      Realistically it was the defense that won them the 2 championships. Manning contributed, but neither he nor Brady were that great in either game. Rewatch the last drive of the first SB. He should have been intercepted at least twice and had to rely on someone catching the ball against their head.

    It’s probably the most underrated ability for a WR. The instinctual awareness to know when/how to get down and avoid kill shots. I’ve seen great WRs in college who could and couldn’t. The difference in their careers was huge when it came to availability and playing at as close to 100% healthy as possible.

    People that say Eli was never a top 5 QB ever in his career must have missed 2011. The man was a beast in 2011. Top 5 no doubt that year. The same year he said he was an elite QB and everybody laughed at him. Well it turned out he was an elite QB that season. He basically willed the team to the playoffs that year and finally got some help from the defense during the playoffs. Played his ass off that year during the regular season and the playoffs. Plus he beat Tom Brady and the Patriots that year in Super Bowl 46 with a masterful throw to Mario Manningham in the clutch.

    • @AzureKite
      @AzureKite 4 года назад +23

      Manning has been a victim of the Giants organization being terrible at football. Every single year he would carry a sorry ass team to the playoffs and somehow manage to win because he had that clutch gene. The man had more 4th quarter comebacks every year than some quarterbacks called "elite" have in their career. Sure the last leg of his career made him look bad, and he'll always live in the shadow of his brother Peyton, but Eli carved a very nice career out for himself up there in that awful NY team.
      I'm a Patriots fan but I have mad respect for the lad.

  • @owenfoster8073
    @owenfoster8073 3 года назад

    Tbh him getting a .500 in his career record is a W. For him being a city and a franchise icon he didn’t get treated like the others in the nfl I’ve seen and tbh some of their biggest wins in their franchise while he was there was because he made some big play to either keep them in the game or win them the game. His last few years will always be a reason on why he shouldn’t be in but he didn’t have his long time head coach and offensive coordinator but I think he should get in because of how he’s won and boy for a QB who was a little inconsistent in games he definitely won and played well at the biggest and most important times. A lot of young QBs nowadays don’t have that
