I really want there to be more Cloverfield movies. I love the concept of movies that have a vaguely shared universe (or multiverse, as it were) that have some levels of crossover, but are pretty much all self-contained rather than sequels or prequels.

I think that in the scene with Wolkov both Wolkovs ( From Dimension A and Dimension B) are in One Body in Dimension A. Thats why his eye does not work correctly and he starts talking to him self. The Wolkov from B tells the A Wolkov that Schmid is a traitor thats why he starts attacking him
100% i see everybody has missed this.. the worms did not make him do anything they only killed him.. both wolkovs were smashed together and the wolkov from earth b wanted to kill schmidt
Wow good insight. Makes more sense than 'the worms told him to do it'. I still wonder about the arm though.. was it from another dimension where arms are sentient or something? how could it be able to move on its own and give a message like it did... how did it know? Mundy didn't know... let alone his arm... Was its universe run by arms and they keep important items inside people instead of ..like ...a safe or container? lol I don't get it...
Doych Lobo see I’m still unclear about that. I think that because his arm passed through the wall into the other dimension it became a part Mundy B (Jensons dimension) BUT because Mundy was killed in the crash when they jumped dimensions all of Mundy was transferred over into the arm alone. That’s why it was able to move on it’s on and think for itself. It was Mundy B
More like... Jensen wanted to kill the whole crew to take the station for her planet. Even with the station's data given to her, she knew there wasn't time nor money to build ANOTHER station with the current situation back home. It's sad if you think about. Both dimensions needed the station badly and only one of them could have it.
So the thing I don't understand is this... What happened to Jensen's version of Shepherd Station? Did it just disappear to another dimension or was it absorbed into 'our' version of the Shepherd or what? They do show a shot of Shepherd Station in the water on Earth, but is that actually JENSEN'S version of the Shepherd or another one completely? They don't do a good job of clarifying what actually happened with all the dimensional shenanigans going on. For all we know, Jensen's Shepherd could still be fully functional and working in some other section of space and our crew just weren't aware of it. I mean, who's not to say that Jensen's Shepherd and the crew wouldn't just mysteriously reappear back in their dimension when our crew reactivates the Blink again? It's kind of a clusterfuck, tbh.
@@CopiousDoinksLLC It fell into the Atlantic Ocean. It's the reason why they made the movies, to make us scared and crazy😂 If u want to find the Sheppard of Jensen's dimension, they need someone to search for it, start at the Atlantic Ocean😂😂
@@CopiousDoinksLLC they watched on the news after dimension hopping that the Shepard fell into the atlantic, and the power generating operation was a failure in their dimension. This was explained my dude.
Volkovs eye twitching, in my opinion, was not because of the Worms (eventhough you see them crawling a few seconds before his eye goes crazy) but because of the other volkovs mind that got merged with this volkov. You even see him talking a few words to himself (“excuse me?” “Yeah, I know”) implying that he notices that he got merged with someone. The strange eye is the other volkov looking around through his host. That would also explain why he knows that Schmid betrayed them. The Worms and the gyro being inside of him where just another side effect of the God Particle and didnt have anything to do with him going crazy.
Peet Kalm Would you happen to know why Mundy' s arm knew the gyro was in valkov? This question has been running in my mind and I can't figure out an answer.
with volkovs i figure the worms were feeding on his brains or borrowing.. this of course effect logic and he started to get delusions. till the worm hit an important part and cause to finally die. how he live so long with the gyro inside of him i have no idea.
Peet Kalm but didn't Earth-2 Volkov die along with the rest of the crew when they crashed into the ocean? And did Earth-1 ship crash into Earth-2 ship cashing the ripple effect when they teleported into their Universe-2?
Morty the ship on Earth 2 crashed because of the Earth 2 german guy. He was a traitor. Earth 1 german guy however was not a traitor. Some people have speculated that when the dimension cracked not only did it drag Clovey in, it also let in an actual Angel and Demon, the Angel possessing the one dudes arm and the demon possessing the ship.
