had any phone service
Go have some fun! When my car breaks I take the kid's car! 🤣
Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes 😉
Former Fox Mustang Four Eye Owner, and a 335, SBF and in line six cylinder guy. Nice to see some great news! 🥝✔️💪🇺🇲😁🫡
No doubt we need some good news every now and then , I'm working on a svo and Torino update video as we speak
