While I am glad Missing Link has finally gotten some news, I just want to hear some KH4 news man. I don't want this to be another KH3 situation where it's in development hell for years. Granted, I am glad that they're not dropping trailers spoiling a ton of the story but trailers that don't spoil story elements would be nice.
It’s not they already showed KH4 lol. This is the problem with this community. Nobody can decide what they want. If they show tons of trailers you complain they spoiled the story. If you show a little people think somethings wrong lol.

It’s actually insane to think about how this is the longest we’ve gone without a KH release. Those 2014-2017 days felt so dry, but in actuality at least we had the mobile games / KH3 trailers. Missing Link looks cool for sure but I’m really stoked for more KH4 news
You know, I get a weird sense of continuity and comfort thinking of all the years ago I watched your videos about KH3 and knowing you're still around for this new era too (heck, once FF7Rebirth releases, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the point we start seeing more KH4 info drop finally). Hell yeah, I'm actually excited for this. Partially bc I just need SOMETHING that is KH after waiting so long. I had hoped Square would have a KH4 update by now. Either way, never played Pokémon Go and didn't really play much of Union X either, but I do plan to play this as the gameplay looks decently engaging. I'll be expecting to get any/all my KH news here for a while. I'm counting on you!
I've been dormant from this fandom since 2020. Honestly, at the time Melody of Memory dropped, for me the high I got from KH has calmed down. I wasn't really as excited waiting for the next thing to come out of this series after the last game dropped, and to be honest, that's what I really needed. The years waiting for KH3 were really exhausting because of the kind of marketing that they did. I like this lull that we have after the KH4 announcement. You just don't know what to expect and now, it's all ending. Tbh I'm excited to be excited for this series again.
I'm in the same situation as you, Jared, when it comes to wondering how much Missing Link requires you to physically leave your home because, like you, I live in the middle of nowhere, the nearest town is like a 45 minute drive from me, so I'm really hoping SE took the AP accumulation feedback from the prototype test seriously and made it at least a little easier to get it. Regardless though, I still can't wait for this game!

Do I have KH relayed clairvoyance now???😂😂😂 The news is probably about Missing Link but if they randomly drop a new trailer for KH4 tomorrow, I will be shook. Okay. I think in the dream I was either booting up the game and there was some type of opening cinematic where it was showing highlights of trailers or it was an advertisement I was watching on TV. Saw flashes of Sora fighting Darth Vader and then 2B from NieR Automata showed up at some point because the one thing I want in these Kingdom Hearts games now is a NieR cameo/reference. 😂 That was about it. If there was anything else, I don't remember it now. Wait, I think Princess Leia was there at some point too, but it was a blink and you miss it type of moment. Lol.😂
Even though Missing-Link looks more fun to play than UX/DR, my major hope is that this is the last mobile game in the series with important story. I HATE that so much of the lore now is locked behind games that most people won't even be able to play years from now.
It certainly won't be the last one, at least depending on how well ML is received. A lot of people don't realize it yet but the mobile gaming industry is rising little by little and will be soon stand on the same floor as console games. In the near future, mobile phone will be no different than consoles.

Imagine a world where most games are on your phone with a touchscreen interface, and the moment the game becomes un-profitable, the server goes down and the game becomes forever unplayable. That's not a world I want to live in. And it's certainly not what I want for this series going forward. Give me back the handheld consoles any day. I'd rather shell out money paying for different consoles and at least be able to play those games years into the future than have to suffer through all new major story installments being temporary and crap to play.
@@Kira1Lawliet That is if there are only mobile service games, but mobile gaming is not just about that. What I meant is that more and more "console games-like" will be released on phones. Handheld game is really at a dead point since most current phones can do the job, and better. But in the case for ML, even if its service ends one day, as long as it will be possible to replay the entire game from start to end I think it's fine.
I wouldn't bet on it. In fact I think the mobile games are here to stay and will replace the "handheld era" of games. Mobile gaming is only growing year after year and there are no dedicated handhelds anymore. We are heading into 2024. Mobile gaming is not the same that it was in the 2010s. Genshin Impact should of proved to everyone mobile gaming is a legit field if done right.
I could not be more excited for Missing Link!! I'll be focusing on the story this time, for sure. I slacked heavily with khux but, man, the nostalgia. Another kh mobile community coming together. I can't wait!!
Edit: I was right, AP is used for “touch mode” and you gain AP using “gps mode”. I used touch mode to visit my hometown last night and it cost over 1000 AP but you gain AP from rewards at a steady enough clip that you can play in touch mode after a brief walk around the neighbourhood. Recovery points (like poke stops) are plentiful and recover AP when touched in gps mode. Based on the trailer I feel that AP is used to “astral travel” to other places, and you walk around your local area for AP free combat. I’ll update my comment if I remember tomorrow night