Morty, jensen of earth 2 survived the crash and got morphed inside the wall of the earth 1 ship thanks to the godparticle explosion, why wouldnt it be possible for earth 2 volkov to survive the crash as well and him being morphed together with the other volkov, the worms and the gyro? The particle explosion clearly took place between the moment earth 2 schmid betraid his crew, and their ship crashing in the ocean, otherwise it wouldnt be possible for jensen (and volkov) to "know" that earth 1 schmid was a traitor in the first place once she arrived in the earth 1 ship. I really dont know how to explain mundy's hand being able to know that the gyro was inside volkov, since earth 2 volkov wasnt even on the earth 2 ship after the explosion, if my theory of both volkovs merging together is close to being correct. And even if he was still on the earth 2 ship, that crew probably didnt even have time tk find out the gyro was inside volkov since they where minutes away from crashing down. So i would like to think that the angel and demon theory above is correct, and mundy's arm still being able to move and know where the gyro is was simply devine intervention.
If you watch both the first Cloverfield and Paradox at the same time the monster's appearance in the first one and firing the particle machine in Paradox match up perfectly.
1 small part, Jensen isn't trying to kill them at the end because of universal influence, it's because since her universes Shepherd was destroyed, shes wants to take Ava's since it would take to long for Jensen's universe to build another one. Small mistake but a great review none the less.
THE WRESTLEDUDE I think he means that it was because of the universe influence that she made the decision of taking the shepherd, and kill everybody. But actually both ideas are correct.
someone watched deep rising before designing the monster, cause it tottaly looks like octalus from that movie, and the whole getting up from the sea. . . something fishy over here
The problem i have with this is that the station is an experimental rig in space. It has no way of getting the power to earth and its clear the station wasn't meant to land. So both verses are now required to make a reactor on earth and would be at the same point with the analyst data given to jensen. So there was no reason to steal the station.
So what your saying is, every conflict in the cloverfeild series happens because some smart bois wanted to solve an energy crisis through fucking with the space time continuum.
A “Cloverfield” is a reference to a place that suffered a nuclear bomb, and clovers are the first plant that will grow after the earth has been “reset”. Naming the ship Cloverfield perfectly represents how the creators of the movie didn’t understand the beautiful simplicity of the first movie. It was called Cloverfield because the government nuclear bombed Manhattan. I think it shows pretty well that they never intended to do what they did to the series
They didn't nuke Manhattan they hit it with a bunker buster and it proved to be effective so they dropped about 80 of em on clovey remember at the end it left enough possibility that the guy and girl lived thru the bombing hence it wasn't a nuke
josue zarate im pretty sure he means the SEQUELS, since JJ just takes already completed movies and shoves Cloverfield references and shit into them then calls it a Cloverfield movie which is stupid
The monster in the first movie was not awoken by the satellite falling. That has yet to be explained or connected in the movies. What woke the monster up was the experiments being carried out on the dormant monster resting on the bottom of the ocean by tagruato. They were covering their activities by claiming it was an oil rig, when in fact it was a research facility.
The monster at the end of paradox is in the 2028 universe and was transported from where ever the original monster was from except this isnt the original monster because this ones a very big adult that stands above the clouds while being in the ocean. Its the same species as the original monster baby that was in the 2008's universe. But it is not the same monster.
Well maybe they are the same monster but it's just that universe version where it's a full adult since the first movie is in 2008 while this one is 2028
that would mean the paradox universe would have had to experience a baby cloverfield in 2008 even tho they didnt experience anything that alien on such a big scale until over 2 years until after 2028. They r not the same monster and besides. The original monster was confirmed to be dead im pretty sure
That was by far the best explanation of the Clover Universe! I completely understand now… Thank you so much for taking the time to educate us. Much respect ✊🏾
the monster doesn't burst through the clouds at the end if you look closely you'll see the (white)clouds are high up above him, he is actually bursting through a thick layer of (black)smoke.
Yep, definitely smoke or dust. As the capsule is descending, Hamilton sees orange clouds with somewhat mushroom cloud looking eruptions rising from them. These are probably from the destruction caused by the creatures and the military response. Just before the capsule disappears into the smoke, you can see hills off in the distance that look to be about the same elevation as the capsule, with white clouds at a much higher altitude. If you’ve ever seen a valley filled with a cloud or smog inversion with the enclosing hills visible, same effect. This is also much more consistent with how large an adult clover monster would be compared with the baby clover in the first film.
