      @@willowhilldesigns7 Thank you for the advice. Since I live in Arizona, in the desert, I do not have the same flora and fauna. I plan to make it mine with plants, animals and seasons (we have 5!) from my own environment...a true Field Notes.

    I love your front page, and your pages. At last an organised video with ideas and inspiration. Im using calico for my backing and adding stitches and bits of collage i think. Looking forward to seeing more.

    Great minds think alike, I am building mine in a box, so they fold out and have that same fairy material. I was thinking of using on the front of the box. Love those little fairies and have used them making journals.😊 but then I changed my mind a million times before starting down the garden path, that ended up being a year long project totally hand embroidered. I am sure this one will also not be done in Dec., as I will do all 12 months of Colorado's field of notes! Will be looking to see what path you end up taking.❤

    Your plan is stunning and very excited to see it develop. I have yet to start mine but you have helped so much in deciding what I want to do, so thank you! I would love to know some of your resources for your fabrics that you showed us. You have a fabulous fabric collection. I particularly like the fairy fabric and birds. Thank you again!

      @@caroleaster5270 Thank you very much, Carol! I’m glad that I’ve been able to help in some way. My fabric is my weakness…😊 The bird fabric is Nature’s Poetry for Robert Kaufman. You can probably find the fairy fabric on eBay or Etsy. I get fabric from many different sources. Some of my favorites are Fat Quarter Shop, Old South Fabrics, Fort Worth Fabrics, Shabby Fabrics, Etsy and occasionally eBay.. Thank you for watching! 🥰

    Beautiful, love your work! Distressink will always be reactive with water, but if it will run it wil gif it a more vintage look. If you don't want that, you better use a permanent ink.

      @@mireillebaan Thank you very much; and thank you for that information! I thought it might run as it’s water soluble. Hopefully it won’t get wet; but if it does it will just add to the vintage look, as I’ve put so little on the edges. Maybe inktense sticks with fabric medium for a permanent color. I’ll have to experiment 😊

      @willowhilldesigns7 experiments are part of the fun. And a field note can have some vintage smudges. Also be carefull with sweatinghands that you don't get stains on your hands and transfer them. But no matter what the journal will be lovely. Thank you for showing your progress.

    Those marjolein books are beautiful, however I’m British and I believe her wildlife is from the States so I’m going to have to stick with Edith who was also British. .