So I apparently found out that they released the USA beta tests already. It was while the Japanese beta testing was going on. They decided to do the US at the same time but they didn’t tell us anything. I didn’t know there was one for Americans until today so I’m kinda pissed about that. Also have you seen Wish yet? Besides Square working on FF7 Rebirth, FFXVI, Crisis Core, and some other games. I don't mind them taking their time with Missing Link and KH4. One thing that I hope that Square doesn't do, is basically hand the KH community borderline the entire game, via trailers, in the last year leading up to release. Looking at that situation with KH3, I felt that it took it's toll on the game, in releasing far too much for the public to see before release. Especially the Anti-Aqua fight.
As excited as I am for something new Kingdom Hearts, I really just can't help but think Square Enix would've benefitted making a console/PC MMO with cross-platform accessibility instead of going mobile again...

I left pokemon go pretty early but it seems that's better now and MHN is pretty good through my first play now on new game plus. I think in both cases what has help Niantic and will help this a bunch is going to be gamer feedback .
Yeah I literally just saw the first section of the game lol, the videos will likely be taken down. It looks alright so far and the music is good as always. There is a gatcha aspect, which I wasn’t aware of until I watched the beta video haha
I'm just so disappointed about the gps part, having to leave my house, with my cellphone ON MY HAND, while walking on my country, is like shouting "SOMEONE PLEASE ROB MEEEE, AND STAB MEEE!!!". So yeah....I really want to play it, but it's making me very anxious because i know i wont be able to play as much as i want, like pokemon go and monter hunter now.

im not the biggest KH fan in the world. but ive always wondered why KH tries to always branch off from their main product. their hard hitters were obviously KH 1 and 2, but seems like every time they want to make some different spin off game

I've lost interest in Missing Link as it probably won't reach USA till sometime 2024. Hopefully we get some substantial KH news next year. At least 1 KH4 trailer please.
Honestly, i wasn't super pleased with Kingdom Hearts 3. It's made my perspective on the series kinda awkward. I didnt hate KH3, but i felt like between the mechanical differences and how they handled the story, it just couldn't compare to the first two games. It felt way too Disney-fied and lost a lot of it's uniqueness, in my opinion. It just felt more like a Disney-themed action RPG instead of the universe blending wackiness that it once was. Maybe some folks never saw the series as much more than that, but I did, and I felt like i saw a massive downgrade in a lot of aspects. That all said, KH4 is an entry I am very curious about. They've set it up in a very unique way, and it's looking very different from the rest of the series. I can tell the odds of us going back to anything resembling KH1 or 2 are slim, so this is the new reality, but I do hope i enjoy the new reality at least partly as much as the older KH games.

NA is just too big landmass wise for initial testing. Australia, New Zealand and UK are smaller landmass wise, making it much easier for testing.

Yeah I literally just saw the first section of the game lol, the videos will likely be taken down. It looks alright so far and the music is good as always. There is a gatcha aspect, which I wasn’t aware of until I watched the beta video haha

I'm just so disappointed about the gps part, having to leave my house, with my cellphone ON MY HAND, while walking on my country, is like shouting "SOMEONE PLEASE ROB MEEEE, AND STAB MEEE!!!". So yeah....I really want to play it, but it's making me very anxious because i know i wont be able to play as much as i want, like pokemon go and monter hunter now.

im not the biggest KH fan in the world. but ive always wondered why KH tries to always branch off from their main product. their hard hitters were obviously KH 1 and 2, but seems like every time they want to make some different spin off game

I've lost interest in Missing Link as it probably won't reach USA till sometime 2024.

Missing Link WILL have in-game purchases. It's a free game, it's going to have in-game purchases.
Honestly, i wasn't super pleased with Kingdom Hearts 3. It's made my perspective on the series kinda awkward.
I didnt hate KH3, but i felt like between the mechanical differences and how they handled the story, it just couldn't compare to the first two games. It felt way too Disney-fied and lost a lot of it's uniqueness, in my opinion. It just felt more like a Disney-themed action RPG instead of the universe blending wackiness that it once was. Maybe some folks never saw the series as much more than that, but I did, and I felt like i saw a massive downgrade in a lot of aspects.
That all said, KH4 is an entry I am very curious about. They've set it up in a very unique way, and it's looking very different from the rest of the series. I can tell the odds of us going back to anything resembling KH1 or 2 are slim, so this is the new reality, but I do hope i enjoy the new reality at least partly as much as the older KH games.