GrimmJay22 Its unclear how far away the ship is from the monster. If it is farther than we might think, it will appear smaller than it actually is. Or the monster growing. Or there is multiple monsters. Also, paradox takes place in a different dimension. Maybe this dimensions monster/monsters is larger.
Isn't it possible the monster is bursting through the lowest level of clouds? We see clouds above him, but that could be clouds resting at just a higher atmosphere.
The Cloverfield Paradox did spread multiple dimensions, but I do not think every dimension was affected by it. I believe that the ripple, just like water ripples, died out as it went. I believe the 2008 Cloverfield dimension was near the end of the ripple, because it only had one of the monsters. Since the dimension with Cloverfield 2028 was the origin of the ripple, I believe it was affected the most. So I believe that more than likely, the majority of the dimensions did not get affected by this ripple, at least not enough to where it caused catastrophic disasters.
When it comes to the multiverse, it's a whole Schrodinger's cat scenario. With the multiverse being vast and infinite, all thing are AND are not happening.
There is no "majority" of an infinite amount of realities. The more you try to wrap your head around this, the more you will realize we are incapable of actually imagining the multiverse.
Multiverse is like a frequency. You can match the frequency and meet up but not all frequencies can match up so not all universes can be affected by one universe.
Isn't the multiverse theory convenient for movies? "Yeah, remember that movie we made? Let's remake it and make it seem like a sequel/prequel, but not call it any of that, because it's actually just a different universe, so it's all canon and coexist in the same reality."
*THERE ARE 4 EARTHS, NOT 3* -cloverfield 1 -10 cloverfield lane -paradox( ava’s earth where her children died. -Jensen’s earth where the Shepard failed. Maybe its worth a mention since Jensen’s Earth couldve had some alterations after Ava’s Shepard departed from Jensen’s dimension. Note that Jensen’s dimension was similar to Ava’s, which may mean that Jensen’s dimension might have a cloverfield monster as well and might have been awoken after Ava’s Shepard departed back from Shepard’s dimension.
UP THE IRONS!!!! I interpreted it as all the stories from each movie originating from the same earth. When the space time fabric was torn the creatures were 'sent' (or whatever) to earth at different points in time. What I would like to know if I'm correct is if the clover at the end the same from the 2008 one due to hammerdown failing or it's mother? Or whether the battle from the end of 10 cloverfield is still going on now?
NursingBroom That's what I was wondering. And also whether Hammerdown failed because then it's possible the clover from the end is the one from 2008 grown up. And if not whether the one from 2008 was dropped at a different point in time than its' mother and if the paradox one is its mother going apeshit because they've been separated.
bchez101 Hammer down was successful. JJ Abrams said in an interview that despite the "It's still alive" voice you hear in the credits, Clover is dead. That was just a thing that they added to the credits since they don't know whether they are going to make a sequel or not.
Batty Steve HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHJAHAHAHJAHAHAHAH
Ritchy_626 that's what I was thinking like WTF talk about black ops 3 zombies with doctor Monty talking about the Aether, the infinite where space time was broken due to Richthofen breaking space and time, I like how cloverfield is making an exact comparison of it!
What do you want to bet that it’s a romantic tragic drama set in a concentration camp and we get 5 seconds of the silhouettes of Clover, Nazi zombies, and aliens riiiiiight before the credits? And then the stinger is Abrams mocking us for being tricked into watching another movie with “Cloverfield” in the title?
Casey Clark yes I remember him saying that but they could retcon that and still have him be an ancient deep sea creature, what of the paradox transported him millions of years into the past where he ended up in the ocean only to be waken up in 2008, they literally can do anything with the series at this point because of this movie
I'm sure that was back when the Cloverfield franchise was going to be more than a way for Abrams to trick people into watching his friend's crappy movies just by shoehorning in a few Cloverfield references as an afterthought.
Megan MacGregor what do you think of this whole paradox thing? its interesting and unpredictable! Were gonna see chaos in every dimension and timelines!
