Imagine Ava shape-shift to another body in KH: Missing Link to see how everything is going around, maybe she's the one who cause all the chaos so this place can be forgotten so that MoM can never know of this place and it's history. So that she knew Ephemer would be the one who made this world out of Daybreak Town and she has her own plan/mission just like Luxu said at the epilogue in KH3. Interesting character she is, she can be a friend or an enemy.
With the Japanese word for the Foretellers "roles" being the same one used for focuses in the Fabula Nova Crystallis games and the fact that Luxu very heavily implies that the reason Ava didn't appear during the KH3 epilogue scene is that she completed her role, I like to believe she is stuck in a crystal somewhere and will be back when the MoM gives her something else to do.
a little something came to my attention while rewatching the finale of dark road. which made me realise the whole Sora deal. Since Sora is a child of destiny he is being tested by darkness time and time again over and over. now he is in quadratum. It would kind of make sense that Strelitsia is actually Ava in disguise to train Sora in order for him to become Lights master. Especially because Yozora brought up the issue of the identity theft in his world. This could explain why Sora was never deemed a 'Keyblade' master as they try to make him into Lights master instead.
It's actually just hard to say. I don't think it would makes sense for her to be Kairi's grandmother or Subject X. I think the more we know about quadratum the easier it may become cuz who knows. She could be switching Semblances as well too

Ansem Seeker of Darkness seems really sure that the Door to Darkness that he made in KH1 would lead him to Kingdom Hearts, also Xehanort, Kairi's Grandma, and others hint at the idea that Kingdom Hearts is hiding in darkness. Which makes me think that it is possible that the true kingdom hearts the one that MoM knew about in his childhood is somewhere in the realm of darkness. What would that mean for the story? I think that all these times that we try to summon Kingdom Hearts we are not really doing all the parts that would allow true one to actually come out. In fact I think all these ways to summon Kingdom Heart actually need to be done at once. Here are the ways we know about. The Doorways of Light and Darkness need to be open. Likely both. We don't know when the Door to Light was unlocked but I don't think anyone has closed it after KH2. The Door to Darkness however is locked and likely we will need seven pure lights to reopen it again at some point in the future. A mass sacrifice of hearts needs to happen to form the Moon Version of a lesser Kingdom Hearts. This was done in Chi and since then has existed above the Keyblade Graveyard. The one in KH2 was mostly unnecessary as this mass sacrifice still exists and hasn't to this point been destroyed. An X Blade needs to be forged. I think it is possible that the X blade can only be forged under the light of the Sacrifice which is why both times we have seen it be formed was in the Keyblade Graveyard. Then there is Dark Road which maybe talked about two different ways of summoning Kingdom Hearts. Seven items of importance being taken form their worlds. The killing of thirteen lights. The problem with Dark Road is that it's very unclear exactly what the Darkness within Baldr was actually trying to do, or even if it was one of the formless darknesses or his own personal darkness. Honestly it sometimes feels like Baldr just went crazy and there was no plan at all. Anyway since I think all of these things actually need to be done to truly summon Kingdom Hearts. Ava being in the realm of Darkness looking for what remains of the true Kingdom Hearts actually makes a lot of sense to me. She is looking of her own free will and maybe even has a plan for what to do when she finally finds it. She might have already done so since Luxu says that she has already completed her mission.

Since you mentioned MoM’s plan about trapping Darknesses, I think his end goal is to have the 13 Darknesses in human vessels and the New Seven Hearts/Seven Crowns summon the real KH from the RoD, then use KH to erase all darkness, erasing death and bringing back MoM’s friends who died in the original keyblade war from when he was a child. Ava might be in the Black Box as a sleeping light of hope.
personally i think Ava melted her heart as well, if our character can do that, then who says no one else can do that, she could be anyone, she could be you, she could be me, she could even be- * dies *
theories of ava's fate: 1.] she was kairi's grandmother [difficult unlikely unless ava is using semblenses or shapeshifting]. 2.] that she fell to darkness [possible unlikely not enough evidence unless her heart is sleeping inside of someone while her nobody self is wandering around. 3.] subject x/black box [possibley the true dandelion or missing subject x not impossible ira is the only forteller as far as i know of that shows his hair color which is blue while the rest do not. we don't even get to see what luxu & the master of master's faces even originally look like. the true dandelion from what i understand from a vid & the cutscenes is that all thats shown is a heart in a white cloak. not enough known about subject x] 4.]shapeshifter [possible think she used it on the player in the 1 game several times could explain the talk between luxord & luxu/xigbar in olympus world.] 5.] quadratum [not impossible trailer or ending scene says sora was asleep 7 days there which was a little over a year with everyone else.] 6.] realm of darkness [possible might be looking for the true heart of original kingdom hearts aqua didn't age being trapped about 11 or so years there cause time is missing there.

I only really said this because Odin's is one of many names, and Shapeshifter happens to be one of them. No concrete evidence here, but Odin is very much just as suspicious.

I am in the camp of Ava fell to Darkness, became Dark Ava during her clash against Luxu and her heart is currently sleeping within Vanitas
