Such a great video to review the basics. I notice that the ones with specific endings with final sylable accents, are really odd. I say, odd, because, I seem to just know these, without knowing the underlying rules. Perhaps this is the same in Spanish. I've been speaking american Spanish for 27 years, and even then never really thought about this rule. LOL... Thanks again!

I just finished watching your video on the alphabet and suddenly it became clear to me - I need to pay close attention to the syllables if I’m going to pronounce Portuguese well so I raced back here to re-watch this video. I haven’t had any instruction before you which emphasised the syllables in addition to the sounds of the letters. I did a bit of practicing and I have discovered that when I pronounce a word like I think I should it sounds different than when I pronounce it like you teach it (syllabic). Am I correct? English is my mother tongue; are its syllables formed differently? Your opinion, Madame Philologist, please!

Olá, gosto muitíssimo do teu canal e me inscrevi. Sou espanhol e hoje começo a aprender português europeu desde o início.