I've been theorising the multiverse since 10CL, it helps that I grew up on Doctor Who and played Bioshock Infinite, as there are a lot of similarities with how they handle the different universes, mostly Infinite. There's always constants and variables, mainly the monsters. The constant is that monsters are being thrown into different dimensions, but the monsters aren't always going to be the same. It does kind of bother me a bit that everyone thinks the large creature at the end of this film is Clovie from the first film, when it's obvious that they are the same species, but a different creature. I also think the pod falling into the ocean was just supposed to mirror the satellite falling in the first film and that's caused a lot of people to speculate that the satellite that fell was actually the escape pod, but I highly doubt that.
They spend years of work and billions of money to create infinite energy. While i achieved same results with: a cat, gaff tape, slice of bread with some spread and little gravity
@@adambroomfield2657 cats always lands on their feet , slice of bread with spread on it always lands spread side down. Gaff tape that slice to a cat and drop it . Each factor tries to overcome another making it into an endless loop , that becomes infinte energy motor.
It's because the guy who wrote the book in the movie said other dimensions/realities would be effected and demons and monsters would come, he was right about the monsters so he was probably right about the dimensions and realities
That was just foreshadowing for people that need things explicitly stated inside of a movie. Demons/monsters are up to ones own interpertation. Of course the movie is literally about alternate dimensions.
Thank you for making this video! I couldn't properly appreciate this film series before without all that context, but now that you've shown all this, it's even more awesome! Really, thank you for all this!
Did anyone think for a little bit whilst watching it that the little girl Molly, was somehow Jensen? There's a very telling transition where the scene ends on Molly and cuts straight to Jensen, idk got me thinking
I've seen people saying that it is too hard to understand, others that it's an easy out and others that it doesn't make sense. I don't agree with any of them. It was confirmed when 10 Cloverfield Lane came out that it was set in an alternative dimension so, why is people bitching about it just now? Paradox explains it self. They were not being killed just because, as said in this video (thank you, btw), the universe they jumped to was trying to correct it self, I don't see how is that hard to understand. I don't know, maybe I'm biased because Cloverfield is my favorite found footage and the only monster movie I like. I do wish they could have gone another way with them (Lane and Paradox) but I don't think it deserves all the hate it is getting.
Yeah, this theory that a universe can try to correct itself gives it a sentience that mostly is a theoretical shot in the dark that forces control time and space to the point of shoving things back to where they belong or obliterate in such random ways, like a child smashing it's friend's toys to get them out of their sandbox. Like a disembodied arm and hand tasked with giving 'somebody' a clue as to a piece of equipment . .as if the arm has ears, intent, directional control and desires. If it ain't ghosts its gods.
Yes, if the universe was trying to correct itself it would try to destroy and expulse the foreign entity, not do magic. But also... Why would it? I dont hate this movie, but it is the weakest of the Cloverfield movies in many ways.
I understand that the universe was trying to correct itself. It's like the show where James Franco tries to save JFK from being killed. The universe would push back. However problem with this in Cloverfield is they these universes overlap. You going to that Universe where you are dead shouldn't be a automatic death sentence. That other version of you is not you, and has expierenced different life events. Thus consciousness would be clearly as if you are two different people just with similar lifestyles and genetic ties. Confusing but look at Ava, her kids dies in one and not the other. So again, two different "people". Lol I guess the universe is dumb and can't understand that. But okay let's play devils advocate. If the monsters are from another universe or they are coming and going from universe to universe, why doesn't the universe correct it and kill them too? Oh we wouldn't have a movie then. Plot hole 😂 I guess they will say that all these creatures existed deep in the sea in their own universes.
This movie is the epitome of you taking a test and you ask the teacher what is the test about and she says it doesn't matter you've already failed and you say why and she says come back tomorrow and I'll tell you and then tommarow it's a totally new teacher teaching a totally new subject but that teacher has the same last name as the other one , cloverfield! Theroy!
I wish they could have made the third movie more montrous, focusing more on madness from the isolation in space, suspicious of one another, and one of them suddenly mutated somehow, etc. Because the concept is brilliant. How one incident affects all timelines and dimensions. Hopefully they can make a Lovecraftian element in the future.
They can literally make ANY movie now and it can be explained by the rip in the multiverse from the Paradox film, and connect it to Cloverfield. For example, they can make a “Cloverfield” stamped Movie that’s about how pigs evolved into a species greater than man and then built robot elephants to steal the dreams of sleeping hedgehogs. Ingenious 👏🏻...but also lazy script-writing. Welcome to the 21st Century!
