- There are two verb tenses in the 3rd person singular with the same phonetic transcription that are actually pronounced differently because the accent doesn't fall on the same syllable. This one tiny change makes the whole difference. Learn how to pronounce these words so that describing a past event does not sound like a plan for the future. :)

This is the error I make so frequently when conversing with my tutor that he rolls his eyes in exasperation! He can probably predict it before I’ve finished the sentence. This lesson was good practice for me and helps to fix it in my brain. I’m looking forward to some success and a surprised tutor!
