"Most of us had haircuts like Billy in those days, which first started with Tony Curtis trunk, then later swept back. As for his suits. I can still remember coming back to England from my overseas posting, and buying 'two' made to measure within the same month (Crombi to match."
God bless you Billy i was broke but bought the the record that was the only record I had and still own it now you are a star and always .iam not gay but will always love your music man x
Sadly Billy died early in life He literally wasted away , someone that was on his last show with him said he weighted just nothing or some Memories of my youth Maybe Tomorrow, I still remember every line of the song. But I'm now 85 and saw them all, Buddy Holly, Johnny Ray, Chuck Berry, The Platers ,Bill Haley , Beatles, A great time to be in your teens and twenties,
Remembers me very much the 50ties, back then in Switzerland, when my much older brother made party in the basement with lots of oily haired boys with courios shoe tips and girls with ballony skirts and ballet shoes. I saw the envelope - a good looking guy -Billy Fury- well, and I started to dance too...... Had no clue though that this was the late father of the later famous Kim Wilde (kids in america..) And yeah, times go by, thanks for publishing, enjoyed it alot
Ths record came out as the background music to a TV movie - anyone remember what it was. It was something like the Likely Lads but not them. It wasn't the movie shown on the video, it was before he was well known.
Movie play it Cool 1960 with bobby vee Danny williams Helen Shapiro it's out on dvd 2023 good movie directed by Michael winner who went on to be a very famous movie director