@@MrTerence1970 Nope. First of all, Chinese is a written language. When it's spoken, it's referred to as either Mandarin or Cantonese. A Mandarin speaker and a Cantonese speaker will not be able to talk to each other, but they will be able to understand each other's writing. Second, China just has a ton of people. The overwhelming majority of Chinese speakers are concentrated in one country. In order to have a worldwide language, how far a language has propagated is the most important factor. Thanks to the British Empire, English has become the de facto language of trade across the whole planet. it is also the overwhelmingly most spoken language in first world countries.
I was so hyped for this movie when I heard it was announced. Loved the concept of the original Cloverfield and was wondering how Paradox was going to play out. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the limited screentime of the Clover. But the idea that this film created multiverses for other installments peaked my interest. Such as the next installment of the franchise, Overlord. Apparently, it's taking place during WW2 and it sounds so badass. Can't wait for it this October!
From what i've heard Overlord has to do something with zombies And this is prolly caused by the Shepard since the shepard might have altered the past and physics of an alternate reality
I remember seeing the Kelvin Gas Station and screaming with joy, because that’s a reference to my favorite JJ movies -and one of my favorite movies in general- Super 8
So apparently the next Clover film will be a 'true, dedicated sequel' to the very first Cloverfield movie... they will either retcon 10 Lane and Paradox, or they will continue to play off the gimmick introduced in Paradox. I hope 10 Lane gets a sequel too. Like... Cloverfield and 10 Lane were the 'what is going on?' prologue of a horror-survival-monster movie/video game and their sequels can be the military action monster movie (Clover 2) and Michelle now helping the fight against the aliens (10 Lane 2). Edit: notice how it says 'this renewable technology will take at least 4 years to complete along with another 6 years International regulatory bodies to bring the powerful revolutionary energy source by April 18 2028'... meaning the energy crisis doesn't start until at least 2018... the year the movie came out...
id be ok with 10 lane being canon if the alien ships start helping humans fight off the clover fields for the simple fact they will murder the f out of both of us anyway
No, each movie is in its own dimension so they can all exist together. The new movie will be a direct sequel to the original and doesn't necessarily affect the other 2
The whole timeline thing with multiveres kinda reminds me of Pokemon. Mainly because it's been proven that there are different dimensions. The Glitch Dimension, The Mega evolution Dimension, and not to mention all the ones were either the legendary pokemon destroy the region/world or the Villans take over.
So basically, the crew themselves were the paradox, a discrepancy in the space time continuum, as their counterparts existed (atleast physically) & therefore the dimension in an attempt to rectify the damage, ended up killing the crew which should restore the balance as their counterparts are dead, too. Interesting movie, I think sets the base for many other off world storylines.
so in the first movie every body knows the background where the ship crashed maybe bare with me just maybe it was the shepherd from the different universe or the escape pod at the end hinting a 3rd movie hope I make sense
this was the third movie lol what are you talking about? also, the thing that fell in Cloverfield was a satellite in 2008, this movie takes place in 2028
Hmmm... dimensions bleeding into each other, people getting mixed up with each other, people are switching, aaaaaand worm explosion! What did I just watch?
Funnily enough in Steel Ball Run, the President has the ability to travel between dimensions and things from separate universes are alike but different enough to notice. And things from different universes can't be in the same one together otherwise if they get too close the start disintegrating and then explode. Right when the power is first shown the dimensions also bleed into each other and they get mixed up.
You’re wrong about Volkov. It could be possible that he somewhat merged with the other universes Volkov, whether that be mentally or whatever. It’s evident when he suspects Schmidt of sabotaging the mission which is something the other universes Volkov would have known
Viratos You're probably right about that. That could also be supported by him talking to himself in the mirror and getting a response from the other Volkov. That's when he decided to make that gun and confront Schmit.
Im so pumped. I only watched the first cloverfield movie. Now im gonna watch the others. Im done watching with Alien-Prometheus-Predator Universe . Now im gonna watch Cloverfield Universe and next Godzilla Universe. Nice vid.
I sense a great disappointment in your future. Just stick with the first one tbh. It's honestly the best one. 10 Cloverfield Lane was good if you watch it with no expectations at being connected to Cloverfield. At the very least it can be super suspenseful the first time you watch it if you go into it without any spoilers. Paradox was fucking trash tho. It was basically a less scary Event Horizon with a specific kaiju thrown in at the end to appease fans and so that the writers could technically call it a sequel.
I'd like to think that when the guy(forgot his name)had worms burst out of his mouth, it was because the worms got somewhat transferred into him during the powering up of the Shepard and the jump to the paradox. It would be pretty cool.
06:44 "Because they are alive in this dimension they are essentially an abnormality, and the universe goes about correcting this..." I've never understood that logic. What is the difference between a living body and a dead body as far as physics are concerned? And if the universe has feelings about anything, why does it need kill these people in roundabout ways? If it can summon worms in them, why not just instantly turn their blood into lava? It's a dumb thing to add into what is otherwise a fun concept.
You'd think, if the universe is a seemingly sentient, aware entity that desires to purge 'imperfections' like white blood cells destroying invasive organisms, you'd think it would just kill them all as soon as possible in the most efficient way possible.
There isn't really anything to be explained. The girl who survived the ordeal was killed off by the Ukranian government since she knew the existence of the "zombies". They put her in a locked cell with them and she died. The "zombies" were most likely people who's brains were heavily affected by the radiation as some people still live in the exclusion zone. It is a really good movie and one of my favorites.
Anthony Rodriguez smh this is why movies sucks. Everyone wants to do a shared universe these movies do not connect smoothly. This series is going very sharknado.
just saw an article that if you start cloverfield and cloverfield paradox at the same time as soon as the Shepard is fired up in paradox, the monster in cloverfield starts it's rampage.

We couldn't have the Avengers lose to a more powerful foe, oh no, they were the only ones that could time travel, nobody else is allowed to time travel and outsmart them. Ever notice how majority of movies with aliens almost always paint them as villains coming to get us? How fuckin paranoid are the writers? I love sci-fi but so much of it has become trash. I do give the Clover writers credit for not allowing humans to quickly and miraculously save everyone. That shit has been so overplayed.

I think that in the scene with Wolkov both Wolkovs ( From Dimension A and Dimension B) are in One Body in Dimension A. Thats why his eye does not work correctly and he starts talking to him self. The Wolkov from B tells the A Wolkov that Schmid is a traitor thats why he starts attacking him
Daniel Lager that’s a really good theory
100% i see everybody has missed this.. the worms did not make him do anything they only killed him.. both wolkovs were smashed together and the wolkov from earth b wanted to kill schmidt
I thought I was the only one who thought of that theory

Copious Doinks LLC. It fell into the ocean in hers after it failed.
@@CopiousDoinksLLC It fell into the Atlantic Ocean. It's the reason why they made the movies, to make us scared and crazy😂 If u want to find the Sheppard of Jensen's dimension, they need someone to search for it, start at the Atlantic Ocean😂😂
That actually.....makes sense
@@CopiousDoinksLLC they watched on the news after dimension hopping that the Shepard fell into the atlantic, and the power generating operation was a failure in their dimension. This was explained my dude.
It's only been 3 days and this guy already made a video explaining? DANG I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
You lyin
He's not, its true
1 small part, Jensen isn't trying to kill them at the end because of universal influence, it's because since her universes Shepherd was destroyed, shes wants to take Ava's since it would take to long for Jensen's universe to build another one. Small mistake but a great review none the less.
THE WRESTLEDUDE I think he means that it was because of the universe influence that she made the decision of taking the shepherd, and kill everybody.
But actually both ideas are correct.
someone watched deep rising before designing the monster, cause it tottaly looks like octalus from that movie, and the whole getting up from the sea. . . something fishy over here
Vytautas Poška gotta say i really don't see where you see a resemblance maybe the mouth but even that's pushing it.
Nah, deep rising was more like a kraken. I mean yeah, they're both aquatic based technically but no, they don't look alike.
The problem i have with this is that the station is an experimental rig in space. It has no way of getting the power to earth and its clear the station wasn't meant to land. So both verses are now required to make a reactor on earth and would be at the same point with the analyst data given to jensen. So there was no reason to steal the station.
i love how the first thing i thing about after seeing the trailer isnt about watching the movie. its about watching an ending explained be foundflix
Knifedad that's what I did😂

A “Cloverfield” is a reference to a place that suffered a nuclear bomb, and clovers are the first plant that will grow after the earth has been “reset”. Naming the ship Cloverfield perfectly represents how the creators of the movie didn’t understand the beautiful simplicity of the first movie. It was called Cloverfield because the government nuclear bombed Manhattan. I think it shows pretty well that they never intended to do what they did to the series
Of course not, the most obvious sign is the second movie was released 8 years after the first.
Don’t know if they nuked manhattan though.
Hammerdown protocol was just carpet bombing.
They didn't nuke Manhattan they hit it with a bunker buster and it proved to be effective so they dropped about 80 of em on clovey remember at the end it left enough possibility that the guy and girl lived thru the bombing hence it wasn't a nuke
Just imagine how cool this series could be if it was PLANNED OUT BEFOREHAND, instead of sci-fi films being jury-rigged to fit the overarching story

Not your angel wait, off topic but is the supposed satellite that crashed actually the space station?

the monster doesn't burst through the clouds at the end if you look closely you'll see the (white)clouds are high up above him, he is actually bursting through a thick layer of (black)smoke.
Still tho the monster was way bigger then the first movie. Just look at how tiny the ship was compared to the thing
William Brown I was thinking this too. Couple different possibilities here.
Or it bounces back from hit the edge creating additional ripples
There is no "majority" of an infinite amount of realities. The more you try to wrap your head around this, the more you will realize we are incapable of actually imagining the multiverse.
I commend you for the interesting theory and giving more thought than the filmmakers actually put into combining the movies.
Multiverse is like a frequency. You can match the frequency and meet up but not all frequencies can match up so not all universes can be affected by one universe.

-paradox( ava’s earth where her children died.
NursingBroom a good possibility.

Megan MacGregor same😂😂😂
Megan MacGregor so for like 3 days
Yes, but it felt like forever. I'm not sure why.

💥🔥🥳🥳🥳
but I loved 10 Cloverfield lane tho
"the universe they jumped to was trying to correct it self" is one of the things that didnt make sense.
Mell Bruce
Agreed, I loved it!
Maybe the Volkov’s of both univeses somehow fused, that would explain how he thought Schmidt was a spy and why he was hearing a voice in his head
Aldo Medina what about the fucking worms
FloorKarpeting what do you think killed him? It’s a better explanation than worms making a man schizophrenic

Second, China just has a ton of people. The overwhelming majority of Chinese speakers are concentrated in one country. In order to have a worldwide language, how far a language has propagated is the most important factor. meanwhile in the pod while they zoom towards the megalithic beast, WHEN YOU TRY YOUR BEST BUT YOU DON'T SUCCEED!
For a while I thought Clover wasn't gonna be in the movie... until the movie was ending.
Years later, this made so much more sense
So basically they're all happening at the same time with slight or major differences? Damn.
Imagine if this actually happened...
Dan R nooooo
didnt it . . . . . .
Dope
Dan R It will, look up CERN and D-Wave
Maybe it has in another dimension
DC comics flash point paradox helped me understand the concept
After realizing that all 3 movies were a part of each other I had to go back and watch all of them all over.
I can't wait for Babadook. Anyone else?
How are you everywhere?
Explain the Autopsy of Jane Doe !!!
Weliyah Baga yea I agree
Agreed. That was a great movie. Loved it
That movie will be good if Theres no witch , and the plot twist is That they halucinating
Jago Nembak that’s what I was thinking !
That’s a good one, I’d love to see that ending explained!
It says Unicron the destroyer is a multiverse creature living in all universes
I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS
I WATCH THEM AT WORK THEY ARE AMAZING
THANK YOU FOR BEING THE BACKGROUND AUDIO TO MOST OF MY DAYS
Thank you so much for this, I was so confused about the ending, thanks for covering it! :D

W Cross you having a stroke m8?
I was so hyped for this movie when I heard it was announced. Loved the concept of the original Cloverfield and was wondering how Paradox was going to play out. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the limited screentime of the Clover. But the idea that this film created multiverses for other installments peaked my interest. Such as the next installment of the franchise, Overlord. Apparently, it's taking place during WW2 and it sounds so badass. Can't wait for it this October!
From what i've heard Overlord has to do something with zombies
And this is prolly caused by the Shepard since the shepard might have altered the past and physics of an alternate reality
The new movie will be a direct sequel to the original and doesn't necessarily affect the other 2
Foundflix 4 life
When I saw the part where the the Cloverfield monster bust out of the cloud line I was so excited and surprised
Aidan Heffington He already explained that in the video. It's different.
christian castillo that's what I said in a different universe kinda
Aidan Heffington hinting a 3rd movie? You mean 4th?
It makes more sense for it to be the other shepherd considering that it couldn’t be the pod since paradox takes place in 2028
this was the third movie lol what are you talking about? also, the thing that fell in Cloverfield was a satellite in 2008, this movie takes place in 2028
Hmmm... dimensions bleeding into each other, people getting mixed up with each other, people are switching, aaaaaand worm explosion! What did I just watch?
You would be good at cinema sins
Funnily enough in Steel Ball Run, the President has the ability to travel between dimensions and things from separate universes are alike but different enough to notice. And things from different universes can't be in the same one together otherwise if they get too close the start disintegrating and then explode. Right when the power is first shown the dimensions also bleed into each other and they get mixed up.
100th like
@@FossorialFungus ÎS THIS A MOTHERFUCKING JOJO REFERENCE
This reminds of the cod zombies storyline
You’re wrong about Volkov. It could be possible that he somewhat merged with the other universes Volkov, whether that be mentally or whatever. It’s evident when he suspects Schmidt of sabotaging the mission which is something the other universes Volkov would have known
Viratos that's literally what i thought the other volkov merging with our volkov
Nice vid.
Tbh the only multiverse movies I'm really looking forward to is Cloverfield ones.
Prepare to be disappointed.
Have fun with the Godzilla series!
It would be pretty cool.
basic kween exactly what happened they were teleported due to the the dimensions crashing together just as Jensen was teleported into the wall
Why was there even worms in the first place? What purpose did they serve? The only other time they showed the worms was in the opening scenes. Lol
Nice I watched this movie today and was hoping for an ending explained :D
I've never clicked an notification so fast in my lifeu
06:44 "Because they are alive in this dimension they are essentially an abnormality, and the universe goes about correcting this..."
I've never understood that logic.
Relax it's a movie
Can you do a Chernobyl diaries ending explained
There isn't really anything to be explained. The girl who survived the ordeal was killed off by the Ukranian government since she knew the existence of the "zombies". They put her in a locked cell with them and she died. The "zombies" were most likely people who's brains were heavily affected by the radiation as some people still live in the exclusion zone. It is a really good movie and one of my favorites.
THAT ENDING THO!!!!! lets hope part 4 " overlord " is good 👽🖖👽 i still believe
Anthony Rodriguez dude the premise sounds epic, American paratroopers facing off against supernatural nazi experiments in ww2?! fuck yeah
legendary lunatic97 dude am digging the concept & curious to see easter eggs & hints from the other cloverfields series
Anthony Rodriguez smh this is why movies sucks. Everyone wants to do a shared universe these movies do not connect smoothly. This series is going very sharknado.
Sounds like the Wolfenstein games.
Sir bitches agree to disagree its all good
Learn from Barry Allen don’t F with the time line
Steered Shark554 they didn't directly mess with the TL
Dubh sorry this was other dimensions
Dubh yeah they fucked with realty.
just saw an article that if you start cloverfield and cloverfield paradox at the same time as soon as the Shepard is fired up in paradox, the monster in cloverfield starts it's rampage.
You know what Cloverfield sounds like it needs to be linked to after all of this?
Pacific Rim
Tanis C Bruh!😱 that would be awesome.
that's what i was saying, but the first monster comes from the Atlantic! not Pacific! also i dont think they have unlimited power in the Pacific rim universe
Yeah
Tanis C no Godzilla
What if it started the Upside down?? "Stranger things"
